  1. The canopy came out pretty good. It just needs some heat to make the fitting more precise. Some fine sanding and metal primer should make the cockpit detailing more visible. As you can see from the picture below, you'll be able to fit a 1/72 Hasegawa pilot in the cockpit. However, there's no room for the legs, so you'll need to open up some space yourself.
  2. It'll be significantly cheaper that's for sure. At least that's how it would seem to be when you compare the prices for the 1/72. There's was a short period of time in the past when I used Paypal as the payment method at HLJ. I found out that there's always a delay in getting your order sent, as they have to send out the invoice to you and they have to wait to confirm the payment once it is sent. Aside from that, I didn't have any problem with using Paypal.
  3. HLJ just updated their site! http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZX-10
  4. The Sylphid is now available at Rainbowten. I would jump on this in a heartbeat, but my preorder at HLJ since 9/17/2007 gives me an $8-9 discount . Hopefully HLJ will have it in stock and ready to be shipped soon.
  5. I usually order a large batch of Mr.Color lacquers at a time from Rainbow10.
  6. Mr.Surfacer 500 does have the tendency to cover up some of the finer details such as panel lines, that's why I use 1000. Just apply a layer of primer/surfacer so the paint can better adhere to the surface of the kit and then spray away with paints! I'm not sure what powder form surfacer leo is talking about since I've never seen or hear about it...But you won't ruin it by thinning it, just be sure to use the right thinner. Maybe you should try the spray instead of the bottle surfacer so you know how the primer will work for you. I usually order a large batch of Mr.Surfacer sprays from overseas on-line shops because it is expensive in the states and sometimes hard to find. Below are two on-line shops located in Southern California that carries some Mr.Surfacer. https://plajapan.com/index.php?cPath=24_50?...f820c3c1d449236 http://www.best1hobby.com/html/gunze/tool.html
  7. hmm mine is a 4.0 megapixel from Minolta which is a really nice camera. i got to play around with it more. any tips on how you got your Hi-Nu pics so clear? can you give me the settings that you used on yours? No specific settings, I think it's just a matter of lighting. BTW. maybe the weight on front and back of your Geara may even out once you attach both arms with weapons and shield?
  8. The camera I'm using is Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P7 3.2 MP, which is an old camera I have for around 2-3 years.
  9. I know what you meant by unstable. It collapsed on me once because I didn't tightened the screws enough. I'm currently trying to attach the back pack to see how it'll hold up. It is most certainly a lot of weight to be carrying on its back. Then again, those long fuel tanks can act as a support.
  10. Congrats on finally getting yours, Zeo-mare . Hikuro: That CD contains photos of the completed Hi-Nu made by G-sys.
  11. I've actually gone back to work on my Hi-Nu earlier today by cleaning a huge bucket containing hundreds of parts . Below is a picture of some of the parts I've put together. Thanks to those little POM joints, this kit can show off some of its details without being covered up by the armors.
