LOL... that was soooooo mean!

Not really....a little salt on a open wound never hurt anybody. :p

What are you talking about? I like salt on my wounds. Helps blood clot and prevents microbial growth.

  2. Its like someone said in the old forums. Tokyopop went through the proper channels to get the license... and just invited HG in to avoid trouble down the road. It was a pretty smart move if you ask me.

But then again... I don't care about M7 Trash... because like its name sake... its trash. <_<

I know that post! Why? Because I posted it! :p

If indeed TokyoPop did get the rights legally from Japan then they must have gone through BW. Somehow I have a feeling BW won't be happy with TokyoPop's decision considering that derivative rights are up in the air right now, letting this pass would be suicide on BW's part.

  3. bleh. I'm not going to hold my breath for the M7 Trash release. Somehow I find it hard to believe that HG has the original prints of M7 Trash to license out to TokyoPop for publishing... Without the original prints, well, there ain't no manga.

More things are afoot under the rather quiet times right now for Macross, methinks.

  4. I for one like it but like many have said it doesn't really get good or interesting till after the first 10 or so episodes. That right there could be the real major fault with the series. The middle and ending are well worth forcing yourself to watch the beginning episodes but not everyone will agree on that. The best way to find out would be to download a few episodes or find copy of the dvds and watch them. It also helps going into it with an open mind and not a set view of what a sequel to SDF Macross should be.

A convert, I see. The way of the Hory Froating Head will move you.

I personally hated M7 the first time I watched it for like 6 eps. Then some time later I went back and gave it a complete run through and I found to my own bewilderment that I really loved it. Special K likes to make each Macross story different and unique. I appreciate what he is trying to do because it is no easy feat. He could easily give us rehashes of the same story each time with different mecha and it would probably be a success, but he has too much respect for his art and audience. Each installment of Macross is not necessarily everyone's cup of tea. I loved M7 more than any other Macross story, most people are don't like it. Just give it a chance.
