LV1 is grey. Grey is cool.
LV2 is cool too though.
To be honest, I like my LV2 much, much more because I can actually touch them. WIth the LV1 each time I touch it is risking blowing 300+ dollars

Two DYRL pilots per weapons set.
You also get 1 spare M0 pilot from the VF-0s and VF-0a kits.
YF-19 kit gives 1 free M+ pilot assuming you build it as a one-seater.
Valk009 used to make Recast Hase DYRL pilots in Brass. The quality is just as good as the plastic kits but they are a helluva lot easier to work with since they don't snap and have some weight.

Tori NO Hito just means People the Birds, or Bird's People
Think People, with wings!!! O_o
I kind of miss Macross when it was just about Aliens with BFG's vs cool tranforming planes

Best dub imho was Clash of the Bionoids lol. Of course the lines sucked, everyone sounded like their characters. But that's just my opinion.
Clash of the bionoids Roy FTW

Megahouse looks so good in Armor mode, but in Rider mode it looks ridiculous
CM's is inbetween with a so so rider and so so armor. Smaller toy means maybe less detail and more fragile moving parts? Also the exposed screws and oversized helmets are a let-down.
However, with some putty and repainting the CM's might look pretty good, I won't know till I try it though

I honestly don't care who makes it as long as it looks good and doesn't break when a random gust of wind passes through the window
My collection has a lot of yammies but I also have a lot of small hasegawa vf-1's and chara-works vf-1s in the mix.

I came through a link from Valkyrie Factory during a bored day in college. That was like 6 years ago methinks O_o
Kinda miss the days of MW when all we had was old chunky Monkeys from the past. Now we all have new toys so everyone can be in the cool kids club
Any of you remember the 1500 dollar elints? O_o

"Duy, you have the money, why can't you buy what you want whenever you want?"
/me points at ring finger

Every unit I got in the first run required me to either:
A. Take apart the unit with a scalpel and glue it together right
B. Putty in chipped-off sections and sand
C. File off flash on pegs in order to make units fit better
D. Repaint partial sections of the models in order to cover up repairs, ior finish painting on incomplete parts (like the black canopy frames, argh!!)
Then since the decals are very glossy, after doing all the work They need a flat clear coat to take away the excess shine.
A lot of effort to make a completed model look good it's best. I wish they had been a lil more careful about the construction and painting.

Fan-Approved 1A's (angel birds and DYRL hayato) sold like crap.
The good thing is if you are going for customs you can find those two cheaper in many stores. Good Custom fodder.
Bad things is that yamato isn't going to be as optimistic about a new color scheme after hearing MW'ers say "I'd soooo buy that!!"

The only good macross item Bandai has ever made was the 1/100 VF-2ss, And it's only good because it's the only out of the box variable kit of the mecha ever made, period.
I have no expectations for even a Master-Grade vf-25 since Bandai has yet to make a good-transforming model unless you call transforming putting a shield on your head and folding your legs like you're going into missionary position or something

god damnit... I've been holding off on all teh CM's because I already had everything in slightly better looking 1/35 MG format. Now they have to bring out the Zero.....
All I ever wanted was for Bandai to finish the MG Patlabor line with the helldiver, peacemaker, av-98 economy, Saturn, AV-02, Zero proto, brocken....jeesh bandai sux

Gah! X-32 was the worst fighter in a long time. Fugly, and couldn't even hover when it was EMPTY. The F-35 at least didn't have hovering problems until they fattened it up.
X-32's failures and overall suckiness are easily explained IMHO: Boeing. Boeing's never built a fighter jet of any kind. Or even a fighter at all AFAIK. Don't expect their first attempt at a cutting edge, hovering, stealthly one to do that well. If it's not a large, high-aspect ratio jet, then Boeing's not very good at it. Few of their props were all that wonderful, and their only non-airliner jet successes are very airliner-esque: B-47 and B-52.
That may all be true, but I still like the Guppy

That magazine scan has the only pic I wanted to see before committing. The side profile looks sweet. This'll be my second 1/60 next to my YF-19 har har har >

He looks like those Gymnastics people right when they finish their routine

Ah...Anime, it's not commercially available for way too long. We have a saying, Pound the metal while it's still hot. The American Anime industry seems to always start long after it's cold and rusted. Prolly the only things companies might make money on would be Jointly released OVA's so that there's never a reason to download fansubs since the product is already commercially available locally.

I've had my WII for 6 months now and bored to death of it. Sure the motion thingy is fun and all, but it's the same as the NO-GameCube. Good game once every 5-6 months and then waiting...waiting...waiting...
I'm only holding onto it because for some ungodly reason Nintendo Snagged the Monster Hunter Franchise from Sony... I do NOT want to have to swing my controller 92340923 times to kill ratholos. Or, god forbid, make a wrong movement on the motion controller and get one-shotted by an easily aviodable attack from Fatalis or something, Monster Hunter is frustrating already as is.... though since the WII has a lanyard I can throw the controller in Anger without worrying woot

f-35? bah
I liked the x32 'Guppy' more, even if it was a gimp during the JSF competition.

Honestly I'm going to pass on these. The Legioss looks off
Prolly the best sculpt I've ever seen for Legioss was the dead John Moscato Legioss project, though that one had a lil fat nose that compromised for soldier mode. If it had a slightly longer nose it'd be unbeaten imho.
However, I AM going to pick up one of the ride armors. Then I'll fill in all the gaps with putty, smooth it out and repaint it to look less toy-like

I usually coat the sides of the stripped hole with thin coat of 5-min epoxy. After that I let it cure then everything is A-OK

In Scale Destroids (1/48 for the vf-1's)
In Scale figure kits (standing pilots in 1/48, etc)
Other support craft like the catseye
-
It's pretty simple for me. I just don't buy what I can't afford and I only buy what I actually want. At this point that only happens to be 1/48's vf-1's and the 1/60 M+ stuff. Prolly only other Macross thing I'll grab is anything from Macross Frontier

yeah, the CF is the best looking 1A out there.
BOO, LV1 = best looking 1A >
ATTN: YAMATO, START SEALING YOUR BOXES

Have the foil stickers that leave words on the package when the sticker is removed. Instead of VOID like the electronics, have it say YAMATO.
Problem solved
