Personally, I'd like the shield to be a darker shade of grey. (To be more in line with the color-scheme of the rest of the plane.) But that's just me.

Now, if they do stealth or black scheme on the YF-21.......

I have tried to "PS" wmcheng's YF-21 into a Stealth; here it is.

It's definitely not a black and white picture... though it looks just like one

we are in desperate need of some news here....now, this makes me think, where are the photoshop masters? anyone wants to recolor the preproduction photos with VF-19A color scheme? angel birdiess?

Maybe this Hasegawa 19 can give u an idea of how's it's gonna be.

I'm not a fan of the baby blue color scheme for the 19a... I hope yamato decides to do some other interesting schemes...

It's not a bad idea to have a stealth 19.

Does anyone knows whether Yamato will by any chance, make a VF-19A Excalibre just like the previous 1/72 edition? If yes, I would probably wait for that. If no, I would then buy this.

You did such a great job with the shadows, how'd you do it?

I just make a copy of the object layer and make it black and then play with the "free transformation". I learnt that from a nice website with plenty of PS tutorials... but I have lost the address to it... anyone has any good ones?

Actually the VF-0D's shadow is totally out of accuracy refering to its lightings, but that's the best I can do.

Yes, I bought what "they claimed" was the FX version and all it was, was the AC version.

When I called them on it, they couldn't specifically "prove" they had the actual FX edition. They seem to think that if the box art looks like the FX version, it actually is.

It's up to you if you wish to risk it.

I don't trust those clowns.

Does anyone knows usually when they will release the DVD for sale? Is it after it finished air-ing or when it's air-ing? This is the only America series that hooked me since I was born.

wow... that is a beauty my friend. Shadows are normally taken from the original pics. If the light source are good, use back the original shadows and make it blend. The best option in Photoshop is to cut out the shadows and put it in a new layer. Making sure that the oppacity is around 50-60% and then you can try multiply it to make it looks softer with the background. Sometimes you may want to blur it out a bit. But it really depends on good lighting. If you have a good shadow from the photo that you've shot, then use back the original. It will surely look natural. Hope it helps.

For you Photoshop masters with too much time on your hands, maybe the background could be changed on this pic.  This is the best pose I could manage to duplicate the spin move Roy puts on the SV-51 in Mac Zero, part 1.

Nice pose... will get my VF-0 and try to get a good lighting to fit in some of the sky photos that i took for the past few days.

Anyway, just got another family member and will put it next to my VF-0 or as a background in some airfield. Wait and see.

I always like the lightning effect in your pictures, the contrast and gamma are great. Oh ikhii btw can u teach me how to apply shadows accurately on artificial background? It seems that I can't find a decent option for that, all I do is apply the shadow very inaccurately using the "burn tool". Below is an example of a improper shadowing

Anyway, I have just brought myself a Photoshop software and just started playing with it. As I have totally no experience on Photo editing, I have started steadily playing with only the basics functions of the Photoshop. Therefore they may seems alike...

I love shots with deep contrast, something like the sun is bright and the "main object" is dark. However, due to this, my friends say those picture I made sux as they can't even see the details of the valkyrie. But that's the way I like it... maybe that's my style??? btw I know this topic is VF-0S wallpaper, but I just can't stop myself for uploading the oooold VF-1 here to share with u all.

Lastly, sorry for my English Hope u all like the pictures.

Of cource, if  you have some great work yourself, do upload and share, i would love to see some other ideas. cheers.

Thanks ikhii for your fantastic wallpapers! I have been visiting this thread regularly and have waited for more to come. They are really amazing works! I have been inspired by u and started taking pictures of my VF-0S and I wish to share them with all Macross fans here

I can't fix my gun pod on the arm! The fixing mechanism [the small hole on the rifle grip] seems to be too small for the arm fixing mechanism...... someone pls tell me what to do... =(

Dunno about exp or cheap water trap, as i only own 1 water trap so far

just buy a decent water trap for about 100-150SGD for a start to see whether ur problem is solve.

Anyway wats ur problem at the first place???

Ur paint work too rough, foggy flat coat or airbrush keep clocking???

Remember one thing,  it is a hobby so the more u do the more u realise how u can do better, wat we can do is advice but u need to practice urself.

Anyway dun worry about ruin your YF 21, there are plenty around in SG, u can try Sunshine Plaza, Parklane shopping mall and Hobby Point.

Oh, the problem keep disturbing me is the sudden "burst"(can't find a term suitable in this case ) of water along with the paint like what Sar has mentioned.

I'm in NS now, that's why i need to be clear which Water Trap to buy as I hardly survive with my "salary"

I have searched all of Sunshine Plaza and the 2 Hobby Point shops, yet I can't find the YF-21. However I have brought a VF-22 at Sunshine Plaza With that + the unused decal of YF-21, I can make another YF-21.

Yeah - if you don't use a moisture trap and there's too much moisture in the air, then the moisture condenses and collects in the airbrush and comes out in spatters unpredictably alongside the paint. Having had it happen myself in the past, I can assure you it's bloody irritating - every time it happened to me I had to start again on the piece I was painting at the time. :/

Yeah, that's the main problem i'm facing right now. And because of that, i have "spoilt" my Hasegawa YF-21(which is very rare in Singapore ). At first, i thought this was caused by my weak knowledge on handling the Airbrush & Compressor. Then I realized it's due to the missing of water/moisute trapper.

Hmmm... okay, some more questions to clear my doubts about this problem...

Does all the Water Trapper handles the problem well? What i mean is, is it true that the more expensive one has better prevention against the problem? Or just a simple and cheap Water Trapper WILL prevent any case of moisture condenses in the airbrush from happening? Any recommendation of Water Trapper? is there, by any chances, my cheap(lousy) Compressor is part of the cause too???

If you want to achieve nice paint works u definitely need a water trapper.

Actually i have just started airbrushing not long ago. Therefore, i still have lots of doubts regarding airbrushing. i have tried searching the net for information, but all i can find are bits by bits of techniques and tips that are not complete. So i wish i can learn something from u guys here.

I'm glad that daggraa live in SG too. Erm... can u explain what's the difference when airbrushing with and without the Water Trapper? What problem does the Water Trapper prevents? How much is it? Does all the Water Trapper able to fits on any compressor, or i have to buy another compressor that a Water Trapper is able to fits on?

Good day everyone, i have been visiting MW forum everyday since nearly a year ago. however, i have just register to post in this thread

I live in Singapore, the humidity is extremely high here. Does it helps to prevent some paint problems caused by high humidity if I have my air-conditioner turned on? Or do I really need to have a Water Trapper equipped with the Compressor to solve the problems? Will I be posioned if I'm airbrushing in an air-conditioned room?
