Not bad for an average laptop. I wish I had a better video card than an Intel integrated video card....nasty. Going shopping for a gaming desktop puter soon.

  2. Nice... an American soldier witho no regards to life, especially American citizens... and someone who buys illegal copies of movies. So patriotic, so uncriminal. Your argument not only reveals you as a tool, but a simpleton as well.

I didn't buy....I watched it on a COMMUNIST CHINESE COMPUTER SERVER online. And for the record, I don't give a rat's ass about Hollywood and their annual crap of bs movies. When I buy DVD's , I get my money's worth. Any legal matters taken, will be on that site.....in China. Kinda like people watching on youtube.

Two, I was speaking hypothetically if I was in that situation with ordinary citizens like....you. In real life, who knows??

Three, I couldn't care less what you think. Who are you??? I bet you(99% of all you people in here) download all kinds of crap in that computer of yours (porn, mp3s, and movies).

  3. Am I the only one who thinks the military responded quite mildly to the threat? Sure, they had some tanks and soldiers trying to machine gun the monster, but I was expecting like 20 Apaches around that thing like hornets. F-22's, Napalm... the works...

They should have called that special ops team from Transformers :p

Heck ya...all you need is 2-3 AC-130 Spectres up there AIMING for the brain of the monster's head and that thing is finish.

  4. Ummm, in the movie its actually referenced that Rob is the vice president of a company. I have no idea what any of the the other characters did for a living but I really don't see where you got the impression that these people were parasites other than the fact that they were well dressed.

And Hud dropped the camera on plenty of ocassions. You often see him running back to grab the camera. I guess if you had to slap him around for anything it would be for being an idiot and running back in the middle of a monster attack to grab a dumb camera.

Really? I was so bored out of my mind and probably fell asleep during the middle of the film that I didn't even notice the camera falling. God, this movie sucked. They should have stuck to traditional filming with some camcorder scene ala Blair Witch Project.....not the freaking entire film I should have taken Dramamine too, to stop my dizziness. I hate reality tv and now they're sticking that crap in the big screen.

  5. I kind of got the impression that that was how he was dealing with the catastrophic situation he found himself in. He clearly wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed either. "You know about Superman!?"

Baloney!!! I'm glad I saw a bootleg copy of this than pay $10+ for this crap. Make it a Blockbuster or Hollywood video wait. It's not worth seeing in the theater. I'd rather go see American Gangster in the theater 10x over than this crap.

And me being a soldier, I would have shot that fool with the camera and any screaming dumba$$ civilian who got in my way of killing that monster or its fleas. Call it: collateral damage or friendly fire.

  6. What exactly did they do that was worthy of spit?

    Edit:

Ah, hatin on the rich kids. Liberals do often hate successful people (other than themselves, that is).

When I want to watch a monster movie featuring a Godzilla type monster, dispense with the reality tv drama.

I voted for Bush in the last election.

And yeah..I hate rich people who live off mommy and daddy's hard earned success.

Oh yeah...you got chaos going on, but you got "average joe" filming everything like that camcorder was clued to his face *lol* Did he even drop that camera even once in this make believe crap? In real life, I would have slapped that fool.

  7. My modest collection - minus my 84 Bandai Strike and Mospeada/Matchbox Cyclone with Scott.

    Happy Holidays!!!

Forget the Valks, you've got a nice living room. I can see myself drinking scotch or enjoying a good ballgame in that type of enviroment *lol* my place's a mess.

  8. Since I'm old school, I'm going with Charleston Heston and "The Omega Man" over "I Am Legend." That movie to me is a part of the 70s like Star Wars, Jaws, Planet of the Apes, and so on. Movies today lack innovative original imagination. Just recycled bullcrap.

  9. OK heres whats happening, I have a thing for my japanese tutor, I havent talkd to her for a while and I want to actually talk to her. I talkd to her friend and got myself signed up for her tutoring sessions. I dont know what to say to her, or what move to start off with. god she is so cute and sexy I mean anime girl sexy.

I can barley speak japanese. some one help me

  10. Ok I could deal with the video, but that music was god awful...I hate the hair metal of the 80's, I'd rather hear Duran F'ing Duran or Wang Chung than that...

What ever, dude. Poison rocks! I love their Fallen Angel and Nothin' but a good time songs. Of course, I like all kinds of different music genres.

  11. Yeah but will you ever sell it, maybe if you had two.

If i had one and only one i dont think i could/would ever sell it...well maybe for a ridiculous amount.

One way I get additional cash for misc. expenditures is by recycling the tons of soda cans and plastic pop/water bottles our house churns out. We were literally just throwing money away each month until we decided to recycle.

We used to throw our recy. in the containers provided by the city, now we just collect it for a couple months, throw it in the pick up, go to the recy center, then go anime shopping.

I guess I could always hand them to my future kids. There's some figures in my collection I wouldn't mind getting rid. I'm not really fond of the 1/60 class Yammy figures I bought with zeal from 2001-2003.

My friend(college and army dude) buys stuff from the internet and resells them for a slight higher price on Ebay. He makes about $100-$200 doing this. Me, personally, I would never do this. It's not worth the effort going to the postal office or UPS just to ship stuff out. I can't stand post office lines. Then again, if I was to do this, I could buy 1-2 figures a month and finish my collection goals without really taxing my income.

  12. I went to school and busted my a$$ to get where I am today, making a six figure income. I buy what I want, when I want straight from my check. I have one of everything in the Yamato and Bandai line and love my collection.

Btw, I hate unions because they raise prices on the goods that are produced, which are of low quality. I am a Republican and firmly believe that nobody needs to take care of you but yourself.

Hopefully in a couple more years, I can get to that 6 figure salary or close to it.

  13. hey guys!

Im finally getting settled in to my new place and i wanted to take some pics of what i have. Not everything is unpacked yet and the vf-1's are in somewhat boring poses but i just wanted to add my collection to this thread.

On top of the display case are some boxes that im sure you all recognize as well as the 20th ani. Optimus Prime, Voyager Movie Prime, Leader Movie Prime, Metal Gear Solid 2 Trading figs and the Masterpiece Lego Snowspeeder.

1st shelf are Japanese exclusive transformer. MP-01, the original Star Convoy, Metalforce Convoy, SHBM Galvatron, the 6 main Cybertrons from Transformers: Victory and few other tf's thrown in.

the second shelf is 1/48 Macross with a 1/60 VF-0S and YF-19 on the end. Also a 1/60 yamato strike thrown in.

3rd shelf is more transformers. TF2000, Superlink, Galaxy Force, Masterforce, Beastwars and some odds and ends. Im a big Convoy fan so i try to get all the different versions of him though most of mine are still in boxes waiting to be unpacked.

I have a much smaller shelf off to the side with some Revoltech's my Black Hybrid Convoy (THANKS MISTERRYNO!) the Stereo Who's Next Girl and some others. More pics to come when the rest is unpacked. Please enjoy.

  14. ratchet,

nice looking collection. I REALLY like that Predaking ;) And, yes my friend, you DO need a display case. Just be patient though. All good things come with time.

Dude...Predaking was a pain to assemble. But I'm happy I have him in my collection. I just need Voltes V, Yamato Space Cruiser, Godzilla, and Mazinkaiser and I'm good to go. Actually, I haven't gotten around to buying a Monster (f*ck).

  15. hey ratchet....nice set of vintage toy...from TF's to Macross....great vintage stuff!!!

Thanks....just think if I had a display case and I finally open up my 1/48s, 1/72s, 1/55s, 1/60s, and TFs from their box prison, I'd really have something to show you....well from a humble and meager collector like me anyway.

  16. Note where I said, INVERTED, the engine intakes on our little paper concept are dorsal not ventral. And no, we are not trying to bring back the A-12, what a POS that was.

No sh*t..... everything went downhill for the Navy and the Tomcat after that crap. Too bad Reagan wasn't around anymore to get these things completed. Reagan was a military friendly president all the way. I miss the 80s.
