  1. Never used buyee before, that’s Japan’s eBay I think? I registered and completed check out and it says my bid is live but I thought I checked out to “buy it now”, can anyone with experience using buyee chime in if did it correctly?

edit: got confirmation email that I won the auction, waiting for them to negotiate with seller now. I hope this all works put! Thanks for the link @Shawn!

  2. Nice pics everyone. @saburo your battroid pics are making me rethink if I should try to pick up Max. The color blocking looks good in batrroid mode but I feel it’s kinda weird in fighter mode with the big blue panels.

Yeah i started to notice the vertical empty space in my Detolfs recently. This is why i got those tamashii action stands a while back. the risers are a great idea/solution!

That top left display of them all flying in formation is awesome. Are those the Tamashi action stands you’re referring to?

On his Ebay account, where was he located? China or Japan?

    I believe US actually...

EDIT: oops my mistake, thought I saw somewhere on the account it said US.

  5. Yea, I'm certain we'll be covered by PP, 10 day waiting game at this point.

Just so disappointing that people can be such scumbags and that we won't be receiving the figure after waiting months on an empty promise.

  6. WOW...I decided to check my eBay preorder from seller japan-exclusive and I see that the account is no longer a registered user. Received several negative feedback last few months coming from 100% when I placed the order. Guess I'm SOL w/ this line, now I'm stuck with a missile and SSP set. Heads up to others who may have purchased from that seller...

So is my only course of action now to dispute thru PayPal, eBay, or my credit card? Will I get my refund if I placed the order in July or am I royally screwed?

  7. Yea, I'm just as confused! Listing is correct for DX Chogokin 1S. Gonna email seller to get some clarification.

Edit: seller just wanted to provide tracking info since order data on eBay disappears in 90 days. Deng got me excited lol.

  8. There’s no need for validation? I was sharing my experience and trying to see if anyone else has gone thru something similar. As a seller I agree with you on the fact that I should take returns and I normally would be willing if I was at fault but the item wasn’t listed incorrectly as the buyer stated nor would’ve been returned to me in the same condition. And yes if I were the one to open the package I would’ve went back to mandarake to try to correct the issue but am unsure of their return/exchange policies being that I’ve just begun using their services as well.

  9. Heres an update to the PP dispute if anyone cares to listen: buyer apparently closed the case, after I ignored his message. I called PP to verify whats going on and they said since he closed it, it can't be reopened and that it has been resolved and that no refund will be provided. But here's the kicker, if he paid with a credit card or financial institution, he can still file a charge back with them which in turn will trigger another dispute. PP believes he used the balance in his PP account however, if so, its a done deal (hopefully).

With how prices are jumping, I hope the other eBay seller who sold pre-orders for $240-280 won't screw over those that paid $240-280 (myself included at $280).

In your case, it could be a trick from the buyer, but I don't want to fuel suspicions. It is weird that your buyer is now saying the item is stable, since he has been transforming it more times. Did he claim the ankles were weak? somehow i missed that part.

His claim was that the shoulder joint was put in correctly, the "rivet" or metal pin was put in crooked, thus causing stress marks on the plastic of one of the shoulders. I didn't bother responding to his message yesterday and will leave it up to him to proceed with the PP process and see where it takes us.

  11. Dude give it a break, I simply asked for other's opinion and stated the facts and here you are saying things you have no idea about. Get your facts straight.

Update: buyer just messaged me saying "Are you sure you want an opened, used Valkyrie returned to you? Or would you rather give me a partial refund? Thing is, after transforming it a few times more over the past few days, the joint does seem stable...despite the flaw I'd keep it if I got a partial refund."

Giving me ammo to send to PP.

  12. I actually didn't go thru with that order after attempting to check out, was unable to complete that transaction when it went live. So no, I didn't sell a figure that was open and missing a piece as MISB...cmon. Your first link of the sold listing wasn't even mine.

You don't get over 500 transactions with 100% feedback by accident. Didn't mean to derail this thread, lets get back on topic.

No such thing as 'new in an opened box' in my world. If something is sold sealed, new means sealed. Yes, the buyer can lie... Anyone can always lie.

    Agreed.

When I called to speak to PayPal regarding seller protection, they seemed to be on my side surprisingly...but who knows, we'll see how this plays out.

  14. Thats good advice, I figured saying it was MISB would've suffice but I guess not. I'll do so moving forward. Live and learn. I had no intention of selling the only 1J I had either but my dog ruptured her ACL and need to fund her surgery, sigh. Thanks anyways ya'll, helps knowing I didn't do anything wrong I guess. I have over 500 100% feedback on eBay and he had 10...

  15. Thats what I figured but they are currently siding with him unfortunately and asking him to send it back to me to verify if it is what I sent him. Scumbag wanted a $80 refund at first and all of a sudden opened dispute for $100. Hopefully after I inspect it and provide PP more info they'll rule in my favor.

How could you have possibly "described" a defect if it was sealed? You don't have xray vision. The buyer even says it's a "manufacturer defect", it's not your defect, take it to the manufacturer then.

I even tried explaining that to them...

  16. Can I get your guys' opinions...I sold a MISB 1J, buyer receives it and says it has manufacturer's defect, wants partial refund saying "item not as described". Yet I described it as a brand new item, which it was. Is he entitled to a refund? It seems unfair that I should be responsible for something I had no knowledge of.
