  1. Yes, I'm aware this has probably been discussed somewhere within the 15 gazillion NGE threads on MW. I searched, but didn't find anything so... though.

So I was wondering which set is the better one? Just by looking at the price, you would think Perfect would be the better set, since a higher price usually means better quality and features (yes, I know that's not always the case), but if you're looking for video quality with a good sub, then Platinum might be a better choice with it's remastered video, 5.1 sound and music, 100 more minutes (Death and Rebirth & End of Evangelion?), and half the price of the first set (less features?).

I'm sure many here have both and can give expert advice on which to get to someone, let's say me, who is thinking of maybe possibly eventually getting one of them.

I understand the individual Platinum DVDs have more features than the ones offered in this box set, is that true?

    Thanks all.

  2. hehe, my plan for total MW domination is starting to show some results...

Step #4; By making him think it was his idea, get Roy to make everyone "Vice" something, and before you know it, this website will no longer be known as Macross WORLD, but as ViceLAND!!!

    MOUAAHAHAHAHAA!!!

  3. E-mail Henry or Jeffrey at Hobbyfan, I'm sure they'll be happy to send you a replacement. I would advise against making up a story to get a free part though, they may ask for pictures of the "defective part", they did when I had a bad VF-4 canopy they replaced, free, because of a defect they overlooked. So be honest, they may charge you a small fee cause it wasn't their fault, or they may just be cool with you and send it free anyways because you were honest about it.

  4. Section I.: The basic don'ts of Macross World posting Etiquette.

These are typical behaviors in posting that can make the forums a mess. They may seem minor but it does interfere with keeping a well-run message board.

    Don't:

    1. Posting in the wrong forum.

    2. Make a topic about your other topic.

    3. Bump your topic every five minutes or every hour.

Bumping is okay under one of two conditions: A day has gone by since you first started the topic and, or it is no longer on the first page.

    4. Start a new topic to respond to someone else?s topic or even to your own.

    5. Use a topic title or description that doesn?t match your post?s content.

    6. Start several new topics at once.

See if there is a similar topic on the forums already about your subject before you start a new topic. If you have multiple questions group them under one topic.

    7. Make a topic about nonsense.

So I'm wondering... How many of you would be interested in a VF-1SR Attack Valkyrie (from Macross 2036) conversion kit for the Hasegawa fighter and battroid VF-1 kits?

It's still a long way off... but I'm wondering if this project would be worthwhile, or if I should pick another project from the list  :p

Yup, definitely finish this, I'll need 2.

  6. O... M... G... That is just incredible! I can't wait to have this, take it out for walks, feed it scrap Destroids...

The basic frame of the body was made largely of balsa and balsa foam, it was really really fragile,  but the body has some curves that needed to be carved and balsa and balsa foam are easy to carve....

Oh I see, I thought it was solid, like styrene and putty.

The Ugly, this thing is huge, about $250.00 worth of rubber, and the pattern was destroyed so i will be taking a low shrink "protection copy" incase i ever need to remake the mold.

I was wondering, how come the master pattern was destroyed in this process?
