  1. Warning, heavy post, constantly uploading images...

Hi my friends, long time no posting, this time I will share with you 6 months of my life, originally intended for a contest, but didn`t finished it on time.

Inspired by a Japanese magazine, I decided to make my own version, it cost me money and above all, so much time and effort, but it worthed, the only bad thig was my poor skills in photograph (cell phone) and the absence of a light box...I added many details, almost 300 round bolts and many styrene rods, and of course I damaged the styrene with many items.

The next top secret pictures were taken when one of the last reactive armours were set to a VF-0 valkyrie to go to battle against the anti U.N. forces, whom haven`t stopped their attacks on the last days, giving no time for repairs, we`ve been forced to use it as it came back from it`s last mission...barely a couple of hours ago, we hope to hang on until reinforcements arrive...from...only God knows where...

  2. Very nice job, I have always think that a Valkyrie must not be clean, but weathered and with battle damage (if possible).

Gerwalks are visually VERY attractive, I don´t understand why hasegawa just ignore them. Convertion parts for hasegawa kits would be very nice, making it from scratch is difficult and time consuming, I´ve done it for 1/72 Valks, I know how much work and time is required, so, congratulations!!.

  3. WoW! I love that scene too, in fact I have had the idea to make a kit like this for years, but I´ve been affraid to do it... very well done, I think the camera flash doesnt help much to appreciate the effects of the damage.

Congratulations !! Its nice to see a kit like yours, maybe I will do a kit like this in the next year.

That wire mesh, is it brass?

  4. As far as I know, everything has to do with the quantity of thinner used, the same applies on acrilyc paints, if you use fewer thinner than paint, it will result on a grainy finish.

Also, I have read that spray primers and paints are a wrong way to obtain fine and smooth finishes, in youtube you can find videos of a japanese guy that "milk" (or extract) the primer from the spray can into a bootle, then use some thinner, and then apply the mix with airbrush.

  5. You are completely right PetarB. I have heard and read comments from toy collectors saying they appreciate the detail on scale model kits, but they do not have the time, skills, patience to build kits,

And I would also support Atmospheric Booster with Pylon and a separate launch vehicle kit. Everything for hasegawa 1/48 of course.
