  1. The use of DYRL isn't a sign of the movie's canonicity at all. It's just reusing a popular song. Grace used it because it was horribly ironic. It could have been Holy Lonely Light fer crying out loud.

And let's just bask in it again...

    Bug stompin MDE barrage.

    Ahhh. **** yeah.

yeah guys you are forgetting that Do you remember love doesn't have magical powers, it was just composed for the movie in 2031 and the real Minmay that boarded the Megaroad never sang it . Is like thinking that the theme song of the movie Titanic was actually play in the real ship...

  2. The liner notes mention Yot-chan being the manager. On the album itself, there's a Nyan Nyan ad that is distrubingly similar to the Nyan Nyan ad from Miss D.J.

In the Miss D.J. ad, they mention their goal of opening 38 stores. Something tells me they did a little better than that...

assuming it is not one per deep space colonization fleet.

  3. I think it was mentioned in Macross 7 Docking Festival -Singing Saves the Galaxy!? Drama Album.

About it becoming the biggest restaurant franchise in the galaxy post SW-1.

Yotchan or Yoshio being the general manager of it. The kid with Minmay on the first ep of Macross,

I think it was the only restaurant franchise that survived SW-1, like Taco Bell in Demolition Man

  4. Where are you getting the 8 children thing from? Max and Milia only have 7. It's only 8 if you count the girl from M3 that they adopted.

yeah cause adopted kids don't count as part of the family ^_^ j/k

I would have assume that Max just went lets make a baby seven times. they had to repopulate Earth after all.

  5. Are they fighting over a Magic deck?

Good to see you're making the best of a bad axe with that turret.

I need to redo my Prime and photograph him. I have my own theories about the axe.

it is not a deck, just cards that were laying there... i have them all over my room.

I am not that happy with the ax but i am not interested in buying the battle damage optimus vs megatron to get the more cartoon correct ax.

It was just a quick photo, I like the pose i put Megatron but not like the arm position of Prime, the shoulder articulation is very limited when the figure is holding the ax with both hands.

  6. Hey RichterX, being a little sarcastic there...... <_< Or are we just making it clear that a VF-171 is a no-brainer and must have for ones collection if they made it.

The VF-171 is a beautiful fighter and is a no brainer to make a toy of one as it has now the custom Alto and Luca paint, the canon fodder Frontier fleet colours, the EX variant colours plus the pack enhancement. ^_^

  7. Didn't his VO actor die like a couple years after DYRL?

That might be why you don't see him.

The voice actor died in 1985, pull this from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiji_Kanie

"Eiji Kanie (蟹江栄司, Kanie Eiji; November 21, 1941-October 13, 1985) was a seiyuu born in Tokyo. He is most remembered for being the first voice of Ramenman in Kinnikuman and for playing Vrlitwhai Kridanik in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. He died in 1985 of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. After his death, Banjou Ginga replaced him as Ramenman.

Years later, Ryūzaburō Ōtomo would play Vrlitwhai Kridanik in the Macross and Super Robot Wars video games."

  8. I can see Alto wrecking alot of things actually. Its too bad that they won't show a true version of the 24. I am a big fan of the 25 armored anyways though so its not too big a deal to me.

I think the YF-24 went kaput like the YF-21, they just used the prototype and jump to the following designation. The chances of us seeing a VF-24 are as likely as seeing a VF-21 in an anime.

  9. Well, to give you ideas, Macross 25 is the 55th large-scale, super-long-distance colonization fleet. So there's 54 colonization fleet before Frontier, which 24 of them are New Macross class, and 13 of them are Megaroad class. They usually are self-dependent, and with good reason: with the fold faults, traveling from Earth to another colonization fleet takes way too long the time, although research about fold booster that bypass the faults is being tested by LAI, and used by Micheal to reach Galia 4. No info is given, as far as I recall, if the colonization fleet have constant communication with Earth, although I think they wouldn't do that too often.

Macross 7 was the 37, considering it was also the 7th New Macross fleet that make 29 fleets between the Megaroad class ships and the New Macross class ships, considering they had 13 ships of the Megaroad that leaves 16 unaccounted main escort ships, It is possible that some fleet didn't had a giant main ship or it could be the 16 ships were fleet escorts SDF class like the Macross and Global.

  10. nope, far as i know, the protoculture didn't live "under the ocean". that island was above sea-level. the earth-dwelling protoculture sunk it to hide it from the zentraedi eons ago before they left.

Also considering the shifting of the continents it could be possible that the city originally was like an island in a lake or in the middle of the super continent and due to millions of years of continental drift.
