  1. The Tomahawk and GBP-01 are Trading figures from Kaiyodo, series 002, I believe.

Correct...and they are 1/250 size...these things are addicting, just ordered this one :)

  2. Saddest part about the RPG aspect of the game is that I won't be able to understand it from the get go. I am sure we'll be blessed with any and all translations and guides provided by our MW family.

That would actually make it a rounded out perfect first Macross game I've owned since the NES Macross game lol....I'm hoping by this time next month that game will be in my hands!

  3. Ack you are coming to this LATE. You wait till the 28, that might be pushing your luck.

I ordered mine from CD Japan, they only have 16 copies left of the regular edition.

Yeah...was able to pre-order from AmiAmi, not the uber edition though. :(

  4. Ok...so what do I need to do to get this game? Wait till Feb 28 and order from a vendor in Japan? This game is going to be like heaven, can't wait!

    EDIT:

Going through the thread I chose to pre-order from AmiAmi :)

    Yay!

  5. I really liked the premise and initial execution of the show but sort of like with The Shield, certain elements were too obviously geared for soap opera drama than reasonable or likely behavior.

I still don't understand how anyone can judge a fictional story, especially one about the ZA and critique it based on "reasonable" or "likely" behavior of the characters. And then throw in a series like The Shield to back it up?

I've heard the Walking Dead called by many names, but never a soap. Last time I checked soaps didn't feature crazed husbands stabbing a bloated corpse because it had eaten his wife earlier.

@jvmacross...what you saw on that episode is a mirror of the comic.

  6. I've got my digital copy on iPad, and paperback loaned out to my bro who wanted to read the book after seeing the trailer.

Word is this is the first of a trilogy, so who is to say we won't see more elements of the book spread out throughout the series? I'm thinking the first movie will jump (literally) into the Great Panic, the second with the actual War, third mop up and actual interviews done by Pitt's character?

Everyone I talked to who that saw the trailer agreed it looks sick...this by people who don't even care about zombie movies. So its gonna have a good impact I think in the long run.

  7. I'll admit to seeing the Zeds coming in literal waves is something new and terrifying to behold. Sadly the movie is based on a book that has nothing to do with runners.

Gonna go see it anyways and hope that regardless of the plague the movie has some redeeming factor.

  8. There's more of them than the 757 or 767 now, they're everywhere if you fly across an ocean. They're even more common than every widebody trijet ever built, combined. (more than double the production run of the DC-10)

Yeah, sadly they aren't used between FL and SC...and if I were to go to Chile LAN still uses 767's...I'd probably get on a 787 by LAN before a 777

  9. I'll have to say last night's episode was probably one of the more powerful ones in the series...right up there with infamous barn scene from last season.

The action and drama were all there...and divided up with such precision that it felt like a season finale. Andrew Lincoln's acting is amazing. His reaction at the end was very compelling. He truly does Ric Grimes justice.

The anticipated confrontation with the Governor will be incredible. This season has already done in 4 episodes what took the entire season to do last year, and we're only at the start! Its no wonder 20 million people are watching the show.

  10. Its the 3rd moon of Endor.

I will be the one MW'er that likes this move. Disney knows what they have, they won't f it up.

I agree with A1...regardless of Disney's ownership, Lucas' role as just a "creative consultant" is a good start for the next trilogy.

  11. The movie has a name now: The Wolverine if a mod can adjust the thread title por favor :)

    From superherohype:

When X-Men Origins: Wolverine hit theaters, many fans didn't care for it and part of that reason would be how it didn't match up with the timeline of the other films. People pointed out this problem even more with the prequel X-Men: First Class. With the upcoming film The Wolverine being about Logan's time in Japan, coupled with the 'after credits sequence' of Logan in Japan from the previous film, we've all assumed that this next entry will be a follow-up that leads into Bryan Singer's X-Men. We were wrong. If you don't want to know anything else, don't read further due to potential spoilers.

In an interview with Empire, director James Mangold said that this film is not a prequel at all. "Where this film sits in the universe of the films is after them all," revealed Mangold. "Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded or gone, so there’s a tremendous sense of isolation for him."

Now, there will be prequel elements in the film as we already know some scenes will take place in World War II, but after that it will presumably jump to the present day.

"That’s something that for me was very important, that I land in a very specific place in his timeline," says Mangold. "I wanted to be able to tell the story without the burden of handing it off to a film that already exists and having to conform to it. The ideas of immortality reign very heavily in this story and the burden of immortality weighs heavily on Logan. For me that’s such an interesting part of Logan’s character that is nearly impossible to explore if you have a kind of league or team movie."

And before you start to think of this movie as an action adventure, Mangold gave his two cents on its categorization: "Japanese noir picture with tentpole action in it."

Opening in theaters on July 26, 2013, The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.
