  1. Are there any differences in handling between the various VFs?
  2. OMG.. yeah imagine with all those LEDs built-in the PG Valk... *drool*..
  3. If Hasegawa do the 1/48 scale, regardless of transformable or not, expect to see a mad scramble for the.... DECALS!!!
  4. Packaged with TV Fast packs! Instead of stickers, would be great if more tampo printing like that of the Macross Zeros.

Man, that sucks, how is the layman gonna get hold of a TV 'lighter shade of blue' Fast Packs, if it only comes with the VF-1J combo? The Fast Pack 'arms' are obviously different too, not just in color.

I am actually holding off a second DYRL Roy VF-1S in *hope* that there'll be the grey TV VF-1S, equipped with matching grey TV hands. And the TV version Roy pilot of course The whiter DYRL Roy VF-1S would then be decorated to a TV Hikaru VF-1S. BTW, does anyone have green Fast Packs? Was wondering if there were different green and blue colors releases, as mine are definiately blue (under sunlight).
  7. haha that's seems like a clean sweep Thanks for the replies and tips.
  8. Thanks, I took the effort to use a tripod It's a reissue Max with non-gummy pilot. I only have the 1 set of Devin's Fast Pack decals, so I'm really nervous on applying them correctly..
  9. Can anyone share their experiences with apply Johnson Future/Kleer for pre/post decal application? This sounds skeptical but using a floor wax to apply decals.. aren't there any modelling decal solutions out there that can perform better that we need to revert to a floor wax? I've been using Mr. Hobby Mark Softer and wondering if it's worthwhile to try Future, especially with regards to eliminating silver edges. Cheers!
  10. I noticed that some of you guys have been placing 1/48 'real world' ammunition to our dear 1/48 VF-1s, taken for other modelling brands such as Hasegawa, Revell etc. IIRC there was a low-vis VF1A with missile-guided mavericks. Cool!! Just wish to tip my hat to Yamato for producing this scale in line with the modelling world
  11. I just wish to say a big thank you to those who offered the advice, I went with the brasso option, being the timid type I am Had to use q-tips and toothpicks to get into the nooks and crannies. Anyway, thought I'll share some pics of my own in return. Not much of a photographer though!
  12. Just checking, it this same as WD-40? Thanks!!
  13. Hi everyone, very sorry if this question has been posted before, or lying in some FAQ somewhere. I would like to ask how can I safely remove production paint smudge (circled in red) without damaging the valk. Luckily (I think..) the underneath of the smudge is the base white but I am really nervous that if I overdo the paint removable it would damage this valk white, leaving some ugly yellow plastic or something (yeah, I'm that nervous!) Those of you who have been working on 'bleaching' the Yamato 1/48 valks for customs, any advice on how to proceed is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much for your kind help!!
  14. OK Thanks again for the helpful advice and nice pictures
  15. Thanks again, so..err.. when should we adopt "SDF-1"?
  16. Sorry to bother you, can you explain the two versions, "PROMETHEUS" & "ARMD-1" ? In the TV version, are Hikaru, Max and Hayao = PROMETHEUS? And Roy = ARMD-1? When Hikaru took over Roy's VF1S, did he continue as PROMETHEUS? Is "SDF-1" marking only used in DYRL? Thanks for any answers!
  17. Thank you! I really like your TV VF1S! Especially the Focker pilot.
  18. Sorry if this topic was discussed before, I am considering whether to 'decal' my VF1S to either TV or DYRL version. Which got me thinking: other than having 'Pilot Hikaru' and 'Pilot Roy' as the noticable difference, are there any other differences I need to consider? The Hasegawas' and Yamatos' decal maps are all DYRL. The old Imai/Arii model kits have TV Hikaru VF1S' decal maps.. but these may not be entirely accurate.. Anyone kindly point me to some creditable references, if there are any difference? Including the fast pack decal mapping. Cheers!
  19. You want to add the Angelbird to that list. Unfortunately my pilot has the same problem.
  20. I am curious whether Max was promoted to Skull Leader and the "001" designation after Roy's death as being deliberately arranged by the writers. In the battle against Myria, we have Max in the middle (flight leader) with Hayao and Hikaru seemingly as his wingmen. This is interesting as (in the TV version at least), Hikaru was team leader of Max/Hayao, and I would've thought Hikaru would "inherit" the leader role and "001" designation. So did Hikaru continue to fly the VF1A "011" and Hayao the VF1A "012" in this battle vs. Myria? Or Hikaru was already flying the VF1S by then (but with "011")? Can there by more than one VF1S at any one time? Of course when Max 'deflected', Hikaru took over the "001" designation.
  21. Devin, thanks again for the great service. I'm very lucky to purchase a few stickers before your decision, though not nearly enough for my collection. Anyway, Good Luck with the marriage and PhD. You know, I have put off purchasing the GBP armor now since I didn't buy this sticker set. Someone can tell that to Yamato!
