Are the vajra the ones shooting those blue/red laser beams of death behind the giant ranka..thing, or is it something else..?
Vajra "battleships" and other troops.
I would have really like to see Alto's fighter blow up when Ranka said the "I love you so" part of the song.

When the bridge bunnies described the fold network, they mentioned the center of it would be amplified and would dominate over the other nodes of the network. Right now, the queen is the center of the network with Ranka acting as a medium so Grace can interface with it. Her final agenda would be to kill the Queen and take her place, essentially becoming the ruler of the entire galaxy.
The baby has the same hair color as Sheryl and the note said she was given the earrings by her mother. Lets not make wild assumptions here.
She would basically become the Borg queen and all humanity in the galaxy just one more voice in a collective mind.
-
as for what happened to sheryl's mother? no, surprisingly i'm not interested as much. wouldn't care less if she's never identified, or if she simply died of natural causes. i'm just happy that sheryl nome is REALLY sheryl NOME, not just an unidentified kid with a fabricated identity.
Ok i have to mention this just in the hopes to crash your dreams but...
what if the photo of the the baby is the original Sheryl Nome, but Grace killed her and all relatives of Mao just for revenge and then gave the name Sheryl Nome to that random orphan she found.

Yeah... good point. Also the pacing leading up the final battle certainly doesn't feel rushed compared to Macross or Macross 7 IMO

could be worst, like Macross Zero episodes 4 and 5, many of us felt an episode was missing between them...
addition:
I wouldn't be surprised if Kawamori decides to end Frontier with the Chewbacca defense...
-
no worries, this is not an obligation, everyone has other things to do to, we appreciate your dedication.

*sigh* Alto didn't burst into flames.
his fighter did and I am happy enough with it, it was possible I would have wanted Ozma to punch him every single episode like how he did in episode 2
-
I wonder if the people that are hoping for a lot of explaining in the last episode and a definite conclusion have seen all the previous work before it.

If anybody is wondering, Vector Prime is repainted to homage The Last Autobot from the G1 Marvel comic.
Wasn't Vector Prime designed based on The Last Autobot?

I was at Toys R' Us today on a whim, since it was near a restaurant I met a friend for lunch at. Universe Unicron is out!
price?

Think its the 1/72 that was released recently...
At least it is not the Lego prototype

I think you guys are forgetting the most important part when analyzing the album scene...
Is that a final production 1/60 Bandai VF-25F?
-
He saw that brief flash of Ranka "crucified", and you know his (personal) mission was to get in there and save her. This is much easier to do if Brera and Grace think he's dead. My guess is he wasn't even in the cockpit.
I rewatch the scene, and there is a considerable amount of time between he getting hit first time, the fighter going around the carrier and Klan's help. it is also odd that he didn't fire when coming back from going around the carrier. Still the only thing we can be sure is that he ain't dead.
-
You know, I don't even think Alto is in the cockpit at the point he is shot. He flies behind the wrecked ship, Klan takes on Harmonica, and then we see Alto's 117 fly back into the picture with no shot of Alto in the cockpit (come on, we ALWAYS get a shot of the pilots in the cockpit, yelling and being all gar and stuff), it gets shot (still no shot of Alto reacting), and it flies up and away and blows up.
Forget him bailing after he's shot, dude wasn't even in the 117 when it get nailed.
I believe he ejected, but not before the shot, after all the Battle frontier control would have known he abandoned his fighter, and they said that Sagittarius-1 (his call name) was hit. Also abandoning your fighter at the middle of battle? kinda odd.
-
A minor nit-pick - When Ozma was shown in 11 years ago flash back, he should be flying something older, not VF-171. It was only 2048, a few years after Macross 7 & VF-X time and before the VF-X2 time.
And I don't think Alto is now a ghost on the net. Otherwise he would take over Grace's body to rescue Ranka, and then tell her - "My final dream has come true! Now I finally have a woman's body!".
It looks like a TRIIP to me... whatever it means you guys are just over analyzing
-
Alto has small hands.
The VF-25 has small legs...
-
...And all this time, we thought Galaxy were the real baddies...
they send someone to burn the hipocow icecream post, no wonder why they destroyed island-3, they were paid by the Nyan Nyan Corporation, eviler than Umbrella.
-
my hope is that Sheryl walks away from the camera as she's very distraught of Alto's death and gets far enough from the bridge before the Breara shoots the bridge of Battle Frontier...it's more than likely Grace will order Breara to kill Leon by shooting the bridge of the Battle Frontier...
as for Alto, the VF17's has a cockpit pods just like the VF11s...i can only assume that's how Alto survives...the cockpit pod disengages from the nosecone of the VF171EX...
does anyone think that Sarah might still alive in the Birdman protodevlin from Macross Zero...
and as Duke Togo mentioned before, he is wearing a freaking ex gear, unless they hacked the fighter he has ejected.
-
See? See? Frontier is overrun with Nyan Nyan! It's like the shoe-making planet in Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
(And actually...yeah; we haven't seen any ads for anything else, have we? Not even hippocow ice cream...)
Nyan nyan monopoly...
-
Hmmm...that's a possibility, but think about how much prime advertising space on Island-1 is given over to Nyan Nyan ads...I'm imagining that it's reached Starbucks levels of insane proliferation.
i would say it is prime advertisement since it is the only advertisement we have seen, unless you are considering Ranka's ninjin ad.

You know... After lots of thinking about it I'm starting to believe that Luca's kiss may have been a death flag for him... He's doomed!!!
i hope he die, the last thing Michel told him was to trust his friends and not act on their behind (or something like that consider his involvement with Leon) he completely switch loyalties as soon as he could.
-
Ya know, he did seem to have an easier time of getting Nanase's attention when he had those pink cheeks.
As for the ethical implications of Luca stealing a kiss: I think we can all agree that it would be horribly unethical in real life, at least under normal circumstances. I'm willing to give Luca a by, though; I just wanted to mention it because it seemed like it'd gotten completely overlooked.
he could kiss her forhead or cheek and leave as a promise to make it through to kiss an actually awake Nanase...
-
Err... It was an act of simpathy and love... Not lust or desire.
What if the Frontier fleet is destroyed? What if she never awakens? What if he gets killed? Again... I would have made the same... No regrets.
cause if you die in case you get caught they can't prosecute you or better yet, Luca has the money to get away with it.
-
1. She'll love Luca back, or
2. "YECH!!! I was kissed by a MAN!! ewwww. gross. why couldn't it have been Alto, at least he LOOKS like a girl!"
ah, but there's actually a third possibility:
3: "Well... he does act like a girl..."
or 4. she starts mumbling after the kiss, "Ranka chan"
-
Err... Seeing that perhaps he was going to die in the upcoming battle... I found Luca's actions acceptable... Hell... I would have acted the same myself...
I think, considering that the whole fleet + colony ships were drag into battle that it was more of a no one is going to survive situation. Still unconsciousness and silence doesn't mean consent.

There should be several with one main Queen.
