  1. lol, those are the most asked-for part next to the infamous "BP-08" part. You'll need recasts if you want these, they're hard to find without buying your own TV valk.
  2. The way things are turning out, that new YF-19 sculpt will be nothing more than Vaporware. And the "rumor" of 1/48 versions of Mac Plus and Mac Zero valkyries wasn't even a rumor. It was pure fan speculation/fantasy. Yamato has said NOTHING to the effect of even hinting at larger versions (people are having a hard time accepting this, and I don't understand why... if they don't, THEY DON'T.)
  3. Lock On is one giant headache. It goes into a servere level of realism (if that's what you want, cool). It simulates different flying characteristics of different aircraft, and from what I've been told, it takes around an hour of training (at least) to fly any one of the aircraft on a mission and expect to survive. It also seems to have technical problems on all but the most uber computer systems. Unless you back the resolution and effects way off, it will stutter.
  4. In "Whiskey Corridor", if you just stay away from the east as long as you can, you won't have to worry too much about the Stealths (I don't have a problem with them.... does everyone else? I had more problems out of the Tornado pilots) By the time you're through bombing targets in the west (watch out out for the ace) and north, you'll be nearly out of time and won't have to worry about the east section too much. Yeah, the last few missions get pretty fierce. You start flying against F-22s, S-37s, F-15ACTIVs, and plenty of "Yellow Squadron" (SU-37) members. Intense dogfighting. Unfortunately, there are one or two ground targets you have to watch for in pretty much all the missions.
  5. lol, don't suppose you have it, do you? BTW, thanks... I'm off to download a kickass soundtrack. I loved it when the pilots broke out into song after they blew up the Aegis Fleet (I think it's supposed to be their national anthem)
  6. I used the SU-37 for every mission once it was available, and I wasn't dissapointed. Missiles functioned just fine for ground attacks, and I could turn & burn against the yellows when they showed up to play. I DID use the S-37(SU-47) for the "Megalith" mission, I wanted as good maneuverability at as slow a speed as possible. The first time I did the Stonehenge mission, I nailed Yellow 4 as I went head to head with her (probably on the scope for 20-30 seconds). I was already on my RTB vector when the cutscreen came on...I just lit the burners and played chicken with the first fighter my computer tagged up on. She came straight at me and ate two of my missiles for her trouble. OWN3D. ......... NEVER after that was it that easy (never been difficult though) 2 questions... was "Air Combat" a part of this series? I've often seen them listed together. I have this PS game and it behaves very similarly to the Ace Combat series (in fact, it's really no different. The paint jobs on the fighters is pretty fruity though) also, is there a good place (BESIDES KAZAA or EBAY) do download the soundtrack? I'm having difficulty locating it for sale anywhere besides Ebay.
  7. ahhhh, got nothin' but love for da Queensryche Classic rock, and that's a fact!

Welcome! Please leave your wallet with the Yamato representitive in the corner, we promise to return it to you in a refurbished, if not slightly lighter state when you leave Cool bunch of people here, welcome to the club!
  9. wow, that thing is ENORMOUS.... Can't wait to see what the YF-19 turns out like. I'm still interested!
  10. No, Farbanti was the enemy's capital city... the one I'm thinking of is the nighttime/early morning hour mission... the city's name is "san..." something or the other. I just can't remember it. It's one or two missions after the attack on Stonehenge I think.
  11. The only thing I don't like about the replay mode is the fadeaway overhead shot they use sometimes... that's the only mode that looks truely "fake" to me. Nothing like being on one side of a map and being told to intercept a target clear on the other side *sigh... do a half-loop, select "zone 5" and thunder across the sky* I would love it if they implement sonic booms in AC5.... get into a high speed persuit and watch the boom rings all over the sky. People really dog on the wingmates in AC4, but I can recall a few times I've actually seen them shoot down an enemy plane. They're programmed to not attack "mission-specific" targets, but they'll go after any air support. The wartime broadcasting that happens while you're liberating that city is pretty cool too (..."is that fighter with the ribbon marking up there?..." "... It's still dark, but we can hear the fighters that shot down those bombers over us now....") or other missions ("Is that Mobius 1 above us??") and so on.... makes ya feel important. I thought the story was pretty gimpy at first.. in the american version the guy talks in a pretty monotone voice. It grew on me later though.
  12. I didn't make your list either I'm putting the finishing touches on my 1/4000 scale Yellow Submarine SDF-01 Storm Attacker model (as soon as I glue the torso pieces together, I'll be finished)
  13. Ok.... something here bothers me. I don't understand how people can have such a difficult time accepting floating rocks when they can accept a 3/4 mile tall hologram hypnotizing an entire city. Sharon Apple did equally fantastic things with just as little explination (ok, I can accept a Hologram program around the Macross itself, even if only installed for the concert... but a FREE ROAMING hologram? All across the city? Creating holograms out of simple glass? Capable of projecting itself INSIDE the cockpit of a fighter where no projector exists?) Get real people.... despite it's technical roots, Macross is all about the fantastic. One of it's primary story hooks (one of the few things I agree with Keith on) is that it's about the power of music... and the energy that comes from within during said music. Pure speculation on my part, BUT: Sharon was able to manipulate simple coaxial wires to suspend and strangle Myung Sara used latent mystic energy (I speculate to be anima spiritia) to levitate the rocks. Both are equally impossible in the real world (at least as the average person defines it... one or both may exist in theory or whatever...) Yet somehow people have no problem with Sharon Apple, or her part in Macross plus. ............. I fail to see the real difference.
  14. Beavis: "AHHHHH! IT SUCKS!!!!! *cue dooming music*.... aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
  15. The game is highly enjoyable and now cheap! (since I have "connections" inside hastings, a friend of mine that worked there was able to pick up a "used" copy for me for less than $10). As I said before, my only regret is that it wasn't longer. The fighters are well detailed, sound effects are pretty decent (although, there is no distinction between different kinds of guns... as was pointed out earlier). If you're looking for a game to burn up the sky whilst annihalating anything in your path, this is your game. If you want so many different controls it isn't even funny, go find a sim. Directional control, weapons control, throttle, targeting control... that's all you get (and for this game it's all you need). LOL, I remember the first time you encounter AA fire from "Stonehenge"... gotta stay below 2000 feet and burn through this canyon with flankers on your tail on the way home... the first time I played it it freaked me out. It rocks!
  16. Hey David, I don't recall there being an F-14D in AC4... I only had an A model... am I missing something? AC4 kicked a serious amount of ass... my only complaint is that it was short! I always loved watching the replay mode. Wow, the screenshots for AC5 look absolutely amazing... there's even a picture of an S-3 viking! Looks like this, and Gran Turismo 4 are on my definate buy list this year....
  17. I'd just have to whip your ass with a hawk if you were
  18. If I had advance knowledge of his visit, I would've made an attempt to be on hand to speak with him (he spoke at my old elementary school) about it.
  19. I have forgotten the face of my father.... I have not even read "Wolves of Calla" yet... I cry your pardon, Gunslinger.
  20. See, I think he should just have some form of advanced bitmap IP blocking, so that he can block his scans from being downloaded by unappreciative whiners like you. Ever once think about thanking Nanashi for letting you even glimpse at rare scans for free that I'm sure he's paid good money to obtain? And how about reading text that he has either spent money on to have translated, or time to translate himself. Seriously. What's your problem with any form of protection? What would you like to do with these scans if he didn't protect them? I can look at them just fine, and put a bookmark on them so I always know where to look. Do you want to put them on your own website? Do you want to make RPG stats for them or something? Maybe you want to turn them into a Robotech creation? Please, tell us why Nanashi should remove any sort of protection. Nanashi, thanks for your tireless efforts to show the fan community all this wonderful Macross stuff. Slow down, Turbo..... difficulty in viewing doesn't constitute an attempt to pirate someone elses work (and for the record, downloading images for personal use is perfectly legal, so long as one does not post it and claim it for their own work), I reccomend you THINK about what you're saying before you type it out next time. We've been through this once already with another member a short while back. I'd hate to see another thread develop along those lines. Have a nice day.
  21. Wow, that's some impressive math! Some of you guys need to get out more often, you make me sick .. and I thought I was big and bad with my 6 Yammies....
  22. I need a cockpit seat for a project I am doing.. I suppose this would necessitate aquiring the entire cockpit assembly, do any of you guys have one available? (Trying to make a Battroid cockpit diorama) I also need the spare clamp part that comes with the super/strike armor, again, if one is available.
  23. I saw in the paper where a pilot of the VF-103 Jolly Rogers came to my area public schools and gave a talk about being a pilot to all of the elementary schools. Apparently he is from the area and has two neices that go to school here. There was a picture in the paper of the pilot with his neices and their classmates (patch was in full display of course). I thought it was cool because I never would've thought someone from the famed Jolly Rogers (ok ok, I have to call it "Skull Squadron") would have anything to do with my hometown. Although, the paper made a mistake and said he flew an F-14D, when the VF-103 flies F-14Bs.
  24. Amen. There is a system with some staying power (the only other console to meet that in my eyes was the Neo Geo). I had two (one regular and one modchipped). I sold my regular one when I bought my PS2.
  25. ahh, never handled one of the reissues and I assumed since they came out after the Hikaru 1S that they'd feature the updated pilot. I altered my original post to reflect the changes. It's strange, it seems like with almost every new release you're getting a different Valkyrie (even if the changes are minimal)
