NOW Part of me kinda wish they made official art on say...Jupiter Base soldiers and maybe other "bases".
Also maybe female Mars Base soldier in jumpsuit.

Kinda funny that we got new Mospeada models but kinda lack official artwork on color scheme on Jupiter Base and maybe other colonies.

Well, I know i've been obsessing alot, but any news since Genesis Breaker Mospeada?
Like maybe any info on other colonies and division outside of Mars?

Just found an interesting anime space military Visual Novel game.
Now part of me wish Mospeada should have its own visual novel...maybe like flashback of a soldier in present time or a desk clerk looking through testimonies (mostly implying the "game over" as deceased soldiers).
Maybe OFFICIAL art of female pilots in Mars Base (complete with jumpsuit).

Now I am thinking Red Hulk saying “Gamma Rays, Sam” ala Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising.

To be honest, I think Red Hulk would have spoiler attached since...he got memed as "Jeph Loeb's writing plot armor to the point of using Thor's Hammer and Silver Surfer board".
Though not sure if he would go Senator Armstrong's "Gamma Ray, Sam" in Metal Gear.

As far as official material, there is "Mars Base" the military installation and "Mars colony" which refers to the actual civilian settlement(s).  It doesn't really get any more specific than that.  Some sources appear to conflate the two and refer to both as "Mars Base", like MOSPEADA Color Graffiti, which refers to the residential block that Stick grew up in as "Mars Base 22" and lists Stick and Yellow's hometown simply as "Mars Base".  It's never actually seen except for Stick's one flashback in "Jonathan's Elegy", so we don't really have anything to go on.

First episode had Marlene mentioning a wedding dress she found in Mars City. Just wondering if it's the only one or other cities exist.

Genesis Breaker doesn't appear to have changed anything with respect to the Dark Legioss.  The regular version is still a conventional Legioss that's had some stealth upgrades to mask its HBT emissions and make it harder to detect by other means.  The unmanned Dark Legioss is still described as an unmanned conversion of the Dark Legioss fighter that's controlled by an onboard AI computer.

Somewhere between a Dreadnought and Robocop, yeah.  He's basically just a head, a spinal cord, and a bit of upper torso grafted into a military-grade robotic body.  In one sense, it might actually be worse than both since Simmons and the other "robot" soldiers had their brains forcibly reactivated after clinical death to be offered the choice of accepting their demise or being installed in robotic bodies and sent back into the fight.  Simmons is said to have died multiple times.  His Ride Armor's closer to a 40K Dreadknight though.

Genesis Breaker really REALLY reenvisioned MOSPEADA as an absolute hellhole of a setting... and not even on Earth, it's Mars that's the absolute hellhole.

Yeah, reading that story. I thought that Mars Base just sift through destroyed ships and/or retreating ships with dead crews onboard for such project.

Maybe I might be seeing Shadow Fighters being made from similiar process (either brain reactivation or neural pattern downloads).

Also I am wondering if they expanded on Mars Base, like is Mars City only city or other settlement exist (again, I do bios on fan arts to flesh out characters and wonder if they made official lore on cities on Mars, maybe Mariner Valley or Olympus Mons)

Chapters X-1, X-2, and X-3 do have art... but with the exception of Chapter X-3 it's rough sketches that are way below the level of the art elsewhere in the book.

Still nice to see them.

At least for a good ref for t-shirt and some headcanon ideas for fan art at least.

Now, part of me feel that Simon might be 40k Dreadnought equivalent.

Anyway: the magazine is great, the paper is a very good weight.  Most are in black and white and the information and designs are incredible. The printing is not as high quality as previous editions of Mospeada art books.

The only differentiation noted in Genesis Breaker is between infantry and pilots, but even that is strictly textual when talking about the Mars Base plan for retaking Earth.

 

Not sure why you would, the protagonists arguably aren't real soldiers so much as they are borderline secret agents. One of the previous art books even described them as the government's hit men for suppressing dissent.

Well, they could still be wearing field uniforms (maybe similiar to one Stick wore but with different color or design) and at one point Gate had Mars Base issue t-shirt.

Barring, I think, one chapter illustration all of the book's art of soldiers is of the titular "Breakers".

The rest of the book's art is principally their equipment (Riding Suits, Ride Armors, incidental stuff like sidearms and rations), with a little bit on the new Invit designs and a bit on the Genesis Breaker versions of a few key designs from the original series like the Ikazuchi, Izumo, and Anubis-1 missile.  There is a picture of Mars Base that's used in the book twice, but nothing related to things like ship crews, other bases that existed in the original's backstory, etc.

Like the original series, which focused on the survivors from several different Mars Base units banding together on Earth, Genesis Breaker focuses on a unit of elite intelligence agents from Mars running a mission behind enemy lines to study the Invit.

Shame.
Just that the show could have explanation on division colors and uniforms...and even Breakers had stories involving surviving Mars Base soldiers as well.

At least I expected sketch or brief art of them (especially female soldiers).

• 4 pages devoted to the roundtable interview with the creators
• 2 pages summarizing the timeline
• 5 pages of character bios (one each for Gate, Every, Eagle, Simmons, and Necessary)
• 1 page of equipment line art
• 5 pages of mecha line art broken up into half-page segments for the Bulldog TLEAD, Dropship, Spiteful Legioss, the modernized ship designs, and two pages for the Invit's "Star Ovary" and the twenty or so types of Invit (lettered A-R plus Invit Gate).
• 5 pages of the 1/12 scale Intruder ride armor model
• 74 pages devoted to the actual story in twelve chapters
• 12 pages of new story broken up into 3 new-for-this-book "Special Edition" chapters (X-1 thru X-3) devoted to the fates of the other main characters.
• 2 pages of glossary/keywords

It looks like the new content to the book is principally the three new Special Edition chapters of the story which comprise pages 100-111.

I admit I haven't been keeping up with this title, so some of what's in there story-wise is definitely a surprise to me.  It looks like the Invit's backstory was completely rewritten to go for more of a darker and edgier cosmic horror angle.  The Izumo's been redesigned to have thirteen synchrotron cannons now... it had just the one in the anime.

So no art of soldiers, crews, and maybe Jupiter and Saturn Bases?

So today's release date for Genesis Breaker Mospeada.
Anything new other than Hobby Japan website's articles and artworks?

Well, at least I won’t have to be skeptical about “why the under part of armor didn’t match with their outfit or do they take off their jumpsuit before donning armor”?
