I once had an issue with a defective product and got full refound and kept the damaged, no need to return it, since it was the last on stock.

I don't mean to blame HLJ, they have really good support. It is the damn toy companies and their weird policies for overseas buyers.

Well, I guess, you can probably try and resend it to them and do a cycle until your copy will not break. That's why it's good to have that 10-day window to open and inspect anything that's coming in from HLJ. And yeah, they do really have good support so I really don't mind the extra I pay for their item compared to other stores. I mean, I'm already spending lots of money on these collectibles so I have to make sure it's really worth it down the line.

No offense meant @Blue Meanie. I appreciate your post and can relate on all the materials and hardwares and specs that you mentioned since I'm in the graphic production design line of work. I just like this specific part of your post.

Meh. It felt like the 'Mirage' scheme were forced to apply on a Draken. 

They should've include a small Mikumo figure that can be mounted on the VF-31S for this 'iconic' scene.  

And one more VF-31 variant to go. Can't wait for Saburo to reshoot this 'Sway, Slide and Pose' scene. C'mon Bandai -- Pronto!

This is how I approach this 'Premium Finish' SDF-1 release. I didn't get a chance of getting it when Yamato released it since I'm already late joining the Yamato bandwagon. And couldn't afford later the price it's going for aftermarket used which is around $650-800. Remember this is the regular Yamato release. Not the kit nor the 1/2000 version. And now Arcadia decided to re-release it and offer a PF version. So I'm thinking it's like saving some money before until I can afford to buy a Yamato one when someone decided to sell it again but instead I'm paying now the same amount (probably less) for a Premium Finish one.

And one other thing, I'm really not good on painting kits so I rather have Arcadia do it. And seeing how small those parts or details are that was painted in flourescent paint, I rather get it in this format than wait until I get better which is in 10 years time(?) and do a custom one. By then, I'm already too old and have shaky hands.

I just realized that last year's Goodbye Christopher Robin is not made by Disney.

Looking forward also on this one.

My only concern with this PF release is that hope it will not scratch any layers of topcoats while transforming it. Don't want to chip the coat and the paint.

I scored a loose one from Jungle  for like 9000 yen when I was in Japan last November. It only had one horn and it was broken lol.

So far Just some sanding and some miliput and some test spots for the visor which will be done with Molotow Chrome followed by some Tamiya Clear Blue.

After I get the look I like I'll clean up the bottom half of the head to the original plastic, repaint the gunmetal / silver exhaust looking thingies on the sides of the chin and then decide on a good color to paint the top of the head. Prolly will just match the grey and/or put some semi-gloss black on there to cover up that milliput

Won't need to worry about redoing the visor as I can just mask the parts of the visor I want and everything else will be sprayed over hehehe.

I hope after it's done it looks like the head was a steady progression from the 25F to the 31F , cuz the stock design just screams 31Fail

That looks cool for a 31A Commander Type.

I'm not complaining. I'm lovin' it from the get-go.

As for the missile question, I believe it is included as per description in the Tamashii product page. And for sure, a Mikumo figure comes with it too even if it's not displayed with the Valk. So don't worry too much.

I think it will come with the "Helmet Head" and a Helmet to hold...or the hair will be removable like Minmay's....this pic was from a few posts ago...

Hey JVM. Thanks for posting those Hikaru drawings. I guess, the KC one have a taller hair. If they lower the size down, here's more of the Fever design. I also wish they will include another helmet for surface use or have an extra part that can swap both space and surface use.

And I agree with technoblue, they should add another joints so that he can be posed sitting down.
