Collectible Mini Figure series.

Slightly off topic but I'm still pissed at Amazon for hiding almost all of their free content behind Freevee, which they own. All of the Freevee content used to be free with Prime, now it all has commercials. Almost anything I want to watch requires a rental fee or has commercials, so it's almost pointless to have Prime now.

Apparently 2024 is going to be the year of Space. A Space CMF, another $100 spaceship (possibly Blacktron), two Space gift with purchase sets, two sets featuring aliens, and another wave of City Space.
I hope these "Space" sets really end up being true Space, either Classic Space or other vintage unlicensed sci-fi space throwbacks. Or even something new that continues where old Space left off.

I've already preordered this puppy.
You know the great thing about this is that the original alt modes really can't be beat. Other than maybe the Masterpiece line, the new TFs make all kinds of concessions for bot mode to look more cartoony and we get garbage like feet being completely visible on the back of cars...But the G1 TFs heavily favored alt mode.
I say bring more Missing Links. Like say, Smokescreen with separate, posable legs!

I generally only buy MP Transformers, but that Missing Link Prime is going to be irresistible. Getting the original trailer + Roller is great.
I wish they could have beefed up the thighs slightly, but that's a nitpick.

Go ahead and explain it. It’ll be fun for all
But it's so very tiresome.
Suffice to say, that's not Firefly. It's a bowlegged Fortnite character in Gears of War armor with a Star Wars droid.
-
I might actually hate every single thing about that Firefly. If you need me to explain it, you won't understand anyway.

I liked the beach & school scenes but the Mattel headquarters scene definitely felt less fun, more dark and uncomfortable. But for me it could be because of Will Ferrell...unpopular opinion but I find him completely unfunny and uncharismatic.

I'm gonna have to HARD PASS on this garbage now that I've read some reviews. 🤮🤮🤮
It's 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

They took a toy brand aimed at young girls, and promoted the film to bring the whole family to the theatre. But, delivered a film with endless adult context layered on a existential crises where the bottom line is to hate men and hate being in relationships. I don't think it's a joke.
That's aside the uncomfortable lines that responsible parents don't want to explain to their kids.
My biggest surprise is how did Mattel ever sign on this?
You obviously haven't seen the movie. There is literally nothing in it about hating men. Ryan Gosling was incredibly likeable. As were the other male characters.
It was hilarious.

Though I am in agreement with you, maybe we should tone this back just a bit?
I mean I did censor myself. 😁
But I am actually going to tone it back 100% because I tire of this thread. Have fun!

Just hope Kennedy doesn't destroy it. Like what she did to the sequels.
Why does nobody blame JJ Abrams? The guy is a total hack. Is it just "go up the chain to the first woman you find?" 🤣
Do you guys even know what a movie producers job is?

That's quite a drastic comment. But please... elaborate more how you see people with an a opinion about a certain film, could align themselves with N@zi's?
Nah. A hit dog hollers. Enough said.

I think some people in this thread would get along better with the bad guys from Indiana Jones than most fans of the movies. 🤣

SDCC Ultimates Rednok variant Baroness and Red Jackal variant Destro.
These look arguably better than anything in the Classified line, and certainly better than anything else Hasbro has done since the original ARAH line.

I could see it as sort of a GBP situation. The shoulders look unusable though so I'm not loving it.
Yeah. I'm not opposed to a well executed Armored Legioss, but this isn't it.
I like the knee armor though.

I thought Helena was a breath of fresh air and the best part of the movie. She exudes charm, I loved her.
Indy is old so you need another hero character to go with him obviously, and if it was another dude the movie would be a big sausage fest. A woman is the only option that makes sense here.
I think the Indy franchise could continue as movies set in the same universe. Who could resist a movie staring Helena and Short Round? Just have Indy as a side character who makes a cameo (assuming he doesn't die first).
SpoilerMan was I hoping for a surprise Short Round appearance.

Also I'm very excited about this set:
Two different colored canopies in one set. And none of them are "City" color canopies (trans clear/trans light blue/trans black). This almost looks like the kind of brand new Space sets I find randomly in toy stores...when I'm having a really good dream.

I finally did something I've been meaning to do for a while: build the Galaxy Explorer ground base with the left over parts from the One Man Spaceship build. Here it is:

Project A-ko was my gateway drug into Anime and is still one of my favorites
You know I actually didn't like A-ko the first time I watched it? I think the problem was I was 16 and it wasn't a mecha show. Although there *is* a ton of mecha in A-ko so I don't know what I was thinking; maybe because she wasn't piloting them?
Now I love it though, including all the non-mecha parts.
(Same with Totoro. Didn't like it when I saw it 25ish years ago because No Mecha. Love it now.)

Aaand I just bought all 4 Blu Rays from RightStuf. Been a while since I've bought any anime. But I love A-ko and I'm hoping the remasters improved the video quality. I have the old DVDs but man, the masters used for the sequels were in bad shape if I remember correctly.

Admirably, neither individual ship, nor their combined mode, which is a neat trick in and of itself, gives away the fact that they transform. That's always a challenge, and you accomplished it well. Too, they're Classic Space, which always earns points right off the bat with me. Good stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a bunch! Always glad to hear when the transformation isn't too obvious.

I've got another MOC to share.
This was originally an entry in a Eurobricks contest. I had simple requirements (imposed by myself, not the contest): it must be a space ship, it must split into two spaceships, and each must transform. I rushed at the end to finish it, and it worked, but there were lots of things I didn't like about it. So I spent some months tweaking it, and now I like it a lot more.
Here it is: space ship mode!
Just the small front spaceship:
Just the large rear spaceship:
Small spaceship robot mode:
Large spaceship gerwalk & robot modes:
I tried to make this thing rock solid. Both bots are sturdy and poseable, and in space ship mode things generally click into place pretty well. There are just a few weak connections at the edges but nothing structurally unsound.
Anyway I really need to take some better pics. And do some fancy backgrounds. Anyone have any tips for that? I usually use GIMP to auto detect & remove backgrounds but I always find it a PITA with lots of manual touch up needed.
