I really like it a lot. Very nice to see Cap making figures.

How can you guys be impressed by the DYRL remaster as I was absolutely shocked when I saw how grainy it was? I have never seen anything so grainy in my life.
-
I totally dig the box otherwise but WTF's up with the grain?!?
-
Yay, my box from Amazon Japan was shipped today as well.
-
Anyone else order from Amazon Japan?
I did too. What I hear it's no problem to here at least.
-
It's almost completely un-doable on anything smaller than 1/48 if you favor your sanity... a digi-camo finish is doable, but something as complex and with such a fine grain as that is almost impossible.
Unless you make custom decals for the pattern?

That's the kind of boxset I was guessing it will be. I like it.

Actually, after looking at the Bandai Visual site -- wow. The paper extras clock in at over 800 pages with one 24-page booklet, 272 pages of what I take to be production designs (設定資料集), and the 576-page behemoth book that includes not only storyboards from the movie, but from the original series (!) and the Sega Saturn DYRL game (!) AND, it'll include a mouse pad, a puzzle and a replica of an original theatrical ticket for the film, if I'm reading the site correctly.
You serious?!? Anyone can confirm?

Looks like the cover has been updated for the 2 disc version. And so far I definately like this better.
Hmm, it said on cdjapan that it's 3 discs. Might be the book included.
Wait, so this thing actually DOES contain a 500+ page book???Based on the weight it sure looks so.
I wonder what kind of box set the final release will actually be. In any case, this is the DYRL fan's dream coming true. Minus subs though.

Item weight: 1790 g

Just make every Robotech fan turn into Macross fan and boycot HG, and soon there is no HG... One can dream always... Bastards...
I wonder what's the situation in Europe actually. Is HG a problem, dunno. Might be just that there isn't much market for Macross. DYRL is kind of available in many countries, but they tend to be bad dubs etc.

We need something like a single fact page for this thing.
Yeah I agree. It's really difficult to keep up with this thread sometimes.

There are no veritechs on this board.

Does it have english subtitles?
VFTF1
No, but hopefully we can get a fansub for it. I'm not sure is it possible to put Hurin's subs there somehow, without timing them from scratch? Well, it's not like I wouldn't remember the movie quite well already.
-
Yeah it was talked about in the epic 25th anniversary thread, but I guess it's the first time I hear anything about the contents.

Heck, the ships are reminiscient of covered wagons.
Good thinking there I must say!

I am saving my cash for the Moscato 1/72 DYRL N-Ger so can't help with this one...
-
I don't remember my SSM one having decals. I have to check that...
Answering to myself. Yep decals were there.

Just make the helmet addition for Kamjin in his Glaug and do another run.
Oh what the heck let's have a Glaug with Kamjin! Says a man who said he's not getting a Glaug...
-
the eventual Nousjadeul-Ger
Please make it DYRL, just for me ok?
A Moscato 1/72 Gnerl with pilot sounds like victoly to me.
-
Who cares I'll click it anyway!
-
thats cool, but im still waiting for the atmospheric booster to be restocked.
If you want them both I suggest you get the pylon now when you can.
1/72 Kamjin figure.

Conversion kit for what? I suggest just sculpting the whole thing.
