  1. I sold my MIB Takatoku Super VF-1S for $1600 back in 2001, it's not even sealed.
  2. I got an shipping notice from OD today, I thought they are shipping the vt-1, but when I run the number it is the CF 1A.
  3. Me too, my local toy shop is taking $145 for the preorder. I'm sure we will see separate armor packagagin and color variations next year, but graham we seriously need the mechanical hands in 4 differen poses.
  4. I can't tell but it looks a bit raised like water decal without excess edge. The VT-1 is production toy, as you can see the sprue marks cut on the fast packs, but nobody is sure about the tempo printing, kinda vague. One thing I must say is the Vt-1 and VE-1 are awesome in V2 form. I have ordered 2 of each.
  5. The last weathering V2 I know was Max's 1S, I have not seen the tv 1J yet, any picture?

    VF-1

Actually the diecast in the legs are the main factor that turns me away from V1. I really hate diecast parts unless it's inner skeleton. Like the 1/55 chunky monkey, the discoloration of plastic/diecast and poor fitment are the main factors that turn me down. Other than that, I do agree with the V1 on price, they are atleast half of what V2 cost. V2 is the best VF-1 toy ever made in my book with the exception of shoulder issue in first release of Roy. I'm building the whole line. Like what others have said, get the 1/48 if you only wanted one, get the V2 to have a complete collection.
  7. I believe it will come with 2 trays, one with valkyrie and the other one is armors so it should have the standard missiles, gun pod, clips, pilot figurine... Unless yamato comes up with something new with the valkyrie in battroid mode, but very unlikely.
  8. stick to one, I've made my choice in 1/60 for the whole line.
  9. If you already have a line of 1/48 in collection, keep it. If you only have the 1/48, sell it off and get the whole line of V2.
  10. I am not sure whether it's a good thing or bad thing, I have no feeling with the wall of takatoku's and bandai's. It's a great collection nonetheless.
  11. yes those feet covers are meant to make the valkyrie in proportion with the armors. If you look couple pages back you will see a comparison between 48 and 60, the 48 looks horrible with big boobs chest armor, fat legs armors and tiny feet. The feet covers is really a nice touch. The only thing that I will complain is they did not have the movie hands included.........wtf
  12. Here they are selling $50 for this little kit.
  13. The side covers and neck piece are on the valkyrie, relax dude. I'm in love with this toy.
  14. I almost forgot I bought the same figure 10 years ago from HLJ, the box was huge and I have trashed it but I have forgotten where I store the figure. I should dig it out.
  15. Nice piece except the right thigh, I will do some surgery to minimize the gap if I were you.
  16. IF the only reason that you think it makes sense for you to get it is because AFa graded $2000 and you can get it for $1000 now, then fetch it up later for $1400 or $1500. You are totally wrong and 10 years behind to do that. I collect my toys just because I love the valkyries, not thinking to make money off of them. There are so many options out there and the wise option is V2 for whole collection, from a collector aspect. I can get 9 Yamato V2 for a grand.
  17. I want all the bad guys in 1/60 scale to match with V2. Regult, tactical pod, warriors etc..............
  18. I'm getting mine this weekend.
  19. No need to do experiments in each release. The more is always better if they can do up to the smallest markings like all those "no steps" on both wings, nobody will complain I assume.
  20. I was thinking that way too but here are my concerns: 1. Construction wise, I think you will have some hard time to make the male peg on the hand to go through the wrist plate on lower arm armor, then you have to make sure the male peg go through the wrist plate on valkyrie arm. It would be easier if you drill larger hole on the wrist plate to make more room, but bear in mind that the wrist plate in the valkyrie is rotating when you put the lower arm armor on because you actually can't hold it when you dress it up with armor. This is the main reason, I assume, that Yamato do the other way around. 2. Perpestive wise on toy value, ruining a mechanical hands seems doing less damage to the toy and I can reverse engineer back on the hands by inserting another male peg. Furthermore, the hands are optional parts which is not the main portion of the toy. 3. Customize the gbp-1s armoer seems doing more damage to the toy because it is one of major parts of the toy, many, like me, will hesistate to do so because it depreciate the toy with custom work on it and not keeping the toy "intact".
  21. I'm getting two of them. It would look much more better if they change the yellow to light gray too, but that will make it has nothing to do with roy.
  22. I will rob yamato factory in china before you can buy them.
  23. It makes sense for Yamato to do the changes in this GBP-1S armor. Well, they are improving the appearance of the arm armor by adding a Wrist plate instead of exposing the valkyrie's original color with hollow feel. The wrist plate enhance the appearance and make the color even out. However, there is a catch that it's very difficult to insert the male peg from hand into the slot or armor, then it has to go through the slot in the valkyrie wrist unless you make 2 pieces line up correctly. Bad choices. So Yamato has to make the male peg on the wrist plate and change the hands. They are constantly evolving, I find no improvement from Bandai for their 25 years old tooling.
