  1. Ok one the Macross Compendium the Chronology.......

they dont list the second series..... not the one with macross but after macross?

the (UN Tanks (forgot what these were called) and 3 cloned aliens..... (forgot what they were called)

then the next series the INVID with the motorcycle suits.....

what happen to these series on the timeline????? are these after Macross 7 or something????? Im confused.... The Official Macross site seems not to have any information on these series either..... what happen to them??? did a different company make these series or something?

Someone once said that there are no stupid questions.

They have now been proven wrong.

  2. Note that "Viva Maria" refers to Maria, Max and Milia's daughter. Robotech makes it even easier to get confused because the same episode is titled "Viva Miriya" in RT (if I recall correctly).

Anyway, remember that in theory the name Milia is Zentradi. Zentradi gets transliterated in Japanese using katakana, but in the official English spellings it contains both R and L. E.g. "Regult", "Queadluun Rau", "Glaug", etc.

But shouldn't they have entitled it "Viva Komilia" instead? Komilia Maria Fallyna Jenius is how Miria (this is how I spell it, regardless of accuracy) introduces her to the Zentradi.

And to add fuel to the fire, is it Komilia, Komillia, Komiria, or Komiriya? LOL! Just kidding!

  3. The two Ls was started by someone around here.

That can't be true. In episode 30, Max is shown wearing an apron that reads "Max and Millia", with two "L"s. Of course the English translation on my Animeigo discs refer to that particular episode as "Viva Maria", so I can see why there's confusion on the subject.

  4. Based on what I've read so, I don't know if I can justify spending anywhere near MSRP for this (same for the Max Q-Rau). Yamato's QC standards are already flaky at best, and the Monster's minor engineering flaws only make it less inviting.

Yeah, I'm a valkaholic and it looks cool, but I know I'd transform it once and then leave it displayed in Battroid mode forever. Of course, this means I'd have to get a pair of plexiglas heel blocks so it would stand up straight like in Yamato's early stock photos. You can't kill the enemy staring at the ground! Leaning is a sign of weakness, soldier! Sound off like you got a pair! What the f*** is your major malfunction, numbnuts!? Oh... sorry about that Gunney flashback-induced rant.

Anyway, hopefully more people receive their Monsters soon. Maybe we'll all find out that the one Graham's got is the exception, not the rule.

  5. Check it out! Castle Wolfenstein, the early years! Beta testing, maybe? That last line of the description cracks me up!

"Frankly, we think it was foolish of the Krauts to allow us free run of their so-called top security prison in the first place but we imagine, like so many German waiters, zey ver only taking orders."

  6. I can only assume that Tony Twist really, really needs the money. He retired from hockey several years ago and, at least for a short time, worked as a hockey analyst for ESPN. If it weren't for the fact that he was one of the biggest goons in modern hockey, no one would even remember him. He wasn't very skilled in the facets of playing the game, but he could beat the crap out of anyone on the ice. Way to waste the time and resources of our judicial system with a moronic and utterly needless lawsuit, Tony Twist! I see you're still an arrogant ass!

  7. Sorry, Yamato never released a 1/60 DYRL Hikaru VF-1S, only a DYRL 1A. We've all had to head-swap or repaint a Roy. Check the "For Sale" section. ObiJ has listed a 1/60 TV Hikaru VF-1J Super and a 1/60 VF-1J GBP. I don't know if they're still available, so you'll have to PM him. Good luck with your quest.

  8. DARTHTODD is the man! He hooked me up with a great price on a 1/60 Miria VF-1J Super Valkyrie and topped it off excellent communication and super-fast shipping! Thanks so much!

**Note** More mad props for the awesome deal he gave me on the other 1/60 Yammies I bought! Thanks again!

  9. Wow. Another needless big-budget remake.

It's been a long, long time since anyone in Hollywood had an original idea, but maybe Speilberg will put a twist into the plot. Like the aliens are E.T. and his flat-headed, long-necked cronies. Several million have been hiding on this planet in stuffed animal collections across the globe until they were ready to strike. When their leader, Alf, arrives from Melmac and begins transmission of another needless talk-show, the squat bastards rise up and begin their reign of terror. They don't fly around in ships, but ride in milk crates strapped to the handlebars of bicycles driven by human children taken as slaves. They ride around the suburbs melting their targets with laser beams from their glowing fingertips until they find their objective: Reese's Pieces, which the flat-heads eat not for their peanut-buttery goodness, but for the strong narcotic effects to their flat little brains. A rag-tag group of survivors, led by Cruise, band together and initiate a daring plan to save Earth using re-colored M&Ms to "bum out their high". Do I smell an Oscar?

    Nope, just poop.

  10. Misa`s Revenge!

This picture makes me feel dirty. It's a good thing!

OMG! I just quoted Martha Stewart! Now I feel dirty and it's NOT a good thing!

  11. ...gps is too 80's look for my taste.

Nothing wrong with an 80s look. Now please excuse me while I comb my mullet and go for a drive in my IROC Z28.

    lol!

though i really hope you don't drive an IROC or even worse a disgus-tang. :p

LOL! No, it's just a joke. It'd be nice to have a sports car, but I drive a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SE. Could've gotten a 2000 Trans Am for around the same price, but the insurance would've been about three times as much.

And I don't have a mullet; all my hair is long, not just the back! With my goatee, I've got the whole "Evil Jesus" look going. ~ gives the Ronnie James Dio devil horns with both hands ~

  12. In my experience, Takatoys' stickers are the way to go. This is in comparison to the stock Yamato stickers, only. Though I have a few sets of Anasazi's waterslide decals, I have yet to try them.

The Takatoys' are thinner and can easily be pushed into panel lines. The printing is also much clearer than Yamato's. Another plus for Takatoys' is that they aren't as shiny as the stock stickers. Having to cut them by hand is a non-issue for me since I also trim the excess material from the stock Yammie sheet. In fact, trimming the Yamato stickers is more difficult since they are already die-cut and the waste tends to want to roll up and get in the way.

But heed hirohawa's advice and do not touch the adhesive side of the Takatoys' stickers. The slightest amount of oil from your skin will greatly reduce their ability to stick, especially on curved surfaces. Also keep your knife blade, tweezers, etc. clean or you may experience a peeling problem where the adhesive touched your tool (no, not that tool, perverts).

    Good luck.

P.S. Here's a link to see Takatoys' Alpha stickers, though he doesn't have them ready to sell just yet.

  13. Look at this. Either this is extremely yellowed, or Matchbox accidentally released an SDF-1 molded in the wrong color!

    No doubt discoloration:

    RoboTech9.jpg

Yeah, I was just kidding. But that's probably the worst yellowing I've ever seen. I wouldn't pay more than like $10 for something in that poor of condition.

Anyway, check out the price on this MPC Ben Dixon. Talk about overpricing to avoid eBay fees!

  14. I like it! For your first time with an airbrush, I'd say you've got quite the talent. But in the future, you may want to sand the underside of the chestplate a bit so you don't get the paint scraping off the top of the heatshield. Regardless, I must bow down to your superior skills. Keep it up and keep posting the pics!

  15. He's already on the SSL and he damn well deserves to be! Thanks to fulcy for the spectacular job on my hollow VF-1S head lasers! The only way they could be better is if they actually shot laser beams! I'm definitely hoping for the J and A, as well! Time to get off my lazy @$$ and work on that custom!
