  1. Great contest, thank you Brett for conceiving and implementing it!  If any experienced resin kit builders are willing to make a video tutorial while making their project, it will be much appreciated.  I'll even offer a free resin kit and/or cash prize depending upon your preference.  Please let us know if you're interested.  :hi:

Here is a link to the thread I started about the tutorial for further insight.  A variable kit tutorial would be awesome, but they require the most skill, so fixed pose is also a good place to start.  As I mentioned, I'm even happy to provide the transformable MW resin kit of your choice from my personal collection.  ;)

  2. Thank you to everyone who has posted and kept this thread alive.  I've been enjoying looking through the pictures, and there are some awesome collections!  I think we've only scratched the surface, let's see more built and pending from Macross model kit fans. :yahoo:

007-vf1: You have some very nice looking valkyries in your display cabinet.

R2KF, Joscasle, Kkx, Jvmacross and Bolt: Your collections are really cool.  :good:

Grayson72: Please let me know if I can send you that list of questions, just patiently waiting for your reply to my February 12 message.  I need your feedback for the Macross Complete Model List I've been working on.  :help:

Club M 1/72 VT-1 Super Ostrich, booster antenna will be changed to white, with a gray tip. (New addition to my collection, built by my longtime friend Tom.)

Tayland 1/72 VF-171 Nightmare Plus, pretty rare kit, so we made a resin copy to be built instead of the original. (New addition to my collection, built by my longtime friend Tom.)

  3.

I am not holding my breath but it would be awesome if hasegawa came up with this armor as they did with Frontier..

Yes, although I don't collect toys anymore, I would love to see this armor set released by Bandai for their 1/72 VF-31 model kits.  Maybe there's a pattern, they release the toy first and follow with the model.  ;)

  4. I can give some information about Excelsus, which is a garage kit company who previously released Wonder Festival exclusives for 1/72 Hasegawa Macross kits.  So, now it appears that they will be making the gun pod/etc for the Wave 1/72 VF-4.

Although this may not be the complete list, here are some of the items I know of:

    45.)   VF-19S Space/Atmospheric Super Parts 1/72 Excelsus
    46.)   VF-19F Aircraft Conversion Parts 1/72 Excelsus
47.)   VF-11C Super Aerospace Fighter, Super Parts 1/72 Excelsus
    48.)   YF-19 Battroid Conversion Set 1/72 Excelsus

  5. Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1(A/J/S) Battroid Valkyrie Upgrade Parts [Pending Verification]

Well, it's only been 10 years, but it looks like we finally have verification of this kits existence.  I was recently contacted by a MW member who had a question after winning it in an auction.  I'm seeing a lot of polycaps, what look to be arm joints, backpack pieces so this definitely seems to be for a battroid Hasegawa.  Perhaps the original battroid kit was in need of upgrades for some reason to prompt the release of this item.

Please take a look and let me know what you think:  :hi:

  6. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, and good luck with their recovery.  Not to make light of a bad situation, but rather perhaps give you a lead as to the thief's identity.  It's obviously someone with good taste and appreciation for Macross.  If the other kits look as nice as the one you posted, then I can see why there were attracted to them.  ;)

  7. Happy Holidays:

I've been working on creating a list of every single Macross kit in all scales (1/144, 1/100, 1/72, 1/48, etc) and materials (plastic, resin, vinyl, etc).  The last (2) years were spent compiling links to every website/thread containing information/pictures about Macross kits.  :bigshok:  Anyone interested in assisting, please let me know.  The ultimate goal will be to update the MW Model Section.

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/10945-macross-172-scale-complete-list/

    * If you have a list of your Macross model collection please send it to me via MW messenger to see if there's anything missing.  (Shawn, Chad, Carl, etc.)  :hail:

    * If you own more than (10) kits or have any rare ones but no list, please consider to take a picture and send it me or create a list yourself.

    * If you have any background information about the origins of rare manufactures (Experten, I.H.P., Liquid Stone, D-Stance, etc.) please contact me or post in the thread.

First off, I need feedback on the numbering system for the following kits.  If you own any of these kits that have numbers on the side, please help me fill in the blanks.

These pictures are from my personal collection.  (Please be specific what you're referring to, or pictures will be awesome.)

1.) Arii 1/100 HEWAT Model Collection

Question: Does anything come after #10, or other numbered Arii collections you know of?

2.) Arii 1/100 Silver Box Model Collection  (I'm only missing #102 VF-1J Hikaru if anyone can help.)  :help:

Question: Does anything come before #78, after #112, or between #84 and #98?

Arii 1-100 Silver Box Model Collection.jpg

    3.) Bandai 1/100 Model Collection

The VF-1S, VF-1D, and VF-1J Max each have two different box art available.  (Picture forthcoming)

Question: How many releases were there?  (Original, 15th Anniversary, and 30th Anniversary)

Question: Which release had numbers on the side?  (Original most likely)

    Question: What's the missing numbers?

    Bandai 1-100 Model Collection.jpg

    4.) Imai 1/72 Model Collection

Question: What's the missing numbers?  (Very strange numbering system, they jump around a lot..before, after and in between unknown.)

    Imai 1-72 Model Collection.jpg

    5.) Hasegawa 1/72 and 1/48 Model Collection

Question: They use a numbering system, anyone have a large collection that could provide a picture with them in order?

    6.) Bandai 1/72 Model Collection

Question: Did the original variable kits use a numbering system for the 1st release like the Bandai 1/100 1st release did?

Question: How many releases were there?  (Original, 15th Anniversary, and 30th Anniversary)

    Will update as we go,

    Christopher  :hi:

  8. Club M 1/72 YF-19 commission, I hope you like it.  The clear parts included with these kits tend to yellow over time, so they had to be recast.  Fold booster and weapons can be removed/added as desired.  The last picture is from Club M to give a comparison.  Thanks!
