  1. I wouldn't be surprised if Freedom was rebuilt into S Freedom at Morgenroter since they seem to be going back to Orb. Maybe just kept the ZGMF designation for kicks. When they re-built the Strike they didn't redesignate it with an MBF number. I kind of like the idea of Meyrin running off with Athrun, since it seems like when we do see her she's more or less playing second fiddle to Luna. Luna's the one in the red coat, Luna's the MS pilot, Luna's the one Athrun seems to notice. Maybe a little sibling rivalry has something to do with her running off with Athrun.
  2. No they just suck and like to call themselfs writers.
  3. The damn steamroller needs a new driver, it's obivious the current driver has been drinking that green sh!t that says don't operate heavy machinery on the bottle. I'd say the best Alliance strategy would be the old island hopping campaign. Isolate the major Earth bases like Carpentaria and Gibraltar while the main Alliance forces drive towards PLANT and eliminate any major space bases like Yakin Due with a full nuclear assault, or support from another class of superweapon. Isolated from support from space the terrestrial bases would wither away. While ZAFT is unbalanced from these attacks Blitzkreig further towards PLANT. The Alliance's priority should be in annihilating ZAFT not PLANT. With PLANT's means of defence destroyed the Alliance can take all the time it wants decideing what to do with PLANT. The Alliance should make full use of it's advantage in numbers and it's most likley would have supririor manucaturing facilites so they would be able to produce more Windams than ZAFT could make ZAKUs, so the Alliance should strike when they have a 10-1 advantage. Another thing the Alliance should have done since day one is develop a super nuclear missile. I'm thinking a large ICBM style missile with a hugh warhead, half these missile would have laminated armor and Phase-Shift armor making them almost invincible, and the other half equipped with mirage colloid. Apparently these guys never studied World War II and how to deal with a technologicaly supirior foe when you have the edge in numbers and manufacturing cabilites. As for Orb it's best bet would be to play both sides against the middle and work with both sides the way Anaheim Electronics does. That way if either side were to invade the opposing side would automaticaly be forced to defend them. Hey Alliance, yeah sure we'll mass produce the Astray Amuterasu for you, we also made this powerful new Gundam based on your Sword Calamity, for you to use. ZAFT, hey listen up the Alliance is going to let these things loose on you, so we made this for you guys to fight back with.
  4. What've been nice if after Minerva got back to the ZAFT Aussie base, they had a couple of real hardcore episodes of them defending against a massive EA assault to keep that base. By hardcore I mean a virtual seige, as MS are leaving the base, they get shot at and that kind of crap. That would've been interesting to watch, along with Shinn and Athrun going from point to point trying to plug up leaks desparately. A siege of Gibraltar would have been nice, I mean that base is practicaly on the Eurasian Federation's doorstep. I'm surprised they haven't annihilated that base yet. But then again I'm not since these guy apparently can't write for crap. Carpentaria should already be under Alliance occupation or at the very least parts of Australia should be under Alliance control. From the official site Operation 8/8 An Earth Alliance offensive launched on August 8, C.E. 71. The target of this operation is the PLANT-aligned Oceania Union, and its final objective is the capture of the Carpentaria Base. The Alliance's plan is to capture the northern and eastern coasts of Australia with a pincer attack, carried out by the Pacific Fleet and by the mobile suit forces dropped into the interior of the continent in the Ayers Rock Landing Operation. Ayers Rock Landing Operation The first stage of Operation 8.8, the Earth Alliance's invasion of the Oceania Union. This landing operation takes place on August 8, C.E. 71, using mobile suit forces which launch into orbit from the Victoria spaceport and then descend into the interior of the Australian continent. The Alliance is supposed to have far more numbers than ZAFT, so where the hell is the steam roller?
  5. I gave up on the realism thing way back in the first SEED during the last battle. What the hell lind of army puts a CEO in command of their most powerful battleship and of their nuclear forces?! Instead of targeting Yakin Due, GENESIS itself, or GENESIS's mirror blocks, what does he do, target PLANT. Yeah this big deathray is shooting holes in my fleet, but you know what, I'll target the enemy's home and not the thing that's currently shooting at me. Granted this is a Gundam series and anyone looking for total realism in a Gundam series is a complete idiot, but the amount of crap that doesn't make sence here is just rediculous. ZAFT should have been ran off Earth by now by the Alliance's sheer weight of numbers and now that the Alliance has it's own mobile suits they should be on par with ZAFT's forces.
  6. Then why not Katoki, the Tallgeese was a very nice suit and it was a fairly simple design, so it isn't like his stuff would be hard to animate.
  7. What I want to know is why they didn't bring Junichi Akutsu back? I still think the Strike and Astray look better than anything I've seen in Destiny.
  8. I don't know about being a turd, but the guy is certainly past his prime, it's about time the torch got passed on to someone else.
  9. Makes me think of a Zeon mobile armor for some reason, looks cool though...
  10. Actualy I'm surprised Sai didn't comeback and take his old seat in the Archangel, since he seemed the most devoted of all of Kira's friends to what he was doing. Him and Mirialia were the only one's who stuck it out to the end.
  11. Here's a loose over view of what I would have had happen... Background. The ZAFT and the Alliance continue weapons development in the interwar years. Orb sees this subtle arms race and develops their own advanced suits including Gundams. Gilbert is actualy a part of LOGOS, they send him up there to help perpeutate a war, but while he's in PLANT he gets more ambitious and decided to take over the organization. Neo is Mwu, with his memories submerged but he has occational flashbacks from the last war that he can't explain. It all comes back to him in a battle where he sees Archangel under attack and a beam is about to hit the bridge, at the last moment when it all comes back to him he deflects the beam with is Windam's shield. He joins the Archangel and gets a proper Gundam. Following the Break the World incident (engineered by LOGOS) the Alliance drafts a new treaty that makes it like the Earth Federation. Then the Alliance goes on the offensive and captures Gibraltar and smashes what ever anti-Alliance resistance movements spring up. Following LOGOS's script the Alliance "allows" ZAFT to take South America and southern North America, but instead of stopping at the Rio Grande as planned Gilbert reveals his intentions to LOGOS and moves towards Washington DC. North America itself is fairly lightly defended and Washington is taken along with most of LOGOS's members, and as the Alliance captial the Alliance is throwin into chaos as the chain of command falls apart and ZAFT gains more ground, until they control about a third of Earth's land. During all this Orb is biding it's time and finds out about Gilbert and LOGOS. The Orb leadership is torn between taking out both of them, or playing both sides against the middle. The latter side wins and Orb becomes like Anaheim Electronics, while Cagali takes her supporters and covertly fight both sides working to eliminate Djbril and Gilbert. The war enters a stalemate and Cagali on the ground works to get Djibril and Lacus in space targets Gilbert. To break the stalemate both sides roll out new Gundams and superweapons. The Alliance fires their own GENESIS at ZAFT's forces and ZAFT retaliates by dropping an asteroid in western Europe. Both Cagali and Lacus are one step away from capturing Djibril and Gilbert and the two make an announcement to the world that the whole war was nothing more than some mafia civil war. Groups from both ZAFT and the Alliance turn on their leaders and the result is a huge three way battle on Earth and in space. Gilbert is arrested by Yzak but when he refuses he's assasinated by Elieen who says trusting him was a mistake. On Earth a battle has broken out over Djibril's stronghold and as a combined Alliance and ZAFT commando team move to arrest him he activates a Cyclopes and takes them all out with him. Minerva would follow Gilbert up until the end when Gilbert is revealed to be a rouge LOGOS, it then switches over to Lacus's side and leads their forces. Archangel would get caugh in the Cyclopes blast but would survive (they were at the edge) and the damage would be beyond repair.
  12. If Shinn pulled that kind of crap on me, I'd be discharged from ZAFT the within hours and Shinn would be lucky if he would be able to walk again.
  13. Yeah I think that would be the best thing for him. Just have him and Ramius, pretty much "disappear" at the end.
  14. I still say Shinn needs to run into a situation where he runs head first into another "Shinn" that he created, the thing that Athrun's been warning him about. It could be even a ZAFT pilot who lost someone in that sub-carrier during the Minerva's first mission of the war. That pilot could blame Shinn and try to get him killed on the battlefield. I don't see how Mwu could be a Char. He's the only Destiny character I really like so I wouldn't want to see him die, but if he does, I think Ramius should go with him.
  15. Does any have a PS2 that died on them that they didn't get at launch? I had to get a second one about a year after launch and I've treated it like my b!tch and it still works. The contoler I got at launch still works too, the left stick squeaks but still working.
  16. Basicaly it all comes down to this. The writers don't know what the F*CK they're doing.
  17. Whoa, I want a plush Haro. Meyrin definatly looks better with her hair down, wouldn't mind seeing her on Archangel, they're shorthanded as it is.
  18. Bah, I was hopeing to see an upgraded Buster show up. Wonder if Andy is putting tiger stripes on his unit, and if Mwu gets the gold Murasame they better upgrade that thing with gunbarrels or at least somehow give him back his Exass when they get back into space. If Cagali is getting an upgraded unit, she's better actualy use it. I want to see the Cagali who used a Sword Skygrasper to cut a ZAFT battleship in half on her first sortie.
  19. I hope he SOMEHOW gets back into the EXASS. His Windam was a pushover. Hell I just want to see him in a unit this time that makes full use of his abilites, maybe a really souped up (read nuclear engine) Murasame with eight Exass style gunbarrels.
  20. The Yukikaze Mave looks cool, the Stealth plane looks like last night's dinner after I sh!t it out this morning (and I had the kind of Mexican food that really screws with your digestive system if you know what I mean). They're supposed to be jet fighter films. Yukikaze wins. Hey I though "vs" threads weren't allowed...?
  21. Man I don't give a crap about Kira or Strike Freedom. What's the rumors going on around Mwu right now?
  22. Since Stellar seems to have liked knives, I wonder what kind of Sword Calamity pilot she would have made.
  23. WRONG, of course she can use the Freedom version of Strike Rouge correctly. All she has to do is cry in the damn thing, there is nothing special about that. The only thing that I think is a bit lacking is the equipment. There should be a big mike in the cockpit with several dozen high powered loud speaker where the Freedom weapons are so she can share her crying with everyone who doesn't currently have a radio turned on. Or better yet... heh heh, her version of Freedom can shot little speaker pods into the enemy and then she can cry their ears out. In that case, she also need to change the control of her Freedom to a guiter. I will seriously go to Japan myself and shoot Fukuda if it comes to that.
