There, happy now bsu?
Excellent.

I was going to add my own "quote the pictures and add a one word reply" but then I realized that I really didn't feel like spending the time to construct such a post, since MW won't allow me to simply reply to EXO's post and all the quotes it contains. So instead I'll just say stop.

Lets see...
Hands properly proportioned - check
Lack of hot rod flames - check
Played by a real red-head - n/a
Come on MW....don't disappoint me. Does Snake-Eye's have an uneven temper to the blade? Is there too many or too few slots in his visor? Surely there's something about these pictures that rapes somebody's childhood.

Peter Berg is a disciple of Michael Mann, and after seeing The Kingdom I'm certain he's been a dedicated padawaan. Whatever form his vision of Dune will take, rest assured the movie is in far better hands than those of a Stephen Sommers or a Len Wiseman.

Its times like this that I reject the concept of "karma" in the universe. We lose Arthur C Clarke, and yet somewhere out there, lurking in the shadows, is Kevin J Anderson, churning out yet another bland, derivative franchise novel.

No, that's not true at all. There are far worse theards out there than this one....like "LETS REMAKE MACROSS!" esque type threads, those are the worse. That and close second "WHO LIKES MACROSS 7!?"
Personally, I thought the notion of "LETS REMAKE MACROSS 7" was worse than both of those combined.

Ask all you want, you guys. If said bit of line art happens to...shall we say...go missing, then I'll gladly scan the exact same drawing out of the ole' REF Field Guide. After sitting on my bookshelf for about 20 odd years, it'd be about time for that thing to earn its keep.

Too small. Need 1/24 or a 1/18 scale toy with ariculted figure.
Well there was that Kotobukiya 1/24 Raiden, once upon a time. I'll tell you what...you find a kit and recast it, and I'll gladly buy one. At my regular discounted price, of course.

I'm eagerly awaiting the Beagle version. That looks almost perfect.
The way things are going, the Beagle will likely be made entirely of balsa wood and tissue paper, and will spontaneously combust if you even look at it funny. Why is Mospeada so cursed when it comes to merchandise? What did it ever do to anybody to deserve this?

If you're going to serve up copypasta from Wikipedia, at least give us the full-sized portion:
Terrific. Still doesn't show any "conflict" between the first two movies nomenclature, however. T3 is another matter altogether.

Prototype pic of Beagle Ride Armor (from ToysDaily). It looks fantastic IMO, skinny legs and all
Post of the year! Great find, Hiriyu.
-
Great build! I especially like the lights. Did you consider lighting the cockpit as well? If I had to nitpick, I'd only say that she still looks too clean. The Falcon needs streaks of grime running down every surface.

"Responts"
Pardon me. Immature cretins who can't spell. My mistake.

The first two movies contradict themselves with the model numbers, and additional bonus material on the DVDs even contradicts the movies. It's messy, and it's all for the sake of trademarks, but what are you gonna do?
No. The first movie refers to Ah-nuhld as both an "800 series" and a "Cyberdyne Systems Model 101." In T2 the Arnoldnator refers to himself again as a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 (when he tells John his meeshun ees to proteckt you.) So it's obvious that the full nomenclature includes both, a series # and a model #.
Ah, here we go:
In the T2 commentary, Cameron states that the Model 101s all look like Schwarzenegger, with a 102 looking like someone else, leading to speculation that the 101 refers to the physical appearance while the 800 refers to the endoskeleton common to many models. -
Robotech fans turn out to be a bunch of immature cretins? Who woulda thunk it?

If Toynami is really collaborating with Beagle, I hope they go with the Beagle design and drop their own
Not to worry, George Sohn assures us that the two designs are "very comparable to each other in form and function." Hell, I'm sure we wouldn't even notice the difference between the two.
-
Ahem, ILM still makes models.
Fixed that for you, there.

It's time for this show to actually start explaining some stuff, people that come back from the dead, black cloud, polar bears, submarines, The Real Dharma Program, etc.
Most of that stuff has already been explained.

Jesus....take it to PM, ladies. Stop wasting MW bandwidth on this shite. Every time one of you replies to this thread, it pushes another, potentially more interesting and far less annoying thread off of the front page.*
* and don't bother pointing out the irony of me replying to this thread and doing the same thing.

I wonder... will this film have a black monolith pop in out of nowhere? That would be a sweet tribute to the film "2001."
10,001...A Stone Age Odyssey?
(Wasn't the novel 3001 stretching the premise thin enough already?)

I just wound up with a free double pass to a screening of 10,000 BC (how is the internet going to abbreviate that?) for this wednesday. I'll be sure to post how awful it is.

Hopefully the Beagle ride armor isn't just vaporware,
...and hopefully it won't be supplanted by the Toynami version. Lets not lose sight of that looming threat. If that happens,...well, Megahouse will likely be as good as it gets.

Thanks for nothing, Diefenbaker. Next time I pass through Saskatoon, I'll be sure to stop your grave to piss on it.
