They don't roll with Bandai type money?

But yeah....all those arguments that claimed Yamato couldn't do it because it was never animated on-screen were pure speculation....not even of the rational kind!

Then I really feel bad about YamArcadia for not trying to do it beforehand. And also, because the other forms was really never got animated properly, Bandai manages to get some rights on producing it on their HMR. Literally, re-engineered what Yamato did on small scale and slap the right color and markings what fans wanted. Instant hit.

  2. When you guys says the shoulder should have articulation, meaning the whole 'housing' should rotate somehow? YamArcadia has shoulder articulation and its movement is limited due to the 'housing'. And even though there will be shoulder articulation, I think its range of movement is still going to be limited due to the wings folded on the side, plus the folding flap on the rear portion of the shoulder. Unless ofcourse, they make the whole 'housing' rotates.

  3. Ok. Out of curiosity. Now Bandai somehow acquired a 'right' to have the FB2012 scheme in 1/100 scale. What's stopped Arcadia from doing it prior on their 1/60 scale?

And since this is the HMR thread, I'll just end my post with -- that VF-4 looks super gorgeous. ;)

Man, didn't take long for the color whining to start!...

Hahaha! And I thought you're already used on us whining for something all the time. After all, this is MacrossWorld.

I understand... the 31A is probably a bit of an extreme example, and I appreciate that we probably won't know the real answer, but I do wonder how many valks are made in a typical Bandai DX run?  My guess is at least 5,000, maybe closer to 10,000 even (eg the latest YF-19 FSP has pretty good availability even after release), but it remains a curious mystery to all of us.

    Edited for yah. ;)

The price point for the HCMs is why I have stayed away from the line apart from the VF-2SS, which is one of my favorite designs that I've wanted a toy of for many years.

If  they were about US$70 each, I'd consider collecting them.

I have to agree. At this scale, I really can't justify the price.  But I'll let this one slip. After all, it's the VF-4 FB2012.

Erm......... does the chest part in battroid look larger than usual from the pics?:)

Yeah. Kinda looks like it, huh? Or probably it's just an angle thing?

    Ordering 3x for sure.

Yes it's another valkyrie, but not a VF-1, it's the damn VF-4, who can complain about that? Yeah I'd love to see more destroids and Zen units, but this is the damn VF-4! I'm in for three.

I'm just thinking of two. Now I'm getting competitive. 3 then.

Emotional roller coaster - first I see the VF-4 fighter in FB 2012 colour scheme complete with skull leader insignia on the tailfins etc.  My heart sank though when I saw those chocolate joint colours in Gerwalk and Battroid...

Same here. Those chocolate colors really threw me off last night. But that's not something to stop us from getting three, right? Here's hoping that it's easy to disassemble to paint them afterwards.

I've never been able to afford a VF-4 toy. I'd prefer the VF-4G but anything will do! I'll aim to get this to finally have one.

Not been following HMR releases like the DX, will this go through normal sites like HLJ and so forth?

If it's a general release, then yes, HLJ and the rest will have it. Just based on the magazine scan, I don't see any TWE logo nor words that says one.

Everything about this screams Yamato’s engineering, but in a better and smaller package! I can’t wait for the repaints!

Good job Bandai, you’ve done well.

Bandai is the new Apple for toys. ^_^

    When do pre-orders begin?

Probably in a week or two. Or probably during or after the Tamashii event. ;)

Btw, I did tried to adjust the color on the scan just to estimate the overall look for both pages. And yes, there's still too much Chocolate. ^_^

Do we how many copies of these do they make in a typical run for a DX TWE release?  5000?  10000?  I am just curious about how many 31A's are in "circulation" out in the open.

Nobody can really say how many are out there. We can probably get the tally just from this forum. But I'm sure our numbers here are probably less than what? 50? 100?

We couldn't even get an actual reason from Bandai as to why the production is less, more so getting the numbers of the actual production.

  8. Finished watching Lupin III Part 5 series. Didn't like some revelations on Lupin but it did end well. Hoping for a Part 6.

Captain Tsubasa (2018) on the other hand entered the next chapter (High School), which I basically missed out when I was still in Japan back in the mid 80's. It's just so nice to relive and watch one of my all-time favorite animes (re-animated) again.

  9. Wow! Lots of chocolate joint colors. Now it kind of threw me off.

    Compared to ‘colored’ lineart:

Yowza! Brown feet on VF-4? FTW!

    I’m assuming a November PO. I’m thinking of 2 or 3. ^_^

Seeing the Hot Toys re-issue of the Mark 44 Hulbuster with Deluxe Parts, how I wish Bandai would have gone all the way and released a renewal deluxe Figuarts x Chogokin Mark 44 that could fit a Figuarts Mark 43 inside, or at least even an opening chest gimmick that had a Mark 44 bust inside.

That ain't going to happen I suppose. Sigh.

No. And I don’t want to re-buy another one. ^_^

If we're lucky, Bandai has the VF-31A Arad Custom down the pipeline somewhere, along with the 31A Armored Parts from the Movie. I'd be up for the pre-order madness for that. :)

Preorder madness for VF-31A Arad’s and Armored Parts? Why, you don’t want to have it released thru exclusive TWE for easy purchase again?

We just need to wait for a year or so. ^_^

@no3Ljm Hey let me know where this stuff goes.

Sentinel 4inch-nel Megaman 30th Anniversary Edition.

Ouch. I'm no Mod. Why me?

Kidding aside, I'm not sure actually. The Sentinel threads I know are:

    Riobots by Sentinel

Sentinel Thread. I think this is a good place to post that since the first post Mommar did is about Mega Man.

The Sentinel/Riobot/Good Smile Company. Which only has one post by Slaginpit since 2015.

I really wish Sony would just add an emulation layer for running PS Vita games on the PS4.  I'm guessing they just don't see the money in it, which is a shame.

It's not actually the money. They can't just market it outside Japan. Shame on HG is what I'm going to say.

I noticed a detail on the YF-19 that is missing from the DX Chogokin release...

No "YF-19" tampa print below the cockpit.

Atleast, they gave us a big N.E.T.F.C. and U.N.Spacy on the wings which are basically super absent in the anime. ^_^

Irrelevant.  All that OCP left of Alex Murphy was a head and partial torso ("not even a corpse," as Dr. Faxx describes):

Oh yeah. Forgot that one. But size-wise, atleast it's more believable than skin tight looking armors on Iron Man. ^_^

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but is there any news about any PS4 generation Macross games?  Wasn't sure what thread to best add this question on.  I've been wanting to play Macross 30, and for the first time since I was a kid have a current gen gaming console, but there hasn't been any Macross games published for the PS4, much less any other platform.  Sadly, M30 also isn't one of the titles currently supported as a Playstation Now title for the PS4.

I'm also waiting for some Macross action for PS4 as well. But I don't think there is one available currently nor 'in-production'. It's kind of weird that they didn't upgrade the PS Vita Macross Scramble game for PS4 though.

  18. Obvioulsy, we need a third leg to sustain the weight. I mean, just by looking at that picture, they already put a 'support' stand behind it. And they will probably include those clamp looking stands to support the weight on the wing parts. They've included those on VF-19/Adv's Boosters and the Sv-262's Lil Drakens which IMHO looks lighter compared to the VF-31's 'Silpheed' wing parts.
