Would you buy HG versions of DYRL and Macross 7?
Aurel Tristen replied to Myriad's topic in Movies and TV Series
I only buy original Japanese imports of the official genuine product from which Big West, Studio Nue, and Bandai Visual profit. That is the best way and only good way the original and proper owners of Macross profit. Harmony Gold doesn't own crap. I hope they are brought court on violations of international copyright infringement. If they release anything I highly recommend that people stick with legitimate Japanese products to support Kawamori-san and others so that we can enjoy future Macross projects. -
of course its official that is not a FAST Pack, it GERWALK equipment.

Glad to inform you. I just added that. Once I update the site again I will add it to the main page menu. But know that there are many things in the works that can not be accessed from the main page until they are ready.

Don't think those are the missile magazine missiles they appear to be missile pods judging by the single row of missiles boxed in by the side flat surfaces. For information on the missile magazine missiles see: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat..._armed_sys.html However, note that these are not an official armament of the VF-1, they were a attempted correction to an animation mistake which goes against the script/storyboard of the Blind Game episode.
-
Identified only as "missile pod" by Shoji Kawamori (Studio Nue), while unofficially MAT (Masahiro Chiba, et. al.) designated this as GMPS-1 See: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...iles/gmps1.html for more information.

You are referring to a bulbous bow and bow divergence. CVN-76 had its bow redesigned and CVN21 (CVN-78) will be built with one.

*bows down with respect* Thank you Nanashi for correcting my ignorance. There is very little information available here in the US about Macross 2, except from the Palladium RPG books. *bows down again with respect* Thank you for providing such an informative website, the information there is far better than anything have seen prior to it. Again I stand corrected. The UN Spacy standard battleship looks quite impressive. LOL that's not necessary.... I just want people to know the truth.
-
Just a few corrections.... Palladium and other Macross RPGers have really messed up stuff on Macross II "... the UN Spacy Zentraedi looking frigate. If it is the UN Spacy frigate from Macross 2 (the one that is Zentraedi like, not the Northhampton type from M7), then this craft is much larger than the Palladium stats also." That's not a frigate or a corvette etc.... its the U. N. Spacy's Standard Battleship (Macross II) See: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...battleship.html Also: "Bolognese Stealth Frigate" is correct while Northhampton is not(Macross 7).

It has not been identified. I don't think its an ARMD Space Carrier There is no such thing as a "Rindadow gundestroyer/monitor". I think you must mean the Zjentohlauedy medium-scale gun destroyer. That ship wasn't in the DYRL ship size chart, yet is seen in the movie. I took care to put together this updated size chart for Zjentohlauedy ships. See: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...uedy-sizes.html

Bandai Entertainment Bible #51 does state that the gigantic-sized space battleship Macross Cannons are made up of Nupetiet-Vergnitzs Zjentohlauedy battleships (each which are 4000m in length) so that would make the Macross Cannons about 6000+ meter in length. Also you can see a size comparison of the Zjentohlauedy picket ship in front the bow of one of the Macross Cannon in the screen capture I took below:

It's still a VA-3C..... Actually its a VA-3C Custom which is different than a VA-3C. See http://manuals.macrossmecha.info/va3.pdf for information on the Invader.
-
He probably means VAB-6. http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/index.html There is no such thing as a 'VAB-6', there is a 'VB-6' and 'VAB-2'.
-
The VF-19P is based on the VF-19 Custom. The Patrol version of the Excalibur appears to have a clear dome visor and possibly a second sensor assembly infront of the main optical sensor unit. The "face" is too well defined, with curves and edges that look much different than what can be seen through the out clear dome-shaped visor which Basara appears to slide up.

Which Fast Pack is the most powerful?
Aurel Tristen replied to REMINATOR's topic in Movies and TV Series
That's right. The text by MAT, altought unofficial does state that the RÖ-2A high-powered double-action beam cannon, then called HBCP-2 (High-powered beam cannon pod-two) by them was an x-ray laser cannon. The company Mauler (in Macross, Mauser in real life), is a famous German gun manufacturer. An interesting tidbit: if you do a search for RÖV, you will references to "Röntgenverordnung" - Röentgen ordinance (regulation) with RÖV, it was Röntgen, a German scientist who discovered x-rays. The Mauler RÖV-20 laser/beam gun ordnance would also seem to be an x-ray type laser weapon, like the RÖ-2A. I doubt its just a coincidence-perhaps a play on words. -

Aurel Tristen replied to REMINATOR's topic in Movies and TV Series
Actually, if the RO-X2A was a particle beam cannon-more than likely that would be stated as other Macross mecha which have particle beam weapons and their spec data states so (Tomahawk Destroid, Armored GERWALK development, Stampede Valkyre etc.). Though unofficial, MAT (Chiba, et. al.) has specified that the Strike Valkyrie's beam cannon uses heavy x-rays. -

Which Fast Pack is the most powerful?
Aurel Tristen replied to REMINATOR's topic in Movies and TV Series
Maybe not going for sheer number of missiles... but rather their type and capibility.... don't for get this VF-1 option: Micro Missile Launcher System http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat/vari/mmls.html if you added four UUM-7 launcher pods along with the NP-AR-01 arm part launchers, that would be.... a total of 122 missiles I won't get into the unofficial weapon loadouts hehe.... ^^;; -
What UN Spacy ships are these?
Aurel Tristen replied to Gideon Krieg's topic in Movies and TV Series
Perhaps its a "U.N. Spacy new design Escort/Destroyer for Megaroad Fleet..... -
What UN Spacy ships are these?
Aurel Tristen replied to Gideon Krieg's topic in Movies and TV Series
Its not a Meltohlauendy picket... or anything other known design. The design is unknown. Is not green... or brown.... its not red, blue or purple so its gotta be a new U.N. Spacy ship. Simple logic. ^.^ -
Very nice shosa! : )
-
Actually... in the Variable Fighters AeroReport which was compiled under the supervision of Shoji Kawamori, there is a YVF-1A mentioned. This is the first prototype of the VF-1A. in another source which has now been deemed unoffical, this craft was known as the VF-1A No. 1. So imagine that it would be more accurate to say that there is a YVF-1A and that it is the first prototype of the mass production version.
-
I have some of these for sale... if anyone is interested email or PM me.
-
This can be attributed to additional development and incorparation of Zjentohlauedy technology, Protoculture technology, OTM, improved engines lead to beam weapons on VFs becoming more of a design standard rather than augmentative option.
