So, I kinda, sorta f*cked up and completely forgot I pre-ordered this.
Anyone maybe interested in taking the Amazon poster edition off my hands the US? Let me know, otherwise I will toss it up in the for sale thread after it arrives. -
Still no Steam English announcement. Fun.

Christmas present to myself. Woo.

Sold. Thanks!

Just FYI it says it has both the movie and the ova
They confirmed on Bookface that the standard edition will only be the movie at a later date.
ETA: which I see was addressed, carry on. -

Well, I placed my order... the Crunchyroll member discount and coupon code took a neat little chunk off the top and the shipping's free.
The asking price didn't seem that outrageous to me. Then again, my standards have probably been skewed pretty badly by years and years of paying the already heft prices fans in Japan are shelling out for "limited edition" media PLUS international shipping. 😅
Did it stack and give you 30% off or just the 15?

LOL, yeah, no.
Say it again. Ffs.

I managed to get the pre-order for both the 19s on AmiAmi. They're still cool, right? Lol

Anyone know if the current version on Steam will simply update to include the English region/version when it released?
-
Pre-order up for $250 on Sideshow as well.
-
I got Michaels V25 and let me tell you, this thing is way better than a $25 toy has any right to be.

Enjoyed it. The "tribute" to Chadwick was nice.
Nitpick:
SpoilerRiri/Ironheart should have been more than the "in your face reason the Atlanteans are pissed off" only to be "moved to a subplot" plot point. The only mention of Stark being a throw away line too. I am sure they have more plans for her, but it felt forced.
-
It was mentioned quite a few pages back, but Sideshow has this (and another) up for pre-order still too.

Just bought tickets for both of these locally. So happy to see this.

Hm... which Wiki did you use? Memory Alpha is, AFAIK, more or less the go-to for Star Trek official setting materials. Memory Beta's good for the non-canon expanded universe stuff like novels, comics, etc. though it can be confusing to read since it doesn't separate the different takes on things into different articles.
I was on the Romulus page on Memory Alpha, misread(reversed) your first reply about Hobus and the sun. We're good. Thanks!

snip quote thing and stuff
I had no idea. I went to the wiki earlier, and it might've been the wrong one, but none of that was mentioned.
That is pretty trashy. -

They couldn't even make it work with the previously-established prime timeline plot that set up the failed soft reboot trilogy, and needed to retcon the cause and circumstances of Romulus's destruction (opening dozens more plot holes along the way).
What did they retcon about it?
I am out of the loop. Is it not still accepted that some Romulan tomfoolery led to the supernova? -
I got super sidetracked work, didn't mean to let that fall off. Wasn't much left to say except I am a pretty casual Trek fan, so perhaps that is why I enjoy the newer stuff, and I may have been a bit holier than I meant to be.

I really liked Picard and I'm very excited to see where they take it. Those characters mean a lot to me and it meant a lot to see some of them again. I also like Disco alot, about my only complaint with it is that I am really enjoying all the characters and I wish it spread the love out a little more. Season 2 was a bit better in that regard. Even Lower Decks, which I was immensely skeptical about, has been a really fun ride so far. In a format that's half the size of a typical Trek episode, they are giving us some pretty solid episodes.
But I'm the Trek fan who has been able to find things to enjoy in basically every Trek show and film.
Agreed, I really enjoyed them spreading out the character building a little more in S2.
I hope with S3 seemingly being the crew spread out throughout the galaxy or maybe even time, we see more character central episodes. They've added a lot of depth to every character they focused on and it was nice. -

Pretty much how I feel about being a fan of anything these days. It feels even more bile filled than in years passed. I've found my enjoyment of these things is magnified greatly if I don't engage in discourse about it. Which, ultimately, is pretty sad, since I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with people.
I stopped reading the Star Wars thread here for that exact reason too. I don't even necessarily disagree with some or maybe even most of it, but don't people ever get tired of shitting on the things they supposedly like?
I went into Picard and Disco cold. Voyager was the last show I watched when it was on TV, and have obviously watched the JJ movies. I enjoyed the hell out of Picard, and dare say I think it was nearly flawless. And Disco, I drank that show up and can't wait for the next season.

I saw this thread and was like "ooh, I just watched and enjoyed that show, let's go see what...oh, nope, better avoid this thread too."
FFS.

HLJ made me verify paypal again and I lost it to order stop. Yay.

Amimi popped back up, then took me to their "sorry it's gone" page. Reeee. lol

Steam was updated to have the English version back in December. Have to change language options by right clicking the game in Steam > Properties > Change Language to English.
Didn't see it posted here, found it randomly after sighing at the game for the 100th time and checking to see if there was an update. Glad I didn't have to buy it again.
Now to be pissed at 1080 only. Lol
