  1. How cheap was cheap?
  2. Or maybe the buyer did not realize Arcadia is going to release the Elintseeker soon, and thought 30,000 yen was cheap given how expensive they used to be prior to the pre-order news.
  3. Kind of surprised that a Yamato v2 Elintseeker sold earlier today from Mandarake for 30,000 yen, given that one can pre-order the Arcadia upcoming release for much less money.
  4. As far as I could tell. Loopaza did not get listed until at least 14 hours after pre-orders at other stores began. Loopaza was part of my scan rotation, and I did not see it listed during that time.
  5. I just wanted to take a moment to apologize for not being available last night to update pre-order links. I feel bad that I missed out on listing when Anime-Export opened up its pre-orders. My body crashed hard last night and I was hibernating for the past 9 hours. I am very glad that @jenius and @Valkyrie23, gain the link hero, spread the word regarding Anime-Export pre-orders, and @gulan posted the PlazaJapan link. I hope many more MWF folk who had missed out on day 1 pre-orders were able to secure themselves a TV Max. *bows profusely* Again, I am so sorry for not being on the ball last night.
  6. Nin-Nin's 18,468 yen price offering went live at about 2pm JST on April 8 for a few minutes, then was taken down. The next time Nin-Nin offered the VF-1A, it was at an inflatted price of 29,900 yen.
  7. When I graduate, I can be called... Dr. Shizuka the Cat Shizuka the Cat, Ph.D. Dr. Shizuka the Cat, Ph.D.
  8. A friend of mine who works at Hasbro explained a possible theory as to why Bandai does not make enough valkyries. He said that, depending on the manufacturer, one cannot just order an arbitrary number of toys to be made. Rather, they have to be ordered in lots. For example, if a single lot is 2500 valkyries, maybe Bandai ordered 2 lots of the VF-1A because they knew that would completely sell, but were not convinced that 3 lots of inventory would clear quickly. Also, due to the quantity of a lot, it is not practical to have open pre-orders, since what happens if the pre-orders that come in does not come close to filling out a lot multiple? That runs the risk of the company either needing to cancel pre-orders down to a lot multiple, or going up to the next lot multiple and having too much extra merchandise. He also said that Bandai may be trying to avoid warehousing product as much as possible, so they might have fewer products manufactured, but don't have to worry about warehousing since they pretty much already sold everything off due to pre-orders. This is versus an approach of making perhaps too much and needing to keep some inventory warehoused in hopes of eventually getting sold off, potentially at a discount.... which they might be trying to avoid. He's not sure if this scenario is true for Bandai... or at least the division of Bandai responsible for Macross toys, but he offered it as to one possibility.
  9. Super Dimensional Enabler SDE-92 Shizuka
  10. I got someone to buy a valkyrie that they otherwise might not have purchased? My work is done!
  11. I' might be tempted, given that the 31A is the only Delta valkyrie that I am missing.
  12. NOOOOOO! That is what I am afraid of.... collecting the entire DX 1/48 line. I know my OCD will make me want to complete the set. *sigh* Now buyer's remorse is kicking in. I wonder if I can trade DX TV Max for a 1/60 VF-11C... hmmm.....
  13. I think you get charged right before they ship
  14. I need to find super parts for my RVF-25 and RVF-171 as well. My professor is now wondering why I am banging my head against my desk while saying "Why did I buy another scale?" repeatedly.
  15. Oh yeah, I also pre-ordered the Arcadia VE-1 Premium Finish, when I already own 2 Elintseekers. *sigh* Radar domes are my kryptonite... as are apparently DX VF-1A TV Max *double sigh*
  16. Am I that OCD? Hmmm, well... in the last 13 months, I have gotten... All the HMR valkyries, both TV and DYRL 1/3000 SDF-1, all the VF100's VF-25 toys, all the Maross Frontier / Lucky Star crossover VF-25 toys, a few dozen of the 1/60 Yamato Arcadia valkyries, all the DX VF-31 toys except the 31A, a DX RVF-25 and RVF-171, several chunky monkeys, and several Toynami 1/100 valkyries. I have even upgraded my SDF-1, and Max + Miria VF-1J toys to Premium Finish versions. No, not that OCD. *cry*
  17. Don't you dare say it! DON'T DO IT!
  18. Thanks! I tried resisting, but... given that it is Max, and seeing how hard it was for people to pre-order one, I kind of succumbed to peer pressure and decided to grab it. Is it bad that its rarity kind of made it become more coveted in my mind? Oh god, did I just start collecting valkyries in yet another scale?! What have I done?!
  19. This is what happens when I sit in front of my computer all day, hitting refresh on 11 online store sites CONSTANTLY.
  20. AmiAmi pre-order AVAILABLE!
  21. Thank goodness for Shapeways shoulder replacements
  22. You are welcome. There is always the 1/60 scale, if you really want vermilion.
  23. So far, not yet.
  24. Mandarake's online store never lists pre-orders.
