  1. Sorry I just thought that people might want to know.

On a par with this we could possibly get the models from these other games. I know that some of them are using Milkshape to make the mechs. and for instance ther is a way of removing models from Freelancer maybe there are similar ways for the other games.

I know that there are a great number of very talented Macross devotees that are doing models and environments for the HomeWorld engine.

All I mean is that it may help get this mod ready or provide some working models to enable trials etc of the game.

I didnt want to upset anyone and I say sorry to all again for this.

  2. OK. My brother saw the website at the weekend he was impressed with the customs and artwork. He has asked me to clean up his Jetfire to as new condition.

Basically it need a clean a few touches of paint and new stickers.

I can do all the at except the stickers.

Has anyone got the sticker sheet or would somone be willing to scan their one so that I can make an acurate one for him. The stickers he has left on it are not the best and it would be easier with them all flat and unscathed.

Been trying to get some on ebay with no success.

  3. Gonna derail this a tad:  After looking up Freespace 2, this looks interesting! Is it as good as TIE Fighter was back in the day?  I stopped playing flight sims after my Sidewinder went kaput, but Freespace 2 is convincing me to splurge and get another stick...

btw, what's a good stick these days?  Or does Freespace 2 work on a mouse? :-p

Well I use my sidewinder for all my compatable games. Still good. M$ have improved them slightly recently, so my money would be on a new Sidewinder.

On a side note has anyone got Mechwarrior.

I belong to a clan (combat group) in that game There is a healthy modding scene for it also.

Recently a lot of macross mechs have been added the one that fasa had copyright isuses with and Microsoft didnt put in so as not to upset BigWest.

Worth a look if you can you will need Mechwarrior Mercinarries as a base though to make the most of it Its coll running arround in Destroids and Glaugs. Im just waiting for someone to add VF1`s

  4. Yup chalk me up for one of those.

Chris You are awesome man make sure you keep that bateries fresh in your Wacom tablet pen :p

That things gonna need its own zip code.

  5. The backpack piece is actually worthwhile if it's on a kit with fastpacks because it's so apparent in that position.  I've only done one and it wasn't too bad.  It's a nice detail.

So they are only any good for Gerwalk or fighter then ?

If they are just as I thought just peiced of photo etched electroplate how come nobody has thought of doing copies. I mean there must be someone amoung us who works with printed circuitboard manufacture.

  6. if it's the bandai sd it's defianetly worth it. About the size of a joke machine when assembled, and real easy to assemble without glue. I built one and had to get another to have mib just because it was so friggin cool. The gun even shoots.

the arii one is much smaller. I have one but have never bothered assembling it.

the seller answers and says "baggies" this time so probably is the bandai. I asked the seller two further clarification questions which would eliminate all doubt.

Yeah thats similar info to what I got. Yeah I think i will go for it.

Just one more for the collection .

Gonna need another clear display case as my Gashapon collections getting to big.

  7. Poo?!?!? was that an option?

HAHA! Yeah I just read that. I typed sh!t but I guess the "think of the children!" auto replacer on the board chose "poo" !!

I kind of like it now that I read it that way, but anyhow. Now how do I turn that thing off again?

Ha ha you could have some funn with it lol

poo poo poo poo bottom etc

  8. Oh boy, I had to do a research about this .

By the way guys someone needs to add this to the hasegawa plastic kits on the  model menu section.

Hey big F, the photo etched parts are an add on for detailing of the models on certain sections of the building up; they are also made by Hasegawa. I would strongly recomend you to buy them if you want to maximize the detail of the Vf's.

There are other ways to get around it by kitbashing styrene parts and metal pieces added on but the quality of the potho etched is already superb. You can find them on Ebay and some model shops might still have them available but you have to do some research. The average price is around $10-$12 but they are becoming scarse so expect the prices to go a bit higher.

    hope that helps a bit

Thanks for that I saw them originally when I was In Tokyo but wasnt sure what they were and if I really needed them. Well now I think I do  well my fault for not buying them. Well I will keep an eye out on eBay and failing that Im back in Tokyo in April so I will sort it out then , the shop I get my Hasegawa stuff in has a whole section on macross but they are way more busy selling Gundam and Final Phantasy stuff. May be I will be in for a chance.

  9. I have seen and auctions that the post is as much as the Item there is a particular ebayer who ships Macross who charges the same ammount for the postage as his buy it now price. While some of these auctions are still good value others have been downright silly.

Also you should beware some Ebayers have accounts registered in one contry but ship from another.

Recently a friend of mine wanted a copy of Macross Zero Perfect ova, I owed him a favour so I got it for him From an auction that stated the DVD was in London England. Now London is 45 miles from my house but the item took 2 weeks to arrive. I mailed the guy and he said it must be the post office as he had sent it over a week ago.

When it turned up it had Hong Kong stamps on it and had been stamped by my post office the day before.

Funny I didnt know that the Royal Mail had started issuing Hong Kong postage stamps.

Left him ok feedback and never got any feedback in return.

Wont be buying of him anymore.
