i have no interest in a macross film with real actors. It cannot be better than the TV serie. If you want a "better photo realism" quality just watch "DYRL. I like the cartoons, basic, simple. If they release a film they'll change the story again... they'll design new fighters, new colour themes, new toys, new tshirts and all. And can you imagine minmey with brown or blonde hair? Big breast?... anyway

For most of the running time of DYRL, the Zentradi are not speaking in Japanese, they speak in Zentradi. I'm guessing the subtitles are differently coloured to denote that. LOL i really thought it was japanese LOL sorry for my lake of culture here. But, it seemed like "slow" japanese compared to IKARU or ROY's. Interesting to learn that.

hi nice colours. but you should plug the screws holes there (follow one of the yellow arrows) and of course the ones on the back, arms, etc... is there a way to put resin or some kind of rubber in those horrible holes? Would look 10x better. Just an advice

man i totally disagree with that. TV suits are so cool. So realistic. Yes they're not yellow and sparking like glitter rock star ahah but they are realistic. Especially Roy's. Grey, basic, simple. And helmets are way more realistic as well. have you seen the legs of the DYRL uniforms? Is it some kind of survival equipment contained into those fat legs? No no... believe me... TV unifroms are the best hum then you can put your VF into resin, i mean, make a big resin block around it. of course you won't be able to transform it anymore, but at least it will stay good looking for centuries!!

I think it lacks some extra missiles as a simple plane. In space a Super VF is 10x the power of a regular VF. That's a good reason to WANT fast packs IMO. OK - the armors on the legs contain stabilisation systems for space. Useless for atmospheric conditions. If you remove them, maybe stabilisation is better? I don't believe fast packs are so bad aerodynamically and at least, a Super VF1 should be able to enter space with the armor parts + FP.

i recently watched the last robotech episode and man minmay was so stupid. shouting and crying like the kid she is. Irritating. In DYRL she is much more mature but at the same time, in DYRL, Misa is less strong than in Robotech (havent seen the Macross tv series yet). She cries all the time. So why?? She just wants to give up all the time. The personalities are really different in the film. So I think "Rick" made the good choice, but "Hikaru" was wrong!

i admit that with the fast pack the legs engine are not in line with the gravity center of the aircraft and it would be hard to fly it. Stabilisation would be impossible without firing the boosters. I am sure they will find a way to make it fly with fast pack in atmosphere...

Yes, given sufficient thrust, a brick will fly. However, without control surfaces, that brick cannot maneuver. Additionally, if you add too much thrust to that brick, it will start to disintegrate at its' weakest points. The only way a valk with packs could fly would be by using the verniers on the leg armors to keep the tail level, and maneuver left and right, and create roll etc. There is no way that it could carry sufficient fuel in the packs to fire them constantly. So, the pilot would have to vector the feet nozzles down, but that would create forward roll that would need to be countered by flaps, or the nose verniers. Either way, it would be a big fuel consuming bitch. But, the real killer for a valk with packs in atmosphere would be the structural integrity. The whole pack system connects to the backpack, and unless that hinge was immensely strong, it is likely that the whole backpack unit would shear off, and go shooting off in front of the Valk when the pilot kicked in the pack boosters. Sort of like that errant booster rocket that came off the Challenger all those years ago. in real world, do you really think planes could transform into robots? and about the fuel, they're using super fuel or some kind of it. remember in DYRL when they fly the destroyed earth for 15 000 mile before they find the Protoculture city? I think that kind of fuel can be used for ages. Maybe it can regenerate itself 1000 times. Hey, why not? And why no fast pack in atmosphere? My mind is not opposed to that idea. It even likes it and i decide it is possible! I won't change my mind!!

VAT... 20% here. It hurts. taxes (VAT+fees) are approximately 25-30% here (france) Sometimes, they don't ask for VAT or fees. I don't know when they considere we have to pay. Maybe it depends on the size of the package OH MY GOD ! should have ordered the 1/60!

It's cuz he combed it. The unkempt spikey look is required for immortality. he was shot when he was wearing his helmet, so the bad guys didnt see he had long hair. It's a mistake for sure.

LOL acrobatic planes. Do you think that the red millia or the blue max VF-1J look more military than blue angels? Have you ever seen military planes painted red?

I wonder if the fast pack will be grey or blue. Early pictures show grey boosters hardware. I hope they're grey because blue would look like DYRL and I haven't seen it yet (shame on me).
