noice. Casually got an order in without any beads of sweat or Bandai Shenanigans.

what's really cool is since the inbit were always experimenting and evolving new poke -inbit they can throw whatever they want into this side story for bad guys
-
Wow forgot about that. The 2083 fits in with what I translated off the website, since the 2nd reclaimation force attacks at the same time and this side story takes place during stick's trip to reflex point. I guess that design in that older promo placard could for one of the other Breaker-team members.

Looking pretty cool.
From what I can understand this is a side-story of a secret recon / intelligence unit named the Breakers that was created to scout / research the Inbit. The side story takes place at the same time Stick and co are making their way to Reflex Point so basically takes place same time as Mospeada main story.
The armor shown is a female armor and the boob sensors are thought to be some special sensors for finding inbit :p
Seems Breaker-1 is some chick named Gate, but other members are TBA (Breaker-2/3/etc)
Looks like it'll be a 1/12 ride armor toy.
I guess the nice thing is the toys won't look totally out of place next to the re-imagined Riobot Mospeada Stuff we've been getting

Making some progress on the 1/48 VF-1. Went for more of a black aces style black paint around the canopy.
-
Just pay somebody to paint it for ya. The Pilot figs have a nice rough texture so you don't really even need a primer to paint em up.

but..but..the yf-19 / yf-29 / vf-31 all have forward pointing wings so my concern isn't the aerodynamics.
However, worried about getting stress marks / breaks on that fin jutting out O_O

Luckily we don't have to deal with Bandai-levels of insane preorder madness on these suckers.

Just casually masking my canopy this afternoon

The Thirst for valks on this board is real

I actually glued my wing flaps in place with superglue because I was so sick of them moving :0

I do agree on the comment about panel lines looking pretty deep, but would have to see one in person before I made any final judgement.
One big plus for the Plamax is if it has closed landing gear bay doors included as well
-
I bet that's prolly how it would end up :/
on a side note... my DYRL SSP order was created 13 months ago at NY..... wonder what would happen if I asked them for store credit and then applied it to a TV SP order LUL

Man I really hope later on we get M&M 1J sets as tamashii web specials. Would hate to have to fight the F5 war for those.
-
The Maruyama really is the best VF-171EX. Cannon Fodder Grey + cannon fodder pilot + Sheryl artwork. what is there to hate?
-
Man I kinda miss those days. Kevin Lam of Valk Exchange and Jerry Tsai of VF1x.com. Got my first yammies from them back in the day.

paint makes the hip joints work well so i'm sure nail polish would too.
I would avoid using any fricition additives to the shoulder joints though, because the material is very soft and it's a tiny pinhead-sized ball joint.
For the knees just use some hot water to make the sides fit firmly

I think in 03 there was a website renewal and everyone who was an existing member then had their accounts transfer over which is why most the old accounts you see have a 2003 start date.

*looks at new Plamax 1/72 pics*
oh damn that looks nice!
*looks at 40+ unbuilt 1/72 hases sitting in boxes behind him*
...................maybe a pass

Making more copies of the Sentinel Legioss pilot for use as fixed-pose figures (resin is too weak for ball joints so just trimmed everything off and will be doing Paperclip Pins + super glue.)
Original is on the left, still deciding if I want to paint him as stick , or use one of the copies as a stick pilot figure instead
-
To make my shoulder move I put some WD-40 on a pin and then touched it to the joint. was able to move it after some coaxing
-
There's just a lot of things you can do with the extra size in 1/48 that you can't do in 1/60, and Bandai has much greater manufacturing capacity than Arcadia so they can tampo a 1/48 valk and sell it for 200 while Arcadia can't.
Funny enough cannot seem to remove the entire nose-section and mount it on an arm like the Yammie V2 could, just for that one episode
-
One nitpick I have about Bandai is the teeny weeny pilots
Mospeada
in Anime or Science Fiction
