  1. Cough Enron Cough. Yeah, well I guess you can't just bend the laws of gravity with a snap of a finger, rather than bend the "laws" of capitalizing a cost rather than expensing it. LOL. Still, I don't know if this is for the better or not, seeing that this mainly is a Macross board, but I like Macross better. Gunbuster is still good, but I guess not what I expected. Actually, I didn't know what to expect in the first place besides GIANT ROBOTS VS SPACE MONSTERS like in GB2.
  2. This is why I study accounting. It's so black and white. Either the books balance or they don't! After seeing episode 6. WHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTt. that was so depressing I thought. It wasn't a bad ending, and it surely wasn't as perplexing nor controversial as Evas, but still, it's so sad they come back to Earth and they'll not know anyone on Earth ;___;
  3. WHHHHHHHHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. That was like the most saddest ending I've seen. Everybody you knew on earth has passed away. ;____; I want to cry now. ;____;
  4. This is the part I don't get. Are we assuming that time will only go one way? That is forward. You can either "speedup" time relative to the rest of the people by doing their lightspeed thing, or just go as the normal pace as everyone else, but how can you go back to something 10 years, even if you're traveling at let'sassume C speed, wouldn't time be moving forward? Sorry, much of this stuff goes way above my head, perhaps this is why I liked Star Wars over Star Trek. Sometimes there's just too much detail. Don't worry, I still like Gunbuster, but I didn't expect it to be this deep. Sorry, what's the Luxion again? ;___; I just know of that big ship the Exelsomething and the Lukushionsomething (I'm terrible with names), yea but what's the Luxion? Maybe I should see Back to the Future 1-3 again, I think that was one of the rare movies/shows that made the concept of time travel more digestible.
  5. Too bad I can't join in the excitement here, as the world of Gunbuster is very fresh to me (done episode 4 just now). Heh, at least I appreciate the look of the Gunbuster compared to that of the Evas. I thought those were well, ugly. I prefer more mechnical mechs (See Patlabor/Gundam/Five Star Stories and especially MACROSS) than organic stuff. When I see that new toy come out, I just think "holy cow, ...expensive....Xbox 360 level expensive"...
  6. A male Wolf Brigade, finally, after RAH and Dragon are basically all gone with their stock of the male ones. As I said earlier, the Aliens figures really have my eye and will go nicely with my Big Boss/MGS3 figure, as you have mentioned. It was the first 1/6 I got, followed by Kusanagi as the second.
  7. Holy dude, after seeing the comparison chart in the prelude before episode 4, for the Space Monsters, these things dwaft te 120km Death Star / 160 km DS II. Zentradi forces ATTACK!
  8. Well it's Anno. Don't spoil the ending for me, but, is this going to pull off another Evangelion ending? God I hope not.
  9. Physics 20 nor 30 never touched anything with Time Dilation in my HS curriculum. Well, this makes for a very intriguing show. ON TO EPISODE 3! EDIT: Well hold on, maybe we did something on time, and I skipped that whole section. No wonder I bombed the midterm. LOL. Well now, since I'm studying accounting, I have a whole new set of formulas.
  10. Noriko, you've seriously got to help me with understanding anything Gunbuster. So I finished watching episode 2. Umm...why were they in lightspeed again? Why did they come across the Lukushiyon in the middle of the warp. Why did they have to pull back in 10 minutes? Why was there no bridge? How the heck did they forward 6 months into the future in just one hour, well, I know that going at light speed would, according to some theories, warp time, but...that's very weird. It's like they go out for 10 minutes, come back and become all qualified to fight Aliens without the experience they could have gained in 6 months time. I'm confused, and Kuat Drive Yards is not impressed. Okay, I really really am getting confused with this.... I think I like GB2 better.
  11. What I like is it actually looks natural, since the hair doesn't seem like Barbie doll hair, and it flows naturally. The eyes are usually the part that makes a 1/6 seem fake, but these visors hide them away nicely in a cool fashion.
  12. This one here looks very nice. Is this a TAKARA Cool Girl? That giant collection up there is a mix of stuff I like and things I don't care for. I generally like the characters in military uniforms, and I'd love to get the JIN-ROH Panzer Corps ones.
  13. Well I was just wondering if there were any killer deals out there. I think I saw bigbadtoystore selling them at $80 USD, but then you'd have to factor in: Shipping/Currency/Customs charges, plus the wait time, and not knowing what condition it'd be in, plus the chance of losing it in the mail. $109 doesn't sound so bad after all. I just realised if I want all the marines (except Ripley) It'd come up to $550 CDN. I could get an Xbox 360 premium system plus one game for that much. ;___; CHOICES CHOICES
  14. Well how much are they regularly on the internet? I've seen about $135 USD for Ebay sites and stuff.
  15. Doing some MEGA BUMPING. I checked out Chinook Hobby today in my city and found out that they've got the 1/6 USMC Hot Toys ALIENS figures in at $109 Canadian each. Now, I've been pretty pumped for these things, and think they'd go nice as back drop for my 1/72 Dropship, but at that price, what do you guys think? $109 sounds expensive (about the right price for good quality 1/6 figures) but do any of you have these figures?
  16. Patlabor 2 is boring. OH SHI- Actually, It's ranking basically at the top 5 anime movies on my list, heaps above the first movie. Patlabor 1 was awesome, but P2 just blows my socks off. I really don't understand the whole mumbo jumbo about the audio, I liked Manga's version MUCH better. I'm just using TV speakers so I can't get 5.1 sound, stuck with 2.0 TV speakers LOL, so I find the voices drowned out A LOT by the SFX and music, especially when the dialogue is extremely important. Wings of Honneamise, how THAT'S a boring movie. Sorry guys. I really mean it on that one.
  17. But they did basically used the same stock 36 episodes and built basically from that, am I right?
  18. You guys better get this undeniable reference to a very particular individual in Macross, from an episode of Keroro Gunsou.
  19. Quite interesting, so Mari Iijima does both the Japanese and American release of Macross. Well, if I were to watch an American dub of Macross, then wouldn't it be the same thing as Robotech. (never seen Robotech, ever).
  20. At the same time, I'm finally getting Episode 5 of GB2 - it's been out for 2 months now.
  21. Bumping this a bit since this time around, I'm interesting in BUYING the Macross TV series. I found this at the futureshop/bestbuy website. It's $69.99 and is the 2nd box. I'm hoping that I can find the other 2 boxes (1 and 3) on other sites as well. Is this a good price? Here's the description: SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS is the original Japanese language version of the first MACROSS series, which was also released in an English dub as ROBOTECH LEGACY: MACROSS SAGA. An involving and exciting space opera that has been immensely popular since its release, MACROSS is a landmark anime. More Info WebID: M2064227 Mfr. Part Number: ANMDV441 More Information In these episodes, the Zentradi resort to using spies to find out more about Earth culture while the Macross struggles to return home after fighting the war for so long so far from Earth. Here's an example: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...617&catid=14761 Well I see that the ADV versions have 5.1 sound and probably some reworked video quality. Etc.
  22. Hot damn, I'm getting over 40 kb/s on these. Another what...12 hours to go for 13 GB file? Not bad at all. Thanks for the links. If I like them, then I'll be adding them to my "anime wanted list" LOL.
  23. This collection wins, as it's probably the best from Kenji Kawai that I've heard in a long time. Listening to Hallucination right now. I'm also quite a big fan of Yoko Kanno's works as well, so I'd vote for Inner Universe, Rise, and Turkey.
  24. Misa all the way. Too bad no choice for her? I love them in military uniforms, and out of them, especially.
  25. Any place that's actually selling the R1 versions of the original series? Noriko, I'm putting big $$$ out because of your words. Also, a torrent link would be nice at first. I only buy series that I LOVE. See: PATLABOR.
