It's great to see your collection David, very impressive!  You've also made some very good suggestions with regard to storage.  I didn't realize how easily the boxes can bend, I'll need to be more careful in the future.  I really like the way you've displayed the boxes inside of the bookcase, nicely done.

Arcadia has introduced a new trend this year for them, something that was primarily an issue with Bandai.  Where they release one version, and then later an improvement like what happened with the VF-25 renewal.  Not to mention the HMR line where we have two VF-1S Roy, two VF-1J Max, three VF-1J Hikaru (1st, 2nd, GBP) in a relatively short amount of time.

Not sure if Arcadia has decided that is a good business model and have started to imitate Bandai.  For example, they released the 1/60 VF-1S Roy and I think in July 2017, the VF-1S Roy Premium Version will be released.  Fortunately, with regard to the VF-1S Hikaru we learned of both at the same time, so people were able to make a choice.

At least in Arcadia's case, the difference between versions is purely aesthetic, as opposed to some of the Bandai VF-25 that had design flaws.  Some people will be happy with the regular version, other people will want the top of the line, and a few will want to buy both versions.  For my part, the premium version is the only one I want or need.

So, my concern for the future VF-1J Max & Milia and beyond will be when we don't know if Arcadia will also release the premium version.  I would hate to keep buying the regular version, just to find out a few months later the upgraded version is being released.  Hopefully Arcadia is going to give us notice of both versions at the same time so we can make an informed choice.

10.) Bandai 1/60 VF-25S Armored Messiah Ozma Custom (1st version complete with the armor, minor crack in hinge underneath, still transformable and perfect for display. Includes stand, only displayed, no box but should have original instructions, decals, etc.)

11.) Bandai 1/60 VF-25F Armored Messiah Alto Custom (1st version complete with the armor, no cracks in the hinge underneath, transformable and perfect for display. Includes stand, only displayed, no box but should have original instructions, decals, etc. Minor yellowing on nose, legs, but should be hidden by the armor.)

12.) 1/16 Tamiya Sherman Full Option Kit (great condition, Futaba radio, battle unit, aluminum long barrel, IMPACT gearboxes, metal battery tray, metal tracks, IMPACT full metal suspension, etc. Great running sound and not the cheap Chinese versions that break easily.)

13.) Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure (transformable, has sounds, movement, etc. Lose, should have manual, displayed only, good condition.)

14.) Assorted transformers cars (5), motorcycles (4), Optimus Prime (1) that were released after the 2007 movie (All perfect condition, never transformed just safely displayed, lose but should have all of their manuals and accessories.)

I've been checking eBay on a regular basis, and have found no Toynami 1/100 VF-1J transformable, only the armor sets which is worthless without a Valkyrie to put it on.

There are a few Banpresto 1/100 VF-1J Max and/or Miria/Milia but mostly for $45, and one place in the US wants $40 just to ship it.

My plan is to make a 1/100 diorama and also add some more customs to my collection. Toynami is much better since the Banpresto are a bit floppy, but beggars can't be choosers.

1.) 1/00 Toynami and/or Banpresto Max & Miria/Milia VF-1J (Not the VF-1A) [MISB/MIB Preferred but open to discussion]

2.) 1/100 Toynami and/or Banpresto Max & Miria/Milia Super/Strike Armor Sets (They sold some Banpresto with armor, I want to use that armor on the Max & Miria/Milia so will buy the Valkyries and remove the armor.) [MISB/MIB Preferred but open to discussion]

3.) 1/55, 1/60 Version 2 and/or 1/48 Custom valkryies (Jung, Kurt, Rosario, etc) Custom as in nice paint job, decals, hinge bar removed for fixed Valkyrie mode modification, hip/knee/feet/intake modifications, resin armor and so forth. [No damage, ready to be displayed]

Ha, ha seeing this really made my day, looking forward to this release.

I keep meaning to buy another display case, so many valkryies are sitting in their boxes, but this one will be proudly shown to all my friends who visit.

Looks like I'll be buying that case this week, and finally get around to posting some pictures of my collection. Sadly, all of my customs from years of collecting are in storage.

I haven't posted for a while, but Macross is always on my mind and in my heart. I pre-ordered the YF-29 when it first became available and I'm excited about it.

September of this year will be the (10) year anniversary of when I joined MW, although I was a visitor for (10) months prior. Regards to all, and hope to make it another (10) years after that.

After reading Graham's review and reading this thread, I've decided to buy my first SDF-1, and I'm happy that it will be this version as opposed to the smaller one from Wave.

It's cool to see this thread resurrected from the ashes of the fire. It brought back some pleasant memories.

Anyone with money can buy a toy, but it takes inspiration, perspiration, and love to create a custom valkyrie.

Although I'm very fond of my Yamato 1/60 V2 collection, I would rather own a one-of-a-kind custom 1/55 valkyrie.

There's something to be said for the original that we grew up with.
