JBO, you got me laughing as soon as I read your post More humor in any situation is allways appreciated, at least by me that is. That said I would pay to see a live show by more than one Fire Bomber and Sheryl are my two picks for stage performers as well as song options. I agree with Bowen, a double bill would be best, but if I have to pick just one I'll go with Sheryl. There are none of her songs that get irratating if you hear them again and again, plus she's prettier than Basara!

I've been watching this show since it started, though I did manage to miss ep#2, so far I like it. My question on the last ep is, who, besides dollhouse execs, is playing dollhouse against dollhouse? My first guess would be the mysterious Alpha, opinions?

That could be, but I'd like to know who the director of the FBI is. It can't be Mr I have the hots for agent Walker, he is first off too young and doesn't seem to be the type to be in charge of the whole show. Reason that I wonder is that the president would be asking the director to keep her updated, not some office chief.

Until you have watched the whole series your opinion doesn't carry much weight, and I along with most everyone else think it was quite well done.

Nice rework on the 4. I think its an improvement.

So far I like what they have come up with for this season, but they useualy don't screw things up until they are a ways in. Here's hoping they don't make a mess of the storyline this time.

Anyone else got a good VF-17 paint scheme out there? I've seen a lot of different designs on other VF's, but not much on the 17.

I think this is a very good thing. I have always thought that the listed size of the VF11 was a little on the small size given that it was supposed to be able to fill most roles when it was created and had to carry all those fast packs to do so.

I don't own a 360, but I know someone that does and I can't wait for this one to come out. You may be right there, and it will make the missile shots a bit more realistic too. On the Ace difficulty levels if your plane takes a missile hit your done anyway so a one hit kill makes sence.

The movie was pretty good as an action flick. Some of the stunts were over the top, and a few of the characters took a bit too much damage and kept going, but it was a fun movie.

Interesting. I am looking at work so I have limited time to look at your info, but I will look again when I get time from home to do so. This system looks like in runs with d10's is that the main die involved in the system? I have played any number of role playing games, but have only run across a very few that are based off d10's. The info looks good, and I will let you know what I think about the rest when I have a chance to read through it all.

Just out of curiosity, why are we reading comments about Mac 7 characters and what not in this thread? I for one come to look at posts here looking for new developements on the new Macross show, not to listen to another debate about Mac 7. Has anyone found any updated pics or sketches of Valks or characters for Macross 25 that have not as yet been posted here? The rough sketches that I have seen so far, have been just that, rather rough. They leave out a lot of detail that leaves room for a great deal of changes in the designs before the show is released. To put it simply, I want more pics, if anyone can find any that is.

You remember correctly sir, they did in fact wonder why the micronians would change the configuration of the ship. Maybe that was added because someone in on the writing thought it was a silly idea to have the Macross transform.

In Mac+ Isamu and Guld were test pilots that were directly competeing with each other. No real combat was ever expected to take place in project super nova. None did, other than the training "accident", until Isamu stole the YF19 and took it to earth, and that was a rather short show in terms of episodes. I think this show will be a bit longer than Plus, and will have a broader scope than a competition between two rivals. Also to address the "Top Gun" comment, that movie while not well done, was about already trained pilots who were going through advanced air combat training not rank beginers starting on their initial training program. I did not mean that no combat at all would take place at an academy, but it would be against drones or against other trainees or instructors useing painballs. How long would it take for that being the only combat to lose it's appeal? I think eventually the characters would have to graduate so we could see what these new mecha can really do in a serious fight.

I think it is much to early to set our opinions on what the mecha and character designs are going to look like in stone. There is still a lot of development to come and from the early sketches this is pretty obvious. I look forward to a new show coming out finally, and hope to see more pics and sketches of the designs as they develope before I form an opinion of them. As for the story line about an academy or some such thing, I hope the entire series is not centered around a group of half trained wannabes. The characters would need to develope and graduate from training in order to step into the forefront of a good battle senario, and what is Macross without some sort of conflict envolving the mecha? There is going to be combat of some kind, and I would expect that newbies would not be sent to the front lines unless the fully trained pilots had all already been killed in action. Sure there may be a rising star or two at the academy, but if you throw a kid in the deep end too soon too many times they are going to start sinking sooner or later without skilled help.

That is true but as you said that was in bombers. If Duke Togo is right these will be in fighters, and we already had that in M7.

I would agree with you on that one. I think the whole thing with flower girl is to have this devoted fan trying to give flowers to Basara and having him be completely oblivious to what she was trying to do for the whole series.

I was just curious if anyone else watched this show that first aired on ABC this past wendsday. The show is taking over the time slot for Lost, at least for the moment anyway. I watched the pilot and found it to be rather interesting. Anyone else see it and have an opinion on it. I am adding a link to a site with some info on the show. Let me know what you all think. Personally, I didn't think this last season was very good in general, and the finale didn't change my opinion. Papa Bauer better be well dead, because I didn't like the story line that brought in Jack's family as bad guys anyway. His big plan didn't make a great deal of sense, and I think it cheapened the whole secret organization thing they had going last season with these guys in a board room telling the evil president Charles Logan what to do. If they had kept these people in the background secretly pulling the strings of those directly involved in the attacks, I think they could have kept a very nice story line going. At the end of a second season of these guys opperating behind the scenes, they could have had Jack pick up on a clue that would point to someone else calling the shots. I was very dissapointed when they brought the guy on the phone with Logan out in the open so quickly, and then we find out that he is Jack's brother! Didn't like that at all, and I also think that it happened to fast and that the scope of the plan for the Bauer clan was too narrow. The sceming guys in the board room should have been bigger than that! I agree, I didn't like that either.

Well said Mr March. We can all talk about what we want, but we are just going to have to wait until some details are released. With out that all we are doing is speculating on it with no info.

unless I am misremembering, papa Bauer didn't sell the nukes to the russians. They belonged to the russians in the first place, he arrainged to bring them into the US. I like the whole conspiracy angle about the hidden people pulling the strings like they showed us with Logan, but I hate the involvement of Jack's family in it. I think it would be better if these people didn't have a "conection" to Jack at all. That adds more to the show and doesn't make it look like Jack is an oddball in his own family for being a good guy. The chinese agent showed himself to be a complete idiot by turning over the component to papa Bauer before he had given Bauer what he wanted so the job would get done. Papa Bauer does not have a very trustworthy record, so why would a foreign "intelligence" opperative trust him with something that important to his country without a Guarantee that he would be able to maintain control. Aren't intelligence opperatives supposed to be at least a little bit intelligent? This guy doesn't appear to be all that bright at all. My reason for wanting all the current season bad guys dead is because in general, I don't think they have been good bad guys. Papa Bauer seems to be obsessed with having an heir to his company, but he killed one and alienated the other two in Jack and the kid. Quite obviously Jack would never run the thing, so he would have to use the kid. The kid is going to take a good bit of attitude adjusting before he is going to want to do anything to help out his evil granddad, and that is going to take time and then there is no real guarentee that it would work. He needed a better plan.

You are correct sir. This season I think, has had some of the worst plot line stories I have seen in this series so far. I've complained about some of them before in this thread so I will not rehash it again. I hope if they are going to give a clue for next season at the end of this one, that it has nothing to do with the current plot line because I think it's rather stupid. The sooner they let it die out the better, prefferably with all current evil doers well dead!
