  1. Super impressive Cesar!!! The detail, painting and weathering are so good. I have one that is on the list to build. Rest assured I'll be visiting your pics as a reference. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you very much Joe, I´m glad you consider using my kits as reference.

    Mira nomas. K chingon!

    Me quedó chido ¿no?, jeje

Awesome Cesar! I thought you did something to the cockpit. the details and paint make it "pop!" - MT

    Thank you MT

  2. Masking and painting plate by plate? Boy, I bet that took a lot of time.

Beautiful job. I'm digging the cockpit details. Not sure if all those controls were scratch or not (I'm guessing they were), but good stuff either way. And it really, REALLY makes me want to get one of those VF stands, too. Maybe I'll throw it in with my next batch purchase...

Yes, plate by plate, it´s not that difficult, but those little details are the ones that make a model stand out. All those buttons and controls in the cockpit are 100% scratch, all made with styrene and I even used the sprues to make the smaller buttons. I don´t really like the hasegawa photo etch details, they are expensive and I think it looks better with my own controls, and so much fun to do, I hope to improve it with my next VF-1 kit.

  3. Outrageously good! Love your work!

Would love to know how you achieved the shading on the intake covers, especially. That's just beautiful and knowing how small those parts are, it's very impressively done.

Thank you very much mickyg. Yes they are small, and for those parts I paint them with dark sea grey, then I mask the plates division (one at a time) and airbrush a lighter color of the base, just one pass or two to get a smooth color transition, and then remove the masking, and go for the next plate.

  4. Hi!!

Long time since my last post. I want to share my VE-1 Elintseeker, it´s been like 2 years since I finished it, it was in my shelf an eternit - like 10 years or so- waiting to be built), It has some scratch build here and there, specially in the cockpit.

Let me know what you think guys.

  5. No yet, but there's always hope for future releases.

Fingers crossed, all Regult variants and Glaug pod are the only HMR I'm interested in buying.

  6. My old Yamato VF-4 I detailed way back in the day. I plan on revisiting this once I get my Arcadia reissue and doing a better job. Maybe I'll toss this one in the garbage bin.

    Excellent!!

Do I see preshade? Did you painted the whole aircraft? Or the Grey is the bare plastic color?

  7. And they are still available at amiami, I can't believe it! I waited for so long to order 2 more regults and p/o was closed everywhere, I hope they don't cancel pre-orders later.

Now let's wait for pre-ordering a Regult scout, this robot is macross porn to me, hehehehe.

  8. I think he has picked up most of the Moscato moulds, including Regult versions and NosG. I can't believe how quickly time has passed since following Moscato posting his weekly updates on the kits as he made them. Good times.

John Moscato just said his regult masters haven't been bought yet.

  9. Official technical data states the regult is 15m tall, in 1/72 that would be 20.8cm,and 15cm in 1/100, Bandai's height is correct according to that information.

Now, I know a regult is much taller than a battroid, wich is 12.7m tall, according to official data, however, hasegawa gives us a 17.5m tall battroid...

Then, who has the "real" dimensions of each machine?

  10. Coronadlux, where you learned to make vacuum forming machine? I prefer solid canopy over the vac formed ones, the one included with this kit is vac formed and it is awful and thin, but now that I have the canopy sculpted I can try vac forming one.

  11. Finally working on my 1/72 vf4 hobbyexpro, after many years in the shelf of doom.

It has the most ugly plastic canopy you can imagine, so I'm sculpting a new one, it's done, just need to cast it in plastic resin.

Im planning on retool my canopy in the future to make one with crystal clear resin, very high quality and clear as water, but expensive, if someone have this kit and wish a good quality clear canopy for this bird, I will need several requests/orders to justify to buy the materials needed and the time sculpting and tooling it. This is the actual progress.

  12. Ah, now I see HLJ's strategy. They want me to fill up my cart with other stuff while I wait for the Regult. ;)

True, I ended up buying a bunch of stuff while waiting that regult, it never showed up, but now I'm plenty of useful goodies and macross mechanics 30th magazine. Hlj play with us.
