Yeah, the US seems to be the only country that really doesn't make you pay import duties. Everyone else is on it. Maybe that's why we have such a budget deficit here?

No, their protective packaging it totally unnecessary and will greatly raise shipping prices. Just wait til it arrives at the warehouse, then it should ship DHL alone for about 5000 yen and arrive in 3-4 days.

I really REALLY hope it is a Max and Milia 2x VF-1J Super Valkyrie with accessories box set for 55,000 yen (+tax) MSRP. Cause that is two walks that I would NOT want to try and custom paint based on the Hikaru 1J

You also would need to chose between a Max 1A and a Max 1S, And whichever one you chose would definitely be the next one Bandai makes

When they did the SANS SERIF 00l as l00 I honestly thought they just flipped it upside down on accident on the machine for the whole Hikaru run. Seeing them deliberately type out 210 is just bizarre

I mean, if he shows up in two parts of the movie and has some lines each time it's more than a "cameo". We can even assume that all the missiles he fires in the opening battle kill at least some Zentradi. If he wasn't in the beginning and got introduced and summarily offed later on it would have been a bit too pathetic even for Kaki

Oh man, I was hoping to debut the DYRL Max like I did with Roy, but you beat me to it by a week or two (I got stuck on paint colors) Well, glad those decals @Anasazi37 and I cooked up are going to good use Stay tuned right here to see some 1S Max with weathering in the near future!

I would put money on it being the DYRL Max 1A, since they already committed to that with the numbers on the blue SSP roundels.

Well, impatient/crazy people are already working on DYRL Max VF-1S customs and TV Alaska Base VF-1A customs, so if you can dream it you can do it!

OK let me make an "on topic" post to crowdsource some ideas for the DX Alaska Base 1A project. Question 1: As long as we are making some decals, we might as well really go for it. So far I am thinking replace the "SDF-1" with Alaska Base, and replace Prometheus with "Grand Cannon" maybe? Also would need a fitting squad name instead of Vermillion. I was thinking Grizzly 2, Grizzly 3, Grizzly 4 markings (I feel like Grizzly Leader would be in a 1J). It would also be cool if each Alaska base custom had a unique pilot name and rank fitting a 1A pilot. Also there would need to be new white UN SPACY for the legs, which will be painted green (It would still be Spacy right? That's Space + Navy) Any other ideas for decals? Question 2: It would make the Alaska Base custom a lot easier to make if the shoulder armor was removable. It appears to be glued on. Has anyone attempted to remove this part for some reason? Or perhaps a similar part on a different figure? Or know of any effective but safe solvents? Any advice would be much appreciated! photo credits @jenius

@Anasazi37Wait, I just realized that the DYRL 1S out right now does have the ejector seat markings, but the 1J and 1A are supposed to have them, but don't right? Or am I confused again?
