Kinda makes me wonder how this poll would do over at RT.com. Would they be completely honest or would their fanboyishness for the license prevent them from voting honestly? I checked out their forums earlier today, and one guy who bought two Alphas went so far as to say that they're 'awesome' even though he'd stated that one of his Alphas had a number of things that kept it from being as good as it could've been, while the other Alpha he got was a piece of crap. From where I'm standing, that's a 50% rating, maybe less if you count the problems on his "good" one.. that doesn't sound "awesome" to me at all. I know it's a matter of opinion and all, but gee.

I'm satisfied with my Alpha. It looks great and there are some things that I really like about it.. but I won't downplay its flaws, either.

RT.com doesn't really care if you complain about Toynami's products, just so long as you don't mention any non HG-licensed products. For example, they'll ban you for simply saying that the MPCs are crap compared to Yamato 1/48s. They don't like seeing Yamato's name on their site since HG makes no money from their products. Apparently it's in the site's rules and regulations, so they banned me. Or maybe it was because I called them fascists (and many other colorful and vulgar names) when they removed my original post. HG can eat my shorts and ask for seconds.

The bidder "macrossrevge" is likely the same person as "misaly". This is the friend of one of Alex's other victims. He's probably just screwing with Alex and would never pay, since he's bid on the two most expensive items. Using "misaly" he tried the same thing with "collector1118", but Alex cancelled his bids due to a -1 feedback rating.

I, of course, e-mailed "macrossrevge" to warn him, just in case he's actually a potential buyer. But I imagine he won't buy the items. Why bother to bid when it's the same price as Buy It Now? The only other option is it's Alex doing a little shill-bidding.

And scand, I used collector1118@bellsouth.net to pay via PayPal. The account was verified and at the time I purchased my items, the "collector1118" had only one negative feedback. Of course after I paid, the others negatives got posted.

Recently a buyer named "simikon" bought a VF-11B from this seller and had a negative experience. I contacted him and let him know what was up, that "collector1118" and "johnthomas1951" are likely the same guy.

He asked me for any information that may be helpful, so I gave him every phone number, home address, and e-mail address I accumulated during my dealing with "collector1118". I also gave him the mother's information since he'll probably need to contact her, as well.

I also told him that he should ask eBay to investigate immediately before the seller bolts to another ID. EBay would do nothing in my case because Alex cancelled the "collector1118" ID, but since I got my money back, I don't care.

However, I have made it my personal mission to keep a keen eye on this loser's transactions. I have been trying to help any and all others who got shafted by this jerk since before he started exclusively using "johnthomas1951".

I've got some vacation time in a couple weeks and I may go to Florida and find him so we can play a fun game of "The Cattle-prod Doesn't Go Up There" before I leave him in the Everglades to frolick with the alligators. But that's just me; I'm mean to people who mess with me, especially when money is involved.

Long answer... Supplies of several models are running low. Many places are sold out. This causes the dealers who still have stock to raise their prices, which sucks, but hey, it's capitalism, remember?

I have been known to get a little nutty with my budget for 1/48s (oh, who am I kidding - I'm a sick freak for these suckers) and have almost single-handedly driven up the price. I apologize, folks, but they're just so friggin' cool! I need a 12-step program for my 1/48 addiction!
