Well, I thought the movie was decent. Collin Ferrel or however you spell his name didn't get on my nerves. I didn't care for the soundtrack at all though. Jaime Foxx was his usual dependable self.
Not a bad way to spend a weeknight, but Heat is still my favorite movie from Mann.
By the way, I really don't think this movie will ruin the original tv show for many of us. The differences are as great as the two Battlestar Galactica shows. Completely different tone.
Totally true!!!! I couldn't agree more! I like the old show when it came out and the movie is very cool! It was time for an update and I loved how he took it seriously... no campiness! I also agree with ya on Heat. That's my fav Mann film too!!!

I am planning on buying an ATV soon and I'll need a helmet. It would kick ass to have one of these!!! I'm hoping the color scheme will either be Roy's or Isamu's.

BigF... I'm still laughing my ass off about your boss! I'm just getting back into rockets after many, many years. Hell, I don't even remember what I had when I was a kid. It was definitely fun and I look forward to pursuing it further with bigger and better rockets. Since I am considering it a casual hobby, I'll start off slow. I also plan on customizing each paint job per each rocket that I get. I saw one in the hobby shop that was a replica of the Soviet Mig that Kawamori based the YF-19 after and I may get that and give it the Macross Plus YF-19 paint job.

Wow Dude! You're all the way in England! Fields to dry there? I'm in Oregon and it's the dry season, but it's still not all that bad. I fired my rocket off in a Jr. High soccer field.

Yes they are addictive. I will be flying again on Sunday. For my next rocket I'll be completing one that I found at the hobby store that looks like a flying porta potty with Beavis and Butthead graphics. I almost bought it the 1st time because it said you could "fly the crap outta it!"

Just returned from it's maiden flight. It went about 700ft. Slight wind blew it about 100yds. south of me. It's all good. It'll take another flight next week.

I'll be sure to stay away from one. I dunno what the hell is in it now.

Thanks guys!! I appreciate the advice and kind words. Low winds tomorrow maxing out at 5 mph from the NW. Hope it goes well. And yes, that is the Estes Alpha III.

Damn guys!!! Whatta jog down memory lane! And I was just thinking of my old VHS copies of the live action Giant Robo from the 70's! I always loved that theme song and the bad guy in a black and white prison outfit, red cape, buck teeth and a peg leg!!!

That.... ROCKS!!!

This is my first model rocket since I was about 12 (I am now 35). I just bought it yesterday and I am customizing the paint job to look like Roy's VF-1S. I'll post the pics as soon as I'm done. The fins were painted black with yellow ends and skull stickers, the body white with VF markings. It's currently drying so I'll get to some pics tomorrow.
