At least they know how to put up a valiant fight. Too bad I can't say the same about those inept Storm Troopers (a.k.a. Orcs of LOTR or Red Shirts of Star Trek ).
T'was NOT me.
Merry Christmas EVE Macrossworld!
EDIT. I canceled my order from HLJ.com and went through TOYNK.com instead. It'll be here by next Monday (through UPS) and the bill will be much cheaper.
I spent a couple of hours at the Target ( in Union City, CA ) finishing my X-Mas shopping.
There were NO Alternators.
But plenty of Armada Optimus Primes and Unicrons.
Tons of new Energon figures as well.
DARN. I was SOOOOOO looking foward to picking up an Alternator Sideswipe (before Prime comes in).
I'm glad to say that NOT that many people were hurt (unfortunately it seems that two people have died from the quake).
I guess I was sleeping through the quake because I don't remember any shaking going on (quite sad huh folks).
My collection could have jacked me.
It does look pretty nifty. But $150 for something that'll end up catching dust? I could just as well drive over to IKEA and pick up nicer bookends for a fraction of the price. Sorry. But I'd rather use that money for much needed Christmas gifts (like a Dancougar, Masterpiece Convoy, or 1/48's.
I'd like to know as well. Macross 7 is the ONLY (Macross) series I know NOTHING about. I've seen the first episode plus The Galaxy Is Calling Me.
Am I missing a lot of Macross if I don't see this series?
That's funny you mention that......I was surfing (i.e. lurking) around some Transformers forums which shall remain nameless for now. It seems that some of them thought Macrossworlders "spammed" last years TOYBOXDX "Toy of the Year" Contest. Is there any truth to this?
Well. Considering that HLJ.com would have charged a pretty hefty price for EMS shipping I decided to go with toynk.com (and their $4.99 Flat Shipping fee) . I also had a bit of trouble with HLJ.com when I ordered my Binaltech Smokescreen, went through toynk.com and had no problems there.
I think I'm calling it quits with my relationship (with HLJ.com).
Boo! The binaltech series is one of the GREATEST carry the Transformers name. It's the perfect balance between modern vehicles and robots modes. Stop smoking crack.
2003 was a GREAT year for Macrossworld.
Let's hope 2004 will be even BETTER.
Thanks to Graham, Shawn, the MODS, and all the members who make Macrossworld such a GREAT place to be.
<_< <-- notices the parade of smilies
I sure hope so.....back when Shawn started that Clear Fast Pack thread (in the For Sale forum) I thought I'd be getting the full set. Then I found out only certain pieces were going to be clear. I decided to cancel my order.........
