  1. ^^^ Also as important, don't pre-order stuff outside of the 90 day feedback window for eBay. I bet he screwed over quite a few.

    Good luck though.

If Toynami wouldn't have kept pushing back the release date of the Alpha, I could've at least left feedback. Guess I got screwed twice on the same deal. Thanks, toyzz_4_u and Toynami! You both suck!

  2. Go ahead and add the eBay seller known as "toyzz_4_u" to the Blacklist. His real name is Mark Garcia and he's from Georgetown, Texas. I paid for an MPC Alpha back when it was still a pre-order and this loser has made no effort to make good on our deal. I've e-mailed him several times and received only a couple of replies (which told me nothing about the status of my item) and he's ignored my attempts to contact him by phone. I've filed a complaint against him with the IFCC, but was unable to leave feedback on eBay because it's been so long since I purchased the item. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this jack-ass.

    ***UPDATE***

I would like to give a big "Thank you" to Det. Sgt. Ron Price of the Georgetown, TX police for getting involved in this case and helping to secure my refund from this seller. My IFCC complaint paid off and I got back my money. Now I feel like a two-time winner since I have my cash and don't have an Alpha.

  3. I lived over a car painting facility can it be the cause of the yellowing?

Maybe the fumes just seeped into the color-recognition center of your brain and you only perceive it as being yellowed. The chemicals in automotive paint will mess with your head.

  4. How about we start slow and get some canopies and bigger hands... there's room enough in the forearms for bigger articulated hands...

I could go for that. I'm not really fond of either the chicken hands or the TV hands. I've found that most of my chicken hands are pretty loose and wimpy. It doesn't help that they aren't sculpted well enough to hold the gun with any real strength. And TV hands look too cheesy. I don't care that they have to be removed for fighter mode, I think they just plain don't look good. They're too organic-looking for a mecha, in my opinion. A stronger, fully articulated pair of hands would be quite welcome, even if they don't allow for perfect transformation.

But I still want all the other stuff, too.

  5. How can the cylons have the technology to make synthetic humanoids yet only be able to make just 12 different models or was it 7?

I'm sure they have the ability to make more models, but why waste the resources? That's a wide-enough selection of humanoids. They probably prefer to build more Centurions and those sweet new Raiders.

I liked both the new and old BG. I hope the new series is well-received. I'll watch it even if no one else will.

  6. But I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, 'coz after all they're the ones who gouged the prices on their 1/48 ROY's.

Actually tisinc's raised prices on most of the 1/48s he's got in stock. I think the only ones he hasn't increased yet are the TV Super VF-1Js. I know he's getting $175 for the Hikaru VF-1S now. The Hikaru VF-1A and Hikaru VF-1J have both gone up like $5 each.

  7. Personally, I think it's pretty fugly. I'm glad there's only three; those are too nasty to spread around. They may as well have made them Pepto Bismal pink or baby-puke yellow.

As far as a possible eBay auction is concerned, I would expect the price to be outrageous. And I wouldn't be surprised to see counterfeit ones pop up. Hopefully the real ones have some kind of certificate of authenticity.

And how would you go about panel-lining it? LOL!

  8. Here's a quick update on my personal situation with JT70 aka johnthomas1951 aka collector1118 aka mechafreak aka Alex and/or Peter Medina, etc. I paid for three 1/48 valks; two Low-Viz, one Focker. After waiting three weeks and having to contact his mommy (who shared the collector1118 ID with him), he actually shipped me a valk. Only one valk. It was a Hikaru VF-1A. Hell, it wasn't even MIB; someone had filled in the panel lines. I returned this to him after his mother sent my refund. I paid the return postage, so technically I lost some money just by dealing with this @$$-clown.

Now, back using his collector1118 ID, he's e-mailing me saying he never received it. He's accused me of stealing that P.O.S. Funny, theft is his specialty, not mine. Maybe this is another of his scams: "I never received the item you returned; send me another." Not gonna happen.

I sent it to the address I have for Alex Medina, but since no one really knows if that's his real name, it may not have gotten to him. Personally, I don't care if he gets it. He'd probably just try to pawn it off as MIB using pics stolen from another auction. I won't buy anything from him ever again, regardless of what identity he's using.

  9. You'll all notice that JT70 has not posted here (not just this thread, but the entire forum) since I busted him twice in as many days. That was over two weeks ago and he has not spoken up in defense of himself. I know he's seen our recent comments since he was looking at this thread earlier today. At least arafag tried to defend himself a little (using another ID to add himself to the SSL was a classy move). Sadly, JT hasn't been that entertaining.

And just for the record, both JT70 and arafat209 are affiliated with New Jersey. Flemington and Paterson are only about 60 miles apart, so I just wonder if they might be related in some way? Maybe one's Peter and the other Alex (or whatever their real names are), or their cousins or something? Or it could simply be coincedence. Chances are they're just both genetically pre-disposed to be scumbags due to decades of inbreeding and inadequate parental guidance. Yeah, that makes the most sense.

Cousins and siblings shouldn't go past third base.

  10. Are we also talking about the same Jontom that's in this site and requesting to purchase a valk booster from Monkey_N? Sorry if I missed something, I didn't read the entire thread.

    Good question.

Has another ID been added to the list? I'm not going to make that accusation. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about him buying anything (although JT70 did back out of buying a Low-Viz from Wray). His problem is the selling part. He's more of the "take your cash/send you crap" kind of guy. In my case it was "take my money/send me nothing but lies and BS for over a month". His mommy had to refund my money before I got the law involved.

Maybe time will tell if they are one and the same. We all know JT70 would never fess up to his actions. After all, he's over 30 years old and $1000+ in debt to his mother for the refunds she shelled out to cover his fraudulent activities. He's on a real path to greatness, following in the footsteps of arafat209, toward the title of "World's Worst Scam-Artist".

  11. It's been a while since anyone has added to this thread, but I couldn't resist. Our very own JT70, aka johnthomas1951 on eBay, has recently received more poor feedback from the buyer known as c_dazzle.

It seems that JT has sold a couple more damaged, opened, painted, incomplete Yamato 1/48 valks that he had listed as MISB. This is the third time in less than a month, as vincentanime told me his was also not MISB. I asked him to leave negative feedback, but he didn't want JT to do the same.

Well guess what, c_dazzle left one neutral and one negative feedback and received two negative feedbacks from JT. What's nice is JT says he alledgedly got no response when he offered a refund. And he even gave c_dazzle about five hours to respond. How generous and patient of you, JT. Personally, I must doubt the validity of JT's comments since he has already proven himself to be a lying fraud and an all-around scumbag on the scale of arafat209. Nice job, JT! Keep reachin' for those stars!

By the way, isn't it about time this jackass changed his handle again (both here and on eBay)? I wish he hadn't cancelled his collector1118 ID before ybwong and I could leave feedback. It would've made for some interesting reading, especially the comments I'd have left.

  12. I see that some of you use Castrol Super Clean to remove paint from your valks. I have a couple of questions. First, I was wondering if this discolors the white plastic at all? Second, how well does it get paint out of panel lines? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  13. Back in the day, the "Robotix" sets were pretty cool. You know, kinda like a cross between a plastic Erector set and Legos with octagonal connection points. They also had electric motors for making toys with motion and had G.I. Joe-sized action figures. Each set had all the stuff to make several different vehicles, weapons, etc. If you had them all, you could make some pretty crazy stuff.

  14. ack! $275 for 1st editions Roy's?!?

    1/48 Roy

Wow! He had 'em listed at $250 last night (and actually sold one)! What a difference a day makes, huh?

Just noticed he hasn't yet changed the price on his store site. Still $250 there, so if you're quick, you can save $25.
