Finally managed to get one. They (not just HLJ) should consider adding a waiting list/queue feature for this kind of stuff, so we don't need to run auto scanners that hit their site every couple minutes.

What I would actually buy:
(old mold)
VT-1 - and since it is a "new" company make this change: no helmet Hikaru and Misa pilot figures.
VF-4 Flashback 2012
(new mold)
VF-0D
SDF-1 TV

wow, tht looks nasty. were yiu trying to push the hinge in a direction it is suppose to fold and collapse? looks like the hinge was wedged against the direction it suppose to go and causing the breakage. not saying you did anything wrong, but could it be possible?
It may be possible, I was transforming it without the manual open in front of me, only from memory.
-
TLDR: Be very careful with the chest hinge.
You may remember a month ago I got two box of VF-171 from NY when I ordered a single one. They wanted the extra one back but I think I convinced them that paying $100 to sent it from Canada is not worth it for them. The 1st unit has that cracked shoulder piece that is quite common. I opened the the 2nd unit a month later and it looked fine. I transformed it once and it has stayed in B mode, and today I change it's pose for a bit and found one side that hinge above was broken off. The other side quickly broke off too when I try to see if it still transform properly. I don't think I had too much force on it to cause it to break, and I had transformed the EX many times already without problem.
At least after swapping the shoulder I still got one good unit (for now). The broken one can still hold together in F mode and B mode reasonably well, while G mode needed some help from the stand adapter.
Edit: oops this was meant for the CF thread, oh well.

Just saw the Hikaru VF-1S Strike version listed:
-
Are you sure? None of my renewals have adapters that plug into the area denoted by left-most circle.
The adapter that came with the armour pack has the extra 3rd pair of plugs, plus a pair of brackets at the tail end.

Waitaminute! How do we know it's not some shenanigans like last time? Remember that, guys? Toysdaily...grrrrrr!
That said, if this is for reals then I'm down for two easy.
That post also links to Bandai's own site. It's real.

One thing to consider if you want multiple: unlike the VF-171 CF, this one has "027" number markings.
-
It don't need to be expensive if they can reuse most of the mold for the VF-19 Kai.
I hope they fix the fighter mode stand adapter this time - too insecure on the VF-19.
-
Indeed, wish there's a higher res version though.
You can count on Hobby Search providing high-res pic.

The new finished item pics also fixed the scrips on nose, arms, chest and wings. I will wait for the instruction scan from them before making final judgment.
The fast/strike back pack is still smaller and put further back then the other toys.
-
Huh? So how much of these complicated stuff are painted on?Decal/sticker sheet and water transfer decals are included.
-
It need the strike pack for me to bait. The back side is just too empty compare to the rest. Is it suppose to have any marking on the vertical ail fins?
-
Bought mine from Amiami about a month post-release with their regular discount plus a 10% bonus point promotion, so it was not very popular like the Bandai releases.
-
The super part back pack pieces are sitting one full head length lower/after than how it has been done in all other toys and models. But it should be relatively simple to fix.

Quite true.Kawamori and other creators often tweak their works. In some ways for the better and in some ways for the worse.
This view make it looks like a VF-25 to me, because of the almost continuous wing-chest-wing black strip.
May be they should have gone all the way with Macross The First design:

Can't you just tell her "it's another free sample from Yama... ar.. Bandai!" ?I actually like it that NY undeclares the value, as when my wife sees the cheaper value on the parcel, she gives me less grief
-
17000 + 2720 yen - pre-order price + registered SAL.I'm curious how much you paid for them.
All the destination name and address are hand written, no doubt they screwed up when they are going through tons of orders. Second package say "Maquette" - french for scale model so it probably meant for some one in Quebec or France.Guess they probably printed address twice by accident and lumped them together
-
No only one. They charge for two valks?
-
I ordered one, and then I received two separate boxes today. They have different tracking numbers, only one was emailed to me. Both have my name and address on them.Slightly off-topic, but has anyone ever been given the wrong package tracking number from Nippon Yasan? Or, has NY ever shipped a package to the wrong address?
I already e-mailed NY asking them what to do.
-
Same here. East coast people are totally screwed.WTF I went to sleep around 345 just to find out HLJ went up 15 mins later.
-
Not really impressed. With so many modified pieces it is a scratch build model, not a lego model.

I don't think you are suppose to rotate that joint all the way to 90 degree. On my samples they all have a clear "stop" at about 30 degree and I never pushed any further.
For my own failure, see here:
