  1. NO! Man I think I need to quit messing with it before I ruin it. Nobody will ever be totally happy with it....
  2. How did you guys do it? I would love to see an overhead view of the arm in the open position as wel as one with it taken apart (if you can). I just can't visualize what you are using to pivot everything with... You know me, my first thought is "paper clip."
  3. What are you using for the notches that the thing swivels around?
  4. I may do a desert camo bird someday, but someone already beat me to it. This is based solely off of my character from AOD. He has a green flight suit so it fits. I actually invented this scheme around 1987. I've been waiting that long to try and pull it off. I just ran with it. The original did not have the green legs...they were blue all the way. I was afraid you guys would say I had not skill if I didn't trim them green, so that's what I did. Wait until you see it with decals on it. The miniature I have on my desk looks really nice. I hope this one will be even better. Stay tuned.
  5. Once Anastazi gets my decals to me.... This is what she'll say....
  6. He's FLYYYYYYYYYYYYINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!!!!
  7. Gray gunpod instead of black....
  8. Some of you complained... So I changed some things. How's this?
  9. Smudge some of it around..........it makes the Valk look like a totally different beast.
  10. NICE! YOU MUST FINISH IT SOON! Tell me how you modified the thighs to pivot. I have a first try variation of it but I don't like it in any mode but GERWALK.
  11. I just figured it out. I'm going to use a refrigerator magnet. I'll use the magnet as the back side of the hand. That way I can use another magnet to "pull" the hands out. WOO HOO! This is fun. Now if I could just figure out a way to make nose gear doors....
  12. I just pulled off a variation of KK's Yamato-style hand retraction mod. I simply sanded the parts off the back side of the hands and slid them inverted into the arms. I'll fill the holes in with putty. Voila. It's not as nice as KK's but it works. They're tough to get out though.... Hmmm.... Guess it needs more work.
  13. I forgot to reply on this one... The paint job was done with spray cans. It looks better in person than the photos do. Man, just when I think I have it figured out...........I see something KK has done and wonder how much better my Custom would be if I could only do what he has done! DANG! Have you guys seen KK's Super O? Unreal!
  14. This thing is just too good to let fall off the boards. What an amazing Custom. I had never considered rotating the hands like a Yammie! I have been trying a slider plate for the gap in the arm and that didn't work very well because it's hard to get the hands to come back out. Man.... That sucker is just flat out amazing! I wish you could show us a step-by-step of how you made the pivots for the hands.
  15. Xtoys, where are the pics of these mods? I'm salivating here! KK, thanks. I guess you and I really *are* amateurs (me more so than you).
  16. Guys, if air were the factor the Valk in the picture above would be uniformly yellow. It isn't! The parts in shadow are white! SUNLIGHT SUNLIGHT SUNLIGHT SUNLIGHT.
  17. These things are gorgeous, but a nitpick... Milia doesn't look to smart looking away from her wingman in a turn.... Any chance you can do a TV Max "J" colored version of something? Those look great!
  18. The paneling details on the wings... They look like Anas' decals. Spoilers, etc.. They came out looking really slick on that Ostrich. I just wanted to know how you did it. What did you use to prep and finish them.
  19. What if you reinforce the piece with a thin titanium or steel plate? Even aluminum alloy would work I would think. How thin can you go with those hip bars?
  20. The TV hands are superior. They need to make them with the wire articulation so they can be posed like those hand keychains....
  21. I just realized I can use the tips of a BIC pen as thrusters for the legs. I am going to try this over a Koku kit as it's cheaper.... Let's see what happens....
  22. I'm using a bench grinder. Damn, KK, you and I think alike (except that I am always a few months behind you). I guess great minds and all that.... I want to make mine thinner than yours, though. I am wondering if it can be done. That Ostrich is freakin' BEAUTIFUL man. I am stunned.
