Does anyone know if there's a way procure the destroid detail kits without going to the show or waiting for them appear on Yahoo Japan?

I'm wondering the same thing, upgrade sets shouldn't be a Wonderfest only thing.

What were in the destroid detail parts?

I'd say that would be a great beginner kit. I was my first kit when I was getting back into Macross modeling in 1999.

Still waiting on the canopies. In the meantime, I'm going to pack up therest of the kits and start sending them out so that you guys can at least get started.

Very Interesting and very well executed... a friend of mine's dad served on the Princeton as well during that time period; I built a SH-34 for him (but I haven't delivered it yet.) Its not the exact squadron... I've also since lost the door and am trying to find a replacement.

I'm assuming that's the same 1/72 kit I have from Italieri, I can send you the door if you like. I don't plan on building mine, I bought it just for reference.

Yeah I presented it to him, he flew up to my place so he couldn't take it with him. That gives me more time to add details. It brought up a lot of emotions for him, i.e., beeming with pride that I'd spent so much time and effort creating this for him to such precise detail (he's a mechanical engineer) but also remembering being 19 and seeing the flight deck lined with black body bags etc...

It's really cool, hopefully if they went through the trouble of getting the license and producing it they would refine the model a bit and make it look more like the animation.

Thans guys! I've got about 500 hours into it. I'm still gonna add some more details. It's a gift for my father, this was his ship in Vietnam.
