First,I used the 'smooth' modifier.Instead,you can edit the smooth group of an editable poly.
Second,I used a render called brazil. With the power of the render ,you can get really pretty effect !

Plus: If I use bump map, the number of the faces will be far reduced. The pictures I posted, you see, there're several dark lines on the body of the fighter.And the lines ,in fact, are faces.
