Gwynne, wmkjr - thanks for listening! We don't always get that much feedback and its nice to know that people are listening, given how much time goes into doing these things :-)
Hearing you guys blab about Macross, along with the Arcadia YF-19, helped reignite my infatuation with the series. I had not watched my Macross dvd's for years.
-
I have been watching Macross 7 again and I am about half way through the series right now. I have only watched it all the way through once before, and I really agree with Scream Man's take on it. The other day while watching the 20th or so episode I found myself wondering how many hours of Planet Dance have I listened to so far. I can't believe I am saying this, but it was a case of too much Macross.
Looking forward to part 2 for the valk discussion. Keep it up.

Yeah, that came to light relatively recently with their latest bout of legal threats... though they can renew that license, so I'd not make any long-term plans for partying.
I know nothing about licensing, but wouldn't it be better for Big West or whoever to tell them to scram and sell it to someone who will promote and do something with the series and not sit on it for another 30 years.

I'm not sure if it was answered, but I'm wondering why many of the battroids have such a large space between the torso and crotch plate compared to the official Arcadia pics? Is there a part that is not being transformed correctly or a difference between the promo toy used in the Arcadia pics and the actual toy?
I haven't attempted a transformation yet and have no experience with the V2 19 series, so just curious.
Only thing I can think of is that people are not doing the second to last step in the instructions which involves pushing a detent and pivoting the hips/legs forward and up.

They were great decals.

Tochiro, I think he's referring to the full-size ones, which are usually framed, and limited in number. Those do go for 60,000 and upwards.
This is what I found. Looks like what you are describing. I guess if it was an image I really wanted it would be something I might buy, but it is still very pricey for a print.
-
The problem with all of the goods is that they generally only sell them at events. There's no webstore or anything like that. And once they're gone, they're gone.
That's a shame. I did find a Gundam print on Yahoo auctions for 60,000 yen which seems like a lot. What do they go for at events?

I am enjoying the SpeakerPODcast. It is interesting to hear about things Macross related that happen in Japan. Keep up the good work guys.
Also In episode 11, when you guys were talking about the museum, you mentioned Tenjin prints. Any information on where I can get some? Google failed me and it would be awesome to have something of his framed on the wall.

Hey everyone. It has been long time since I have poked around here. The FAQ says no, but my hearts broken. Is there any hope for me?

I have been wanting to get a YF-19 for a while now. Are they only remaking the VF-1's or will they also be remaking others like the 19?

Animeigos release of SDF:Macross got me searching on the internet for all things Macross. I am guessing it was google that took me to the SDF:Macross / Macross Plus DVD box set thread. I thought those boxes were awesome. I didnt register right away, but I have been reading ever since.
edit: Looking back at my post history, it seems like I registered because I felt compelled to give Yamato all my money. And its all your fault!

Macross Box Set - Only $39.99 while Stocks Last
Animeigo Macross Box Set (Left)
+ Superior Cover Art
+ Superior Price at Only $39.99
+ Remastered Sound
+ Perfect Subtitles with Perfect Extras
aww man this hurts I was also someone that spent over three times that price.
Anyway, is there anything different from this set then the older animeigo dvd's, besides the fact that it comes in a single box instead of three?

I think Max is the best pilot. I know shocking. But where are some of you getting this idea that he has no concern for others flying with him? I dont remember the end of M7, I kept falling asleep, but in SDF Macross he was always saving Kakizaki. Doesnt that count for something?

I guess I was a new generation fan of the old Robotech that was show on cartoon network about 6 or 7 years ago when I was in 7th or 8th grade. It was also my first taste of anime(but I did not know that at the time).

The FX version is great. The picture is very clear and the only complaint I have about the subtitles is that they translated "sempi" to "roy", which is no big deal because thats who they are refering to in the movie, or some crazy japanese symbol in one part. Its WELL worth the 13$.

ive seen this way back before too, back when i havent signed up for MacWorldForums.
good thing youve reposted it here, and in Spanking new colors too!
Moderators, we should post our Original Valk Girls Fanart somewhere in these forums...should a new thread be made?
( seems like my weekend deadline for posting the VF1 D Girls is almost over, guh! )
EDIT: I've Made my deadline after all!
enjoy!
and my next VFGirl : a VF-19 and her boyfriend
why do we need the original valk girls fanart to be in another forum? just post them here. theres no need to have multiples of these going on.
