Lots of production errors on that episode. Roy throw away the gunpod so he can mount the fuselage underneath. But during the chase with Regults, the VF-1S in fighter mode still has the gunpod underneath. Anyways, looks like you need two VF-1D to re-enact this scene.

@ScrambledValkyrie did mention ‘mode’ in Fighter mode. So I guess, Gerwalk and disconnected fuselage doesn’t count.

I’m just guessing here. Can you turn the head sideways first, extend the hinge more, and then turn the head back facing front again? Maybe that can help.

Same here. That area is so tight even I'm having trouble separating the chest area from the fuselage. To the point that I'm not sure how to hold it properly.

Sorry to hear about that. I think that's the part that Bandai warned consumers about when transforming. I think the tolerance is not as strong. Starts at 4:27.

That can't be true, right? I mean, you can leave it posing in Gerwalk mode. Or add those TV Supers just like the old artwork from the 80's. Or better yet, you can have a custom Supers too. Problem solved.
