Got my ship notice for my missile set from NY. I
-
Good to know about NY, thanks guys. I'll think it over till next pay period, may just pull the trigger then on these guys then if still up. I don ;t mind waiting as long as I know one will end up my way.

2 minutes ago, HardlyNever said:
Same situation for me, regarding the missiles. Did you order more than 1 set? I think that might be what is holding them back.
No, just 1 set towards the end of the pre-order window BUT it was in the window .
-
I was going to bite the bullet and buy both the Max 1A and the VF-1S at the inflated markup on NY but I am still waiting on my missile order set to ship... is that normal for them?
PO madness with Max convinced me not to stay up for the VF-1S, but I did wake up at midnight and check my phone and I could see it was all going to crap so I stayed in bed and roiled over.
So now, I may skip buying at NY as I would be worried they are taking orders they will not be able to fulfill. Then I would have a ridiculous store credit I'm stuck spending at their store...Hoping to grab one release day from of the other usual suspects.
Congrats to those who did score one! -
7 hours ago, That one dude said:
They're hoping to open up the market once the rights come back to BW. Right now they aren't legally allowed to distribute overseas so all you get is scalpers and resales.
I have spoken with the guys Tamashii Nation who run the US distribution side of things and they have said (more than once) they would love to bring Macross stateside as they know there is a huge following here but can't because of the BW/HG stuff. When that ends, I would very much expect Macross product to start coming stateside.
-
Bandai will not sell any Macross product to a US retailer due to the licensing issues.
-
Damn, the first time in years I have not been able to score a Macross preorder. Ever, actually, now that I think about it. Very disappointed. Here's hoping I can score one release day.
-
Graham,
Is it possible to rotate the gun booms out while in Cruiser mode? Similar to the first episode of the TV show?
-
And we are now live with the review.
Graham's review of Yamato's 1:3000 scale SDF-1 Macross.
Enjoy.
Graham
Great review Graham. Looks like it's everything I had hoped it would be. Looking forward to getting mine.

Usually though most of the stuff I get from Japan or HK goes through customs. where it is scanned and thus I know it is close to being here. But so far there is no record of anything since since dispatch from Japan. I can give it a try though.
Yeah this is always the case for me. So either are stuff is sitting on the Customs tarmac or the plane went down and no one has gotten around to telling us yet. Even with the holiday's packages should be showing in Customs at the very least by now.
-
Yeah as of New Years Eve I am still waiting for my EMS package from Hong Kong (with the Macross Quarter in it.) That left their soil on December 23rd. Glad it's not just me. Hopefully next week.

Atomski got Toynami'ed
SOLVED:
Thanks. Your right it looks like I got Toynami'ed. I'll be sure to mention it in the written review. Thanks guys.

My box lists POM no less than three times. It says ABS, PVC, POM twice, then ABS, POM and then ABS, PVC with Japanese words before them probably describing what parts are made of what.
It's in the white box at the bottom of the box. Took me about 3 seconds to find.
Vostok 7
I know exactly where to look. And on my box it only list abs and pvc. Link to my photo is http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/B...tick05.jpg.html as you can see I am neither blind or stupid. Now if someone has something different please post the photo. I am now wondering if there are different boxes out there?
-
Atom said there's no indication of their being POM on the packaging, however if you look at the bottom of the box with all the materials it lists ABS, PVC and POM. So that super tough grey plastic is probably POM.
Could you post a picture of the bottom of YOUR box then? Mine doesn't list POM anywhere on the bottom. Only ABS and PVC.

The collectiondx video review got taken down... I hope because they're going to transform it with the head on. I'd rather see someone else do it so I can correct my review also instead of having to dig the toy out and do it myself . Yeah, I'm feeling lazy.
No I am not reshooting the video so you can see me transform it with the head on. Do you have any idea how long this stuff takes? lol. leaving the head on you run a high risk of scratching the helmet. I don't recommend it but if your "that guy" feel free.
The video was removed because I re uploaded it for proper HD. Which it is now. Just hit the link in the lower right of the video. New link is

Ahh so those parts are POM. Well if it is incredibly hard to have paint adhere to POM then I'll retract that suggestion, but I stand by the rest of my observations.
Everyone keeps crediting POM as a material used , however the box only lists ABS and PVC as materials used.

Your initial thoughts on the ride armor?
Like many, can't wait for your vid review.
You all should have bought it days ago.... Seriously delivers in every way. Run, don't walk and get one now!
-
For those waiting on CollectionDX's vid review of the Mospeada just want to let you know it will be a fore more days. It's a my first time using the HD camera so it's got a bit of a learning curve. I promise it will be worth the wait.
-
Hey Atomski, I'll be looking forward to seeing your review!! Youtube?
Video always shows first on Youtube, The full article with the video goes up on our main site later the same day or the next day.
-
Yeah thats an older clip, I'm sure the guys from Collection DX or some else who can use a camera without the "Blair witch effect" will post a full review shortly!!
Yes we will. Mine is in the mail as I type this and expected Friday. Soooo I should have the video review up by Sunday night latest. And yes, we will be shooting it in HD.

Thanks for the review, CollectionDX. (wrong music though)
I can tell you are not a MACROSS fans.
Quite the contrary. I am both a Macross fan and a Robotech fan. If you read the written review it puts the music choice into perspective.

That and I just thought it was funny...

I got the SV-51 (the reissue) and on my SECOND transformation to Battroid, this happened:
It's not even a joint! The bar holding the two halves of the thigh snapped and they broke apart. No idea how this happened, I put no pressure anywhere near it.
Has there been any issues like this before? Graham?
Since it's not a joint, I just superglued it together. I'm gonna leave it to dry now. Sigh.....
The exact same thing happened to mine, just got it about 2 days ago. First transformation the left side fell apart. Luckily a few dabs of carefully placed super glue and its good as new. Still annoying as all get out....

ya, I'm trying to secure a gold seiya...I dont' mind it's that price...and it is because it's plated in real gold i think. that piece is going to be awesome!
also, did anybody get the 5 pack of bronze saints? I would have definitely picked that up if they had the newer head sculpts...but now I'm not so sure about it.
Looks like Angolz.com is offering the 24k gold Seiya for preorder.
-
i have up to the Asgard arc so far, and dont mind it, though it can be a bit painful at times. Plus the sub i have is a hong kong one, so it's a bit....well, frustrating.
And yeah mention the armour. Seiya v3 was the first one i bought, and i knew nothing of the show, I just love magic armour and thought the toy looked cool. Ive since nearly finished getting every figure released. And for me the main hook as that diecast amrour; it adds such heft and weight to the figure, and really takes it up a notch in my estimation.
i did some reviews on an Aussie toy site, but they got hacked and lost everything. If it ever gets fixed Ill try n find it, should u be curious.
Sure thing. I'd love to see what you did .
