I felt like I overpaid for the Metal Build Kampfer at P-Bandai (I did), but now that the money is in the rear-view mirror I'm just excited to get my hands on it next month.
That's how I generally feel with P Bandai, it ends up being more expensive, but it's guaranteed. For most items you can probably import from Mandarake for cheaper, which I'm starting to do with some things that aren't absolutely must have.

Boy. I will die a happy man if they release this under the MB or GFFMC line
Lol I contemplated getting the 1/35 G-system GK that was basically this... Then came back to reality regarding my modeling skills.

I was just wondering because I don’t remember that in the design. Was it added like the weird what if panels for the Sazabi?
It was popularized by a specific custom build featured in the Gundam Sentinel Model Graphix series in the magazine and eventually published in the book... I'll see if I can find a photo of it.

Probably pretty tough to beat, never heard of the place though. There may be some sales coming up soon though, but I kinda doubt the prices will get lower than that
They are legit and been around for a while, but the way they keep prices low I think is because they ship surface/sea to US warehouse first...hence the ship date of this in October 2024, usually 2-3 months later than other shops that ship by air.

In a twisted way I'm thinking it would be cool if someone made a diorama of this, complete with a figure walking on the sides of the capsized ship.Complete with scaled mobile suits standing next to it in the water trying to right the ship?

Maybe Bandai is still trying to recover overseas costs from when that container ship threw some of their stuff into the ocean during that storm?
I'm kidding.....maybe?
You'd guess they'd have some form of shipping insurance on those containers right?

That's why I asked about Gundam items as a sanity check. Do we see the same pattern or are Macross items more costly to buy from US shops? Right now I think many of us have a gut feeling that the Macross prices are much higher than they should be, and it's a hard feeling to shake.
They're equally inflated for Gundam items on the official P-Bandai US Portal, for example a Metal Build that sells for 27k yen MSRP ($185 at today's exchange rates) is often 270 USD+shipping+tax which ends up like 315 USD when all is said and done, not to mention the 2-3 month shipping delay. They are shipped by boat and distributed from the West Coast by former Bluefin.
So price-wise it often ends up cheaper and faster waiting for see secondary market options even with shipping like DHL. That being said, for some items it is much easier to secure a PO on PBUS than the JP sites, so there's the tradeoff... It is more guaranteed.

I stand corrected about the MB GN Arms , looks like its going to be an options set.
I wonder who over at bandai had the common sense to make this decision
Probably the manufacturing lead time for a full GN Arms set is too lengthy....and the profit margins on options sets are much better?
It's almost half the price of a full set for maybe 25% of the parts. Not so much Bandai grew a conscience.

You’re giving the greedy sleezebags at Bandai too much credit. This is going to be a full release , then they will re release the other GN Arms with a slight color change and then maybe they will just sell the conversion parts by themselves
I'd typically agree with you, but I do remember a Japanese press release teasing the Type D as option parts and not a full release. I guess we'll see.

Stand alone OOTORI Pack Set. How I really wish Bandai will just do the Perfect Aile Strike Pack.
Well, Bandai is true to form as the ultimate tease... it's a toxic relationship. That I can't get out of.

The price on PBUS hurts so much more... $420, lol:
https://p-bandai.com/us/item/N2656309001001Yeah easy pass... that's probably $460 once tax and shipping. Makes the GN Arms feel like a good deal lol

I'm not sure if it's official, but from what was posted before, Type-D will be a separate optional parts. Meaning you have to buy an extra Type-E if you want to display both GN-Arms Types. Imagine the amount of space it's going to take.
Again, not sure if that is the official info for it.
Not a problem for some folks....LOL

FINALLY! Been waiting forever so YF-19 has something to go against.
Well, if anything can always have a Yammie for F mode and DX for B mode. I'd probably just get a model kit for F tho.

Doubt this was a reissue, they probably just found/acquired some extra stock, as "Release date will be August 7th, 2023"....

Preordered one but am I missing something, seems like there’s not enough interest or excitement for this piece. The only thing holding me back was the price before I gave in.😗
Prolly just a popularity issue, the piece looked quite good in person. The Dragon Scale side lines don't have the same demand as the Gundams so usually I find them for decent prices after release, especially if it's not a must-have I just wait and see.

That’s awesome! I’m jealous. I even emailed PBandai to see if there’s any chance they’d have extra inventory but to no avail haha. I just hope I can find it on Mandarake for less than the $900 or so that Lunapark is quoting.
Mandarake had one listed for 85k yen which is about 600 USD... although shipping may be killer.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve never used these sites before so I’m unsure how to apply these discounts from buyee though and don’t see those cheap(ish) prices anymore.
They're also on Mandarake for 38k yen unopened now...I got mine in person for 42k less than a month ago.

Fixed up the revival 25F a bit. Was originally just going to do a quick panel wash and call it a day, but then I kept going... Was a fun, quick little side project though
Did the matte finish give you any trouble when panel lining/cleanup?
