  1. Late night post but wanted to share a sample of what I've been working on with the Fans hobby Power Baser Gallery: Pt. 2. Looking to add approximately 25-30 photos to the existing gallery but this time with a more "theatrical" flare to give you guys a bit of a different view of this piece.
  2. I'd forgotten I had the full review of War Giant set C on site. http://kumastyledesigns.com/iron-factory-cannon-chariot-review/ Overall, the set is solid but pretty underwhelming for me. I've come to realize that I just plain don't like the design of Onslaught itself rather than it being a slight on the toy which really hits high on the "marks" of being a good piece. The "Hunter" Assasin is also a great toss-in and takes the price from "Ok" to a good deal. Here are some pics from the gallery section: I get asked every so often for pictures in Wallpaper format so I went ahead and gave it a go for once. This one is 1920 x 1080. I don't know how to do "Thumbnails" so if it stretches the site for people I'll just hot link it instead:
  3. FlameToys Drift has officially shipped and will actually get here prior to the year's end, so that's pretty hype.
  4. In all honesty, I think I Fans Hobby really upped their game with Power Baser to the point where outside of aesthetic similarities, they almost feel like a different company/designer. The engineering is just that much "different." However, I really think up until this they've built a solid, and easy to handle product. I'm just putting that out there because owning all of their stuff, Power Baser really made it hard to judge the overall company on a single piece because it seems to set a different standard that I don't even know if they'll keep going forward. I'm looking forward to your thoughts regardless.
  5. Yep. Absoltely. Masami''s creations have been around for some time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The full written review for FansHobby's Power Baser is up and I think it may be my longest article to date. http://kumastyledesigns.com/fanshobby-power-baser-review/ The gallery got taken down to about 30 pics which will probably keep expanding as I can't stop messing with this guy. Definitely check it all out and I'd love to know you guys' thoughts on it as well. Here are a few snaps from the gallery portion:
  6. Pelvic thrust isn't a meme. It's a nod to Japanese mecha; particularly ones designed by obari. It's also a show of superior abdominal articulation on a figure. If you Google obari pose you'll probably recognize a few from product photos you've seen! And btw, thank you, man. I agree, that it's an insane time to be a transformer collector. The options are seemingly endless.
  7. Honestly, I don't really think there's an explanation needed. Outside of Koot, I'm not about FansToys stuff at ALL at the level that it seems most people are but I know for me a big part of it is that I'm a Super Robot fan first and foremost and don't like designs that cater slavishly to G1 animation which I find horrid. We're all different and that's the beauty of the community. I know I'd get bored quick on some forum where everyone likes the exact same stuff I do; it'd negate the point of even coming to it.
