  1. can we see a pic of this naked valk (valk porn)? hehe
  2. I think I'm gonna hold off til there are way more episodes to watch. I can't stand seeing one or two episodes and having to wait a month or two for the next tid bit.
  3. Cool. I managed to get a ps1 dev system a while back for free when the psx went out of style. They had stacks of them in storage and my friend's boss over at Midway let me have one. Hopefully when ps2 fades, I can get one of those too for that special price
  4. Is this game coming out in the US? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=27256
  5. I did the crappy custom in the box (It's made from those old carded 1/55 bootlegs). The 1/55 in the center is by mlszz (Mike) and the 1/55 on the right was done by another customizer (..name escapes me at the moment). The smaller VF-1D is from a bandai HCM 1/72 VF-1J and it was done by Rick the Hunter.
  6. uno mas... Back of the box next to an HCM VF-1D custom (valk by RTH)
  7. Custom VF-1D box finally arrived! Awesome way to hold a 1/55 custom.
  8. I saw that movie at the San Diego Asian Film festival. Pretty good w/ nice special f/x. It came out in 2002 I believe so the dvd is available. I got a copy of it from pokerindustries.com
  9. It's very rare that someone gets me a toy even though they know I'm really into that stuff. Because of this, people I know who have even a slight interest in toys, I hook'em up. Forked over quite a few 1/60 yammies for x-mas and b-days. Sometimes letting them go is hard, but their appreciation more than makes up for it.
  10. I get multiples too and keep one MISB. The MISB one is my little "insurance" piece in case some clumsy fool (like myself) breaks it. If a valued yamato broke 10 yrs from now, it may be harder and more expensive to replace.
  11. Either the GBA or SEGA Nomad. Anybody try the PC-Engine emulator on a GameParc handheld? The idea of running emulators on it sounds attractive.
  12. OMG! Someone has the FM-Towns Marty! I was thinking of that console when posting here, but I just couldn't remember the name. Awesome stuff, man. I always wanted to check out that system. You wouldn't happen to have any pics, would you? Also, did WonderDog ever get ported to that system? Just wondering if it had any improvements over the Sega version. Here ya go sir. All this talk about old skool console gaming on MW lately got me to dig out some systems and give them a whirl. Ah the good ol' days of 2d... I'm not sure about wonderdog on marty, wasn't too amazing by the sega cd(?) version.
  13. Don't really play console games much anymore (mostly pc now). But from memory, the systems I loved the most growing up was the 8bit Family Computer / Nes and the home cartridge NEO GEO. FC/Nes had a large library of games with plenty of play value at a reasonable price. The NEO was raw arcade power. Playing it in my own living room left me breathless as a kid. =] I would give honorable mention to Vectrex, Super Famicom/SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis/CD, PC-Engine/CD/Duo/Express, Amiga computers (maybe not a console but oh well, it ruled), SEGA Saturn, Gameboy, SEGA Nomad, Dreamcast and as much as I hate to admit it... PS1&2. Although the playstation family has an utter grip of crap games, it has enough good titles to make it's mark in history.
  14. Actually, I have an FM-Towns Marty system. It was pretty cool for it's time, however games were very hard to get. Had to go by an import shop which was very costly. I also remember the Konix system and Tiger's Game.com handheld. I've been collecting game systems domestic and import since vectrex/odyssey/intellivision/ataris/etc. A lot of these so called "worst" systems people list here actually have a "handfull of good" games imho... but that's either because it's just my opinion or people don't know what was available for that particular platform. Probably the biggest dissapointment in my opinion was the SuperGrafx and NEC PC-FX. Both systems had enormous potential in their day however hand EXTREMELY limited software. The SuperGrafx only had about 5 games released for it. The only ones I cared for were 1941 and Ghouls n Ghosts. The only thing that made it somewhat useful beyond that was that it played standard PC Engine Hucards. The PC-FX mostly had hentai/rpgs. Very few games for people who couldn't read kanji. Not too far behind I'd list the Pippin. Had a few edutainment games and a poor gundam game or so. However, I'd have to give some props to the Mega-CD (segaCD), any Neo Geo, Atari Lynx, Jaguar and Amiga CD32 (I'm an old skool amiga user). Japan had great games for Mega CD. It's just that here in America that we have this FMV CRAP for hicks. Neo CD (once loaded, hehe) ran games great and with enhanced sound, however yeah load time sucks. But hey, you want a neo geo game for cheap? That's what you get. At least you can play burned neo cd games. Atari Lynx had great multiplayer connect options, arcade true interpretation of ninja gaiden, xenophobe (old arcade favs). Jaguar had this game I used to play quite a bit.. power drive rally (reminded me of this game on amiga called super cars). Amiga CD32 was a quick and easy way to play "amiga style" games w/o having to lug out the old computer and monitor.
  15. Ouch that looks like a REALLY unstable place to put ur yammies!
  16. When you quantify the dollars and think they're just toys it blows your mind... and to think there are even "crazier" collector's out there lurking in the shadows...
  17. beautiful work. As soon as unicron came out in the US, I was thinkin.. someone's gotta customize this thing... the coloring is horrible. Maybe after you get some practice panel lining, you could try some lines on this figure. That would look amazing.
  18. I loved the Dorvack toys. No chance of any bootleg chinese dvds of this series?
  19. Yes the 1/48 is probably the best valkyrie toy hands down. However I just can't get over people saying that they'll dump their bandai 1/55s and or their 1/60s. I was shocked to hear Graham dump his Bandai Elint after getting the Yamato. I've got a some 1/48s next to 1/55s, 1/60s and HCM 1/72s on display and I like'm all. I like each type in it's own way. Each one was awesome in its time (to me will always be great) and represents an era of the Macross hobby. I dunno... it kinda feels like dissing the greatness of your ancestors ( lol ). I suppose I'm a completist. I find some beauty in all things Macross. I'm also just greatful that such things exist and having the means to acquire them.
  20. my most prized possesion is either my car or my arcade machine collection. I would place my toys a good 2nd.
