Course, I'm not a huge fan of ALL Eastwood westerns, but all the Sergio Leone films with Eastwood were brilliant. The spaghetti westerns...yummy! The guy walked away from a lucrative hollywood career when WWII started and flew B29 bombers in combat, only returning to film when the war ended. Still may not like him as an actor, but that story is just amazing. Thanks for telling me that. I never guage my like of someone's acting to their personal life, now I think Arnold is the greatest person AND the greatest actor, but there are many actors where I like their acting, but not them as people at all. Johnny Depp for example, guy is a fukin commie, and should die for his beliefs, however I like him on screen.

Before I got my M3, I went to look at a 308 at the local Ferrari dealer, it was way cheaper than my M3. I told the sales guy I was going to drive it every day. He told me if I did that I would pay at least 15k per year in maintainence. He said in his thick Italial accent "Old Ferrari cars are double cursed, you have old technology, and you pay as much to maintain it as you would with a new one." Then he said, "I work with Ferrari, my Father worked with Ferrari, he started the dealership, but when I need to get somewhere I drive my Toytoa."

I would have liked TF the movie more if that were the end, what pissed me off was trying to continue after that. If the whole thing had ended there, then Prime's death wouldn't have been in vain... But with the way they left it was just no big deal and they made Hot Rod the replacement.

Never thought much of Swingers, I was hoping for couple swaping I guess, I think that stuff is funny.

He would and he has. He has stated his films and influence is exaggerated by the media. However, it's hard for any filmmaker to seperate from that when they are the "IT" in the industry. The reason Tarantino has such a rabid following is the fans who identify with him. Like Kevin Smith and Robert Rodriguez, Tarantino is seen as a geek-done-good. Fans of obscure, not-so-great genre films think of him as one of their own, a fellow film nerd who truely "understands" the fans and film. Praise for directors like Tarantino, Smith, and Rodriquez is also a form of rebellion against the establishment of Hollywood. These are maverick directors, working their way up from outside the system, against the norm and laughing in the face of accepted rules (Rodriquez's infamous DGA fiasco is one example). Such directors become symbols of opposition against such "high film art elitism" embodied by Studio/Academy favorites like Clint Eastwood or Steven Spielberg. HAHA, did anyone ever tell you that was good!? Ironically when I went to college I thought the fraternity system would be similar to that movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. My Fraterntiy was not only the best at sports (we won all the athletic events) but we had the best grades by an entire grade point over the next fraternity. There was no "all nerd" Fraternity. I mean there were some fraternities that were full of like ugly dudes who played D&D all the time, but they weren't smart at all.

Knockin on Tarintino... I think people often beat up on him because some of his fans seem to think he is like the greatest film maker ever, but I think even he would say thats a mis-understanding of what he is going for. He is just trying to entertain us, he isn't trying for awards, or recognition or anything else. Think of the name of the movie "Pulp Fiction"... He may as well have named the movie "Random stuff and things".

So... How do the municipal unilities run in Candy Land? Are they privatized, or state employees?

Not many women can take that movie, I love it though. That movie made the song "I'm singin in the Rain," a cool song.

If you put together all the drugs in all the world and took em all at once that movie STILL would make no sense.

I liked bullitt.. The acting was good, the car chase scene was good for the time the movie was made, which is really unfair to compare with Ronin... I didn't think the movie was awesome or anything though. As far as cop movies go, any Dirty Hary movie beats it.

Its open for interpretation... I was thinking like older movies when I started the thread, but I would definately consider movies like the Bourne series instant "classics" so it doesn't really matter.

You Pulp Fiction haters are crazy.. That movie makes me think of my testicles... Because its so awesome just like they are.

Oooooooo. I just thought of another one. Rosemary's Baby. For years people told me it was "like the scariest thing ever," and "obviously Satan had a hand in the movie's creation," or "the movie itself is so evil you will be scared by watching it." Now I LOVE movies about the Devil, but let me tell you, if that movie showed what the Devil's worst is, I hope I go to hell as I will most certainly take over when I get there. This movie is SO boring, SO anti-climactic, and SO long.
