  1. I am hoping Bandai includes the strike cannon with the super packs. I would like to see a light gray/white cannon on a VF-1. I have always like the strike packs more than the super packs.

  2. Oh man you are in for a treat with the Riobots :) Jehuty in particular is fantastic. Anubis' Achilles heel is the method they used for the wings but overall it looks great and the articulation is there. Just take some patience to fiddle with it as opposed to Jehuty.

I agree that Anubis' big problem is the wing connection. I thought it was a clever idea but the tolerances with the clear connectors a little loose with my copy. The wings tend to flop to one side or another if they aren't balanced right. I haven't had a chance to open up Jehuty yet.

Out of curiosity, does it bother anyone how light some of the Riobot figures can be? For over $100 figures would expect at least a little heft.

  3. I was watching a YF-30 go up on ebay this morning that was $400 just to see if it sold at that price. It sold at $400 the same night and I had the question,

Is the YF-30 worth that much or did the person have too much money and really wanted it? I know they are hard to come by but that is double the price it was released at.

  4. I am going to keep telling myself that I don't need two Glaugs. I am sure they will be doing more Regults for the HMR if I need more baddies.............. But the thing is cheap now compared to when they go on ebay ......... no No NO........... No space, I have no space for two.........

    Ok, that might have worked.

How much has the shipping been on the Glaugs?

I was planning on waiting until the Monster was released and ship the two together, but then the EMS shipping prices are going up. So that plan went down like cannon fodder.

  5. I wonder why bandai included the arm supports for the Glaug? Are the arm cannons too heavy for the joints and they expect sagging later on?

  6. I don't mind the white. I think if they want the white on the legs to match the fast packs no big deal. With the 80s animation things were changing colors all the time anyway. I can see them wanting to do a consistent scheme for the individual figures. I would be happy with the white or the greenish shade from the earlier pictures.

  7. Yup, I will have to agree with you about Ray. It doesn't feel like you're getting as much value as Rex does (who already feels pricey as it is). Do these actually go on sale later on? I don't recall seeing the Rex ever drop in price, even the full-size one.

But at the end of the day, I'm happy to have these two in my collection. For the longest time I was tempted to pick up the full-size Rex a few years ago but didn't have anywhere to display it. I'm glad 3A made these half-size versions.

I want to yes that Half-Size Rex was on sale somewhere, but I can't remember. And the thing that got me with Half-Size Rex is that we was articulated. I have trouble justifying expensive toy purchases if you can't pose them.

  8. I got my VF-1S Roy yesterday and happy to report that I didn't have one issue. I haven't had a chance to transform it but mine was not missing the "Rear Flap Thingy." All the joints were tights in battroid mode and I wasn't missing any accessories. Hopefully everyone else has the same experience.

  9. That sucks HLJ is enforcing a 1 per customer limit, all I wanted was two CF. So I guess I will try amiami and/or amine export.

I feel if HLJ has stocking problems with new preorders then they should put in bigger initial orders. Their regults were consistently being sold-out up to release and the stock was depleted in a day or two.

  10. I really want to get the re-issue version because I missed out on the first release. But I am having trouble justifying that price if Arcadia hasn't addressed any of the issues. At $265 the toy should not have lose ankles.

I want to buy it because second hand market prices are ridiculous and I love Macross plus. But if they haven't fix the issues from the first release then I would rather wait for a sale.

  11. I am very surprised there isn't third party companies for Macross. I collect third party transformers which I blame for me getting into the high end toy collecting game. But I still collect third party transformers because they fill in gaps my collection and do really great figures. Figures that Hasbro or Takara haven't done, or have done horribly. So when there is a good market for strike/super packs of various colors I am surprise someone hasn't cashed in.

  12. Really happy I decided to order Roy through a local import shop. I will probably get Roy later everyone ordering through NY but I would rather that then deal with extra shipping.

  13. I definitely think Arcadia should release the strike/super pack separately. The second hand market for the Yamato releases are ridiculous. I can see them first releasing the VF-1S bundle with the strike/super packs and wait a few months before putting the pack out separately. That would allow them more time between the VF-1S re-release and the next Valkyrie.

Plus if they don't release the packs separately that would be a huge kick in the balls to any one that bought the first release of the VF-1S.

  14. Post your thoughts on that Re:Edit Hulkbuster.

The Re:Edit Hulkbuster is awesome! Honestly one of the best figures I have purchased to date. Sentinel did a fantastic job on the paint with the high gloss red and different gold metallic shades throughout the armor. Definitely the heaviest piece I have bought from Sentinel with lots of diecast. The joints have this perfect tension of being able to move and hold a pose without difficultly. The best surprise was how well they hide the battery compartments for the LED lights. The chest batteries are actually in the pylons stick up in the back. They separate to hold two batteries each and have a metal connector that pops in and out easily. It's like handling a Hot Toys figure expect smaller and alot more playable which is a big plus for me. I could never justify buying a $200+ toy that you can't pose or play with.

And I have always been a fan of the Iron Man comic so this design is perfect. The movie armors are great but I don't have the same connection to them like I do with the comics. I only hope they keep going with this line and do some of the more obscure armors. It was definitely worth the money and wait.

  15. I just shipped my three Regults, VF-4G, and Re:Edit Hulkbuster from my HLJ private warehouse yesterday. Looking forward to setting them up with my Hikaru VF-1S. Just waiting on the actual shipping confirmation from HLJ.

    Waiting sucks.
